Opinion Go get Shedeur Sanders
He’s better than McKee and can move around a little bit. Probably wouldn’t take much to get him. I can’t handle a whole season of Tanner.

We as a community have decided to limit certain types of posts to a few days a week to ensure other content is still visible throughout the rest of the week. Meme posts will be allowed from game end through Monday (if the game is on Thursday, Saturday, or Monday, memes will be allowed from game end through the following day) and jersey/crafts/pet posts will only be allowed on Swag Saturday. Towards the end of the season when games fall on Saturdays, we may move or skip Swag Saturday depending on what is going on that week. The mods are using automod features to automatically post recurring items at 6AM Eastern Time to remind the sub of this. Memes and swag are allowed in the normal feed, but NFL discussion and free talk are limited to the stickied threads.
For more info, see the subreddit rules.
No other games today.

Getting sucked into an argument about medical decisions you have very incomplete facts on is a total waste of time - nobody knows what happened with Hurts except the small group of people involved in the situation
But what you can argue convincingly is this organization as a whole committed absolute strategic malpractice here. Even if the entire medical staff & Hurts agreed this was all fine, where was the person in that decision making group that was supposed to speak up and say “hey fellas you know if we’re all wrong and if this condition DOES get worse then it’s gonna come out that we all sat around talking about this and decided to do it anyway and our employer is gonna look terrible and we’ll hear all about possible legal exposure and anyway all of us in this room right now are gonna lose our jobs”?
This wasn’t like sending him out there with a sprained ankle saying “can’t make it worse”, this was something where the guy could’ve DIED. It’s astonishing to believe nobody in that room considered the optics of this exact scenario that’s now playing out. They all look grossly incompetent and detached from reality. You have to assume Lurie is humiliated and furious seeing this spill out of the toilet and onto his shoes, but who knows anymore. Bottom line is they have no adults in the room and are paying the predictable price.

It’s a new question for the Howie Roseman-Sirianni partnership. From 2022 to 2025, the Eagles entered November with 7-0, 7-1, 5-2 and 6-2 records. They’ve looked to bolster a championship-contending roster. This year, Roseman could be selling to other championship contenders.
If playoff contention seems like only an optimist’s dream by the end of the month, Roseman would benefit more from bottoming out than an inspired late-season push to improve the record. The latter occurred in 2011, when they were 4-8 and won their last four games to finish .500. Lurie called that finish “fool’s gold.” Roseman, who must be a steward of the franchise’s long-term interests, would benefit more from higher draft picks (and more draft capital) than from the cosmetic appeal of a better record. This is an organization that effectively tanked its 2020 season finale, which better positioned it for the draft and let Roseman be creative in adding draft picks in a series of moves to build a Super Bowl roster.
The problem with this conversation? The worse the Eagles finish, the worse it is for Sirianni’s future with the organization. This might be a sensitive subject — and some might even call it unfair speculation — for a coach who has won a Super Bowl and has the best winning percentage among qualified active coaches. One losing season, with the franchise quarterback lost after Week 5, would seem like an acceptable mulligan.
This is also where Lurie’s history is instructive. The focus has been on trajectory — not resume.
After the 2020 season, Pederson was fired after his first post-Super Bowl losing season. Lurie said Pederson did not “deserve” to be dismissed, but the franchise made the move to set a new direction. If Pederson had returned in 2021, Lurie felt the coach would need to do everything possible to maximize that season. The Eagles knew they needed to build for beyond 2021.
Lurie fired Chip Kelly in 2015 after his first losing season following two 10-win campaigns. The franchise’s direction was a concern. After the 2012 season, Lurie moved on from Andy Reid — the winningest coach in franchise history — when Reid needed a change of scenery and the Eagles needed a fresh voice.

