Power, gain and betrayal alleged as disgraced Adams' aide Eric Ulrich's corruption trial begins
In the company of cash-hungry cronies and the grips of a grinding gambling habit, the tenure of former Mayor Eric Adams’ Buildings chief Eric Ulrich was marked by “public power, private gain, and the betrayal of the city’s trust,” a prosecutor charged Monday as Ulrich’s bribery trial got underway in Manhattan.
Assistant District Attorney Guy Tardanico said that as a Republican city councilman, senior adviser to Adams, and ultimately, head of the city Department of Buildings, Ulrich, 41, gave his friends easy access to the highest levels of government, “including the mayor.”
“They say politics is the art of the possible, but, for these defendants, public office was nothing more than an office for personal gain,” Tardanico said in his opening statement.

Lost URGENT: Please help me recover my lost green suitcase in Harlem 🙏🏾
About a week ago, I lost my green Jeep suitcase at the 135th Street subway station in Harlem while waiting for the downtown 2 train. I have really sentimental personal items in there that are devastating to lose.
I've already filed a report with the MTA, but I'm reaching out to the community in case someone found the suitcase, picked it up for safekeeping, or knows where it might be.
It's a green, Jeep-branded rolling suitcase. If you've seen it or have any information that could help me recover it, please DM me as soon as possible. I'm happy to verify that it's mine.
Please share this post with anyone who might be able to help. Even a small lead could make a huge difference right now. I'd be extremely grateful to get my personal belongings back.
