Question Know anything about this knife?
A knife my girlfriend's mom recently gave me...I think from my girlfriend's grandfather (will ask more in the morning). It has an assisted opening, a safety switch, and what appear to be painted metal handles.

Showcase The "Frontier Dirk" from Kult Of Athena
I've had it for just a month or so now and carry it every day. I use it for cutting cheese, eating steak, opening packages, chopping up weed because I don't have a grinder. I think it looks really nice and it doesn't stick out too much while carrying it. If I remember right it was, like, $25-$28 bucks with free shipping and totally worth it

Showcase Inherited another one of my Papaw’s old knives.
Always love when my Mimi comes across more of my Papaw’s old belongings. This time she found one of his old Barlow knives. I was very glad to receive this beauty. I plan to clean it up as best as possible and display it with other belongings of his. Also does anyone have any information on this particular model and or roughly the date on it? When opened it’s roughly 8 1/2 inches and when closed it’s close to 5 inches.

Question "Leftys are only 2% of knife sales."
Hi Everyone,
About a year ago I asked a knife designer who had batches made by Reate if he would make a lefty version of one of his knives (he used to make lefty versions of previous designs) He said he wouldn't because lefty knives are only 2% of sales.
Question for you all: Why would dedicated left-handed knives only be 2% of sales if left handed people are 10% of the population?
His answer never made sense for me, so I'm hoping one of you might be able to explain it.
NKD! New Scale Day!
So I hope these photos came out right. Basically a shadow salt. Sage 5 with applied weapons technologies Shadow Chrome scales. Came out pretty damn good if I do say so myself. I especially thought the reflective DLC blade on the sage 5 salt went well with the scales.

Question Looking for blades like the RR Station
I really like the look blade profile and tip geometry of the RR Station by Knife Standards. In particular I like the rounded, blunter slope on the tip as opposed to the sharper designs you see from makers like Vosteed. From what I’ve gathered they manufacture in small batches so options and patterns are limited. Can anyone recommend makers who design their sheepsfoots with a similar shape? It looks like qsp’s Penguins come close.

Modding Another kabar this time a newer model made it full convex then gave it a small micro bevel.

NKD! Dreamtech
Thought I would switch gears a bit. I present my Dreamtech D9402B
Bead blasted.
Warncliff blade.
Titanium handle.
M390 Blade.
I love the design and weight of this one. Not the smoothest action, but certainly better than most. Pictures don’t really show the inlays well but they look good in my opinion.

Question Left by my grandfather, looking for info
My grandfather passed recently and this was in a box of stuff, looking for info on this knife if anyone knows. He was in the Vietnam war, so its possible it came from overseas.
Edit: thank you all, it was always going to be a keepsake!
