Three years ago when I first started getting into this hobby, I remember saying to myself āthe day that I buy a brand new crk is the day Iāve made itā
Have I āmade itā? Nowhere close. Am I dumber with my money? Yes. Do I constantly have a sore thumb and a fat grin? 100%

Iām noticing if my thumb is placed on the jimping and if I scoot my thumb back I kind of unlock it a little bit. I been trying to get used to it for a couple weeks. I didnāt love it to begin with and now Iām noticing this. Probably back to the Delica. All roads always lead back to Delica for me.

Iāve always been impressed with their quality, machining, and QC, although I have heard that their heat treat is slightly lower than it should be. When I first got into collecting folders, WE was one of the first makers that I bought so maybe nostalgia plays a part in my opinion? The knives in the second picture are the WE Knives that I reach for the most. (Let me know if you have any questions about the names of the knives).

Are these cheap damascus?
I got them from an elderly lady in Waldport, OR at a small local art shop. She told me they are 1095 steel and another i cant remember. She explained how she bought them as blanks then finished them by hand, handles included.
Only problem is that all three you see here cost me 175 total. Seems cheap for real damascus. Even if they wrre blanks, thats a lot of effort put into them for under 100 per knife.
What do you guys think? She seemed passionate about the craft, seemed like she knew what she was talking about, and even had photos of her little garage workshop with her in them, holding a couple of the knives.
She said the 3rd one was camel bone. 2nd was a resin molded handle, and the big one seems to be a plethora of different materials.
Did I strike gold, or just gold painted rocks? Either way I contributed to the community art gallery as commission ls of each sale go back to the shop
EDIT: i knew it deep down...I guess I just needed to hear itš

This is a 93mm with Burlap micarta scales from IronLeafCustom on Etsy and a sick Magnacut Re-blade done by FB:Andrew Karpinski FBG: TuckerWork Knvies the bead is a Craft Brew Junkies ti/micarta bead. I carry this nearly daily and just love it! I couldn't put a reasonable price on it š
Smith & Sons Bandit Fixed Blade
There really isn't anything special about this small fixed blade... I just like the size and the super unique burlap micarta handles... It is discontinued and seems damn near impossible to find! I think they used to be like 125 bux direct from Smith&Sons and I could absolutely not sell it for that cheap and it's DEFINITELY used condition. For that reason its NFS because the price (reflecting MSRP) would also be unreasonable š¤£

Wanted one of these for ages for my collection. Managed to knick my thumb with it so it's definitely sharp.
