Help! Looking for a reliable 10.5” Barrel for my .45 Tommy gun.

As the title says. I’ve got a auto ordinance 1927A-1 with a 18” Barrel including the compensator. Looking for a 10.5” barrel with some good reviews. Been looking at the ones on Auto Ordiance, but heard bad things about them when they are full auto threw them. Ammo catching, not cycling, ect. Saw them on Kehirs website, but were sold out. Just looking for some guidance and experience if you’ve got one. Thank you.

Help! WASR 10 problems.

I would post this on r/ak47 but I got banned for showing my feet.

Picked up my first WASR a couple months ago and I’m having a few issues with it.

Sometimes when firing the bcg will get stuck towards the rear and I have to give it a good back to go back forward.

The main problem I’m having with this gun though is chambering and ejecting rounds. Sometimes live ammo, and brass gets lodged up between the dust cover and the piston when it cycles. I’m thinking about replacing the extractor.

I’ve tried several different mags but the issue persists. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Online retailers that ship firearms to Puerto Rico

I know Bud's Guns and EuroOptic ship there, but it seems like most other retailers don't. I also couldn't find what I was looking for on GunBroker, since I'm after some historic firearms. Does anyone know of other large online retailers that ship there? I'd like more options for online shopping. I have a carry license there.

Maadi MISR 10 Magazine

My mother recently passed away and she left me a couple of rifles she had from her ex-husband but they do not have magazines. I really took a liking to the Maadi and would love to take it to the range one of these days, anyone know where I could source one or two from? I've looked online and can't find any active listings.

Recently bought a sporterized type 38 Arisaka and I can’t find out what type of rifle it used to be before it got sported. I was hoping someone could ID it so i can hopefully start looking for replacement parts to rebuild it back to its original condition. Whether that be a full length rifle, a carbon or something else that I don’t know.

Question Bullet proof cloak / fabric ballistic shield

• Upvotes

Alright not a gun guy but have no wear else to post this , so treat this a half shit post / half genuine question cause I gotta known from the experts

Background I've got arms and armor autism and I love a good weird thing in that category

So I saw a video of a blanket blocking blunt arrows from a 70lbs bow with field points.

Could you do the same thing with bullet proof fabric

Like could you use a thinner piece of bullet proof fabric held 1-2ft away from the body to stop a bullet and not deal with the downsides of a thinner vest like it still penetrating some before the vest stops it

Obviously a kevlar cloak is not practical, because it'd be heavy as hell and need to be actively used and anything armor piercing is going straight though. But also gun wizards will bullet proof shield cloaks

I'm like 90% sure bat man has done this exact thing in the comics and John wick did something similar in the catacombs scene in the second movie

Edit: I just realized imaginary weaponry is a subreddit, I'll keep this post up here unless it gets removed , but have fun with this if you want

Question Thoughts on 7mm Backcountry?

Starting to get back into bolt guns and Ive been thinking about Backcountry for the past few weeks.

Seems like cool tech that could be used for several calibers. Getting 300 win mag performance out of a 308 is something that people are already trying like NAS3Prograde from Shelltech (didn't work all that great, closer to a weak 30-06)

I hunt northwestern PA and love my 185 gr berger hybrids from my 300 win. Only thing that sucks is carrying a 24" gun with a can through a thorn thicket.

Christensen arms makes a lightweight 16.25" 7mm back country that would make an awesome brush gun.

Anyone have or shot a backcounty and can tell me if the accuracy is garbage from pushing the load too hot? Especially of youve shot it out of a 16-18 inch gun.

Acting Attorney General calls on Alaska Legislature to fix gun law gray area

Well, at least one state is looking to fix the gray area that the ATF's decision created for the 15 states with their own NFA laws. I hope this sets a precedent.