I commented this on a previous post, but given how frustrating it has been seeing person after person make unhinged proclamations, rooted in unfounded assumptions, has compelled me to make it its own damn post:
Less than a day into receiving the news regarding Jalen, and unsurprisingly, the reactionary takes generated by people with zero medical expertise or information outside of hot take media outlets (some of which have already been retracted) is proliferating faster than bacteria in a Petri dish. People are so quick to make dramatic proclamations about Jalen having potentially played his last game, without knowing the difference between a chronic genetic clotting disorder (thrombophilia) and a trauma induced blood clot (which Hurts' suffered). These are the same people quick to jump on the narrative of the organization not having acted responsibly with regard to Hurts' condition. There's a reason folks are encouraged against googling symptoms and self-diagnosing, and the same rule applies to this situation. Unless you're a medical professional, specifically one that has been working on Hurts' case, you really don't possess the information necessary to make assumptions or draw meaningful conclusions as it pertains to the situation. So maybe, spare us all the dramatic BS founded on information you don't possess, and let the cards fall how they may, ya jabronis.

We could win with 7-8 wins lol I’ll never be someone who wants to tank. Make the playoffs and see what happens. I also want to see Milton play.

My 8yo daughter almost broke into tears when I told her that J Hurts was done for the year, far and away her favorite player. "He'll be back next year for the eagles, right dad? Cuz he's the best." I hope so, kid. It's much more than a game, rest up QB1.

Whole division has a legit excuse as to why their team sucks this season (Giants, Washington, and Eagles are all banged up). One team does not benefit from said excuse. That would be the Cowboys. They just suck. Honestly, that must feel even worse as a fan. A perfect chance to take the division essentially uncontested, and the team just can't do it. Its a beautiful disaster of a division.

This is a very sad situation. It is simply not a case of malpractice or misconduct on the part of the organization.

Everyone around me knows that I am a Jalen Stan.
Although
The two players I watch the most are Q and Jihaad
I love Qs game and lock down corners have always been a favorite of mine.
Jihaad, he’s not having a good season in coverage by any means, pretty poor actually. Outside of all the defensive draft picks, 11 was my favorite pick. I was very upset that Sonny styles went to Washington. Only watch the games for him. Sonny is the next Fred Warner. It’s the rookie and vet. What I see from Sonny is what I saw in Jihaad last year. Really hoping he figures it out and makes that jump into Baun / top 5 category by the end of the season or into season 3.
What about you? Who do you watch the most?

Everybody has their pitchforks out pointing at the organization because of Hurts playing in the London game. As of right now their story is that they cleared Hurts to play and a follow up scan after the game showed something different than before the game. It is totally possible that it was a series of unfortunate events and no matter how badly we want someone to blame, that person doesn’t exist. It’s also possible that some people in the organization prioritized the team over Jalen’s long term health. If that’s the case there will definitely be an investigation and in time we will all know. I am not telling you what happened, I am just asking you to settle down until you know what happened.

Is there anyway for us to fire Mannion as OC then sign him to a QB contract to play in the very offense he instilled for the team and show us how its supposed to be run
Honestly feel like a lack of coordination between jalen's agent and the eagles front office.. additionally sending Nick out for the press conference feels like a miss by Howie. Something is just not adding up
r/eagles • u/thepersianpig • 12h ago
If we have any chance to win the Superbowl, we need to bring back Donovan and Wentz. I think that Howie needs to drop 4 of our 1st round picks to get Wentz back and $500 million to McNabb.
In all seriousness these wish making posts are absurd. I hope that Hurts recovers for next season, because y'all are insufferable. Eagles gotta stick with what we got and look forward with the current QB room.
There's not a single backup QB in the league that is available and worth coughing up picks for.
There certainly is not a single QB in the upcoming draft that is worth a 1st or 2nd for this organization and system.
Sirianni will be gone. Next year will be a new year with new staff and a new head coach. We need to hope and pray for Jalen's recovery at this point
Hope the bandwagons come back to reality or jump to another tram.
Go Birds 🦅

Is Nick Foles available? How long for Foles to get back jnto condition? Get up to speed on the playbook? 3 games until the bye week, could he be ready to start in five weeks? And can we get some pickups in the O-line to protect him?

Hey Eagles fans im here to offer a olive branch from a cowboys fan for peace to say the hurts situation is genuinely scary. Even though he’s an eagle this is beyond football and I genuinely wish him the best. He’s a hell of a competitor and I never want to see a player risk their life for football. I wish him the best in his recovery and hope to see him back on the field again.
