Announcement! [MOD NOTICE] Uptick in posts/comments related to selling firearms.
Hello Everyone,
I hope your week is off to a good start and didn't sleep through your alarm this morning.....unlike myself.
There is something that I wanted to make a quick post about.
We have seen an increase in posts/comments from users trying to sell their firearms lately.
Just a quick reminder:
Firearm sales/trades are NOT allowed here.
Any post or comment involving the sale or trade of firearms will be removed and violations will result in a ban.
Note that valuations or thoughts on what something may be worth is still allowed. This only applies to directly advertising/offering a firearm for sale here for other users to buy.
Reddit has strict rules about this, and we need to follow them to keep the subreddit active and in good standing.
If you see someone trying to sell their rifles, please report them as I will likely miss a few.
.......Oh and making a sale post in another language doesn't help evade this either......
Thanks for your cooperation!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Question Mosin 1943
Hi. Are you able to make out the year of manufacture? The shop lists it as 1943. It is Mosin wz 44.

Question How much do Mosins cost
I’ve been calling my local stores and one has 2 in and that’s it, it’s a 1918 mosin for $799 and a Swedish or Finnish one for $699? I see online stores but never bought from one online and it’s a lot cheaper

Question Thoughts on modernizing an M44 with a KPYK chassis without ruining its character?
I've been kicking around the idea of putting my Russian M44 Mosin-Nagant into a KPYK CRC 7U001 chassis, and I'm curious what other Mosin owners think.
Before anyone grabs a pitchfork, let me say that I genuinely respect the rifle for what it is. Part of the reason I like the Mosin so much is its history. It's a WWII-era design that served through some incredibly significant periods of military history, and I have no interest in turning it into some goofy tacticool monstrosity.
The M44 was actually the first firearm I ever purchased when I turned 18. I paid $100 for it back when surplus Mosins were everywhere. I still remember taking it to the range and putting about 50 rounds through it in one session. The steel buttplate beat me up so badly that I had a bruise on my shoulder and upper arm for the next week, but I loved every minute of it.
What interests me about the KPYK chassis isn't trying to make the Mosin something it's not. It's more about improving ergonomics, adding better optics mounting options, and making the rifle more enjoyable to shoot while still respecting its origins. I'd also keep all of the original parts so it could always be returned to its original configuration.
For those who have used modern chassis systems on a Mosin, especially the KPYK CRC 7U001, what was your experience? Did it enhance the rifle, or did it take away from what makes a Mosin a Mosin?
I'd be interested to hear opinions from both the "keep it original" crowd and the "modernize it" crowd.

My Mosins 1945 M44
My M44 is an absolute turd, but it is fun. Fireball is awesome! The trigger is SUPER loose though, my other 2 aren't nearly as bad. On my 7th shot yesterday the bolt pulled straight out and didn't stop lol. Guess I'll take it apart and see if I can make it any better.

ID help Obligatory M38 identification question
I recently picked up this 1943 Izhevsk M38 mosin and noticed a few markings I didn't see on mosinmuseum. What do the symbols above the 1943 mean in the first picture? I know the top symbol means made in Russia. What is the "7" below the Izhevsk factory stamp?
I know what the "k" in the second picture means but haven't seen the T before. What's above the T?
Finally, I know what the "n" is from the third picture but can't tell what the symbol above it is.
The rifle is in the correct M38 stock and appears to be counterbored. In my mind, the "n" from the third picture reinforces that it's counterbored.
What do you guys think?

My Mosins A couple really cool Finn captures. 1941 Izhevsk 91/30 all completely original and matching and a 1941 Izhevsk m38, buttplate matches.

Question Question about the Bramit
Was the Bramit device designed to also work with the Nagant M1895 revolver? I have seen some photos suggesting it, but I can’t really find any information about this.
Wikipedia doesn’t have an English language version of this article but the answer may be here: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%9C%D0%B8%D1%82
There’s another picture on the the Internet Movie Firearms Database: https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Talk:Nagant_Revolver
I want to know if a Bramit device designed for a Mosin Nagant 91/30 will fit on the revolver. It sort of makes sense: same caliber barrel 🤷♂️ EDIT: After doing a bit more reading, it seems the opening for the locking portion needs to be opened up more to fit the longer front sight base. I posted a link to a modern reproduction that supposedly fits the revolver (caveat: it may need to be fitted by a gunsmith).

Question M44 stock replacement.
Has anyone bought a stock from clearview investments? I’m debating on swapping my ATI stock out for an original m44 stock. The rifle is already been bubbad so I’m wondering if it’s even worth it.

Question Mosin M91 Tikka 1927
Greetings to everyone! Today, another Mosin rifle was added to my collection. It has many different markings. I'm asking the experts from this forum to decipher these markings, especially on the butt of stock. How original is this rifle? And how valuable is it? Thank you in advance for your help!

Question Need trigger group
Good day folks, does anyone have a spare parts bin with a trigger group and extractor in it? Or an old receiver that has all its parts? I'm willing to pay but I'm hoping anyone has this stuff just collecting dust

Bubba One bubbad mosin
So far suppressed and a Holosun 510c. Sprayed the stock with 6 layers of durable cabinet finish. Not sure whats next but its going to get worse? Also it's stamped as an m44, but has a 18.5 inch barrel?

Question Help me with buying an M39
Hey guys,
I found an M39 I'd love to get. The seller provided only few low quality photos of the rifle as a whole and I want to ask him for more, detailed and specific images before I go see the gun in person. The problem is, I'm not exactly sure what to focus on and what images to ask for to correctly evaluate the gun's condition.
Here's some of the info the seller provided:
1941 VKT-made M39, hex receiver, matching numbers on bolt and barrel, arsenal refubrished and refinished, very slightly matte bore.
I'd like to get a rifle in good condition, not only for collection, but for ocassional shooting as well.
Thanks!

My Mosins Finnish 91/30
Picked this up for four and a half Bennies today. 1944 tikka barrel on a 1938 Tula receiver. It did come with a Heinz 57 of a sling (two finnish dog collars of different colors, and a ‘52 dated russian strap), and since I have a spare Finnish fabric sling, I’ll probably kitbash those together to make an at least completely Finnish sling. All numbers match except the butt plate. Interestingly it’s in a Russian stock but it has been with the rifle for a long time, as evident by a reverse impression of the Tula tang mark in the wood.
