SP89 and SP5K PDW

Recently got this pre ban 91 and wondering what optic would be good and anything else I may want?

Looking to get a new EDC and my first HK. Currently running a P365 Xmacro (w/o the comp). Have really taking a liking to hammer fired guns over the last couple years, and would like to make the change on my EDC. I find the xmacro to be easy to conceal. Leaning towards LEM at this time and don’t have an issue buying used. Better off getting an SK with an extended mag or go bigger and get the standard model?

I saw that the the vp9a1 exists with the coa over in europe and it will possibly be released in the US. Until that happens does anyone know if it is possible to get a vp9a1 cut for the coa and if so who can do it?

But it’s 100% the optics issue. Ran 14382 rounds through different models and this is the first time anything at all didn’t work as it should. That’s VP9X with Trijicon SRO and HK plate #2. Others have SCS or irons, no issues on either.

I got a C93 that I'm trying to put a Vortex 5x on. The mount that came with it doesn't go far back enough. Anyone know a T1/T2 mount that can clear the rear sight without going sky high?

I pulled my USP out of the safe where it has been sitting for several years. Added a threaded barrel, new night sights,

And a light/laser. It's back in the rotation with an obsidian forty five suppressor. I am still considering getting the slide milled for an optic.

Absolutely loving this thing so far. Just waiting on an RCM barrel and a SAW shiv to come in and it’ll be complete.

Ok HK family you guys had me rolling and laughing on my questions about the mag extensions for the mark 23. So I have a more technical concer to throw at you guys today. My wife’s new MR 556a4 first range trip running suppressed setting, her ejection pattern was between 2 to 230 with a few under 2oclock. Is this normal? Anyone else with the same setup please feel free to help a brother out. Should I look into getting the other screw for the gas block if this will damage her rifle?

My LGS had one last MR556a4 upper in stock so I pulled the trigger. Incredibly happy to finally be part of the HK family. Just using a spare lower and parts till my IPM4D lower comes in.

Why is there such a difference in price between a 5/6 detent plate for the “USP” at 20$, and a 5/6 detent plate for the HK45/45C at 55$? I guess I’m wrong but I was under the impression they’re all backwards compatible?

So, last Friday I was practicing reloads off a table in preparation for a steel challenge match. They have a little table you shoot from, and you can stage the mags on top. After a couple reps I get a dead trigger… rack the slide, a round with no primer strike comes out… that gets me thinking. It’s happened before during other matches, but I didn’t get a chance to go find the round I ejected in the heat of the moment.

So naturally I had to figure out why it was doing that. The figuring out part involved me ramming the mag home as hard as I possibly could. And I can consistently get the gun to decock itself while reloading.

When I got home, I discovered that if I beat the empty magwell off my reloading bench, that would also decock the pistol quite easily.

I’m a little frustrated by this, I shot a match yesterday and it happened twice during reloads when I was trying to be gently. So I’m going to swap grip frames.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? This gun has 30ish k rounds through it. Also has a Greyguns hybrid trigger.

Wanting to get a HK SP5 full size are there any deals you guys have seen lately or know when are some coming up. Also new to me USP 9mm. Looking to update/upgrade like the sights,trigger. Pick it up new from a friend. It’s gonna be my daily carry from now on, coming from a Glock 19 and 43x

I have always wanted a MK 23, but I wanted on in black. Apparently I'm not alone, because LGS had a pretty decent deal on this. Long story short, I now own an Olive Green MK 23.....and it's rapidly growing on me!
