Protection What secondary method of birth control can I use with the pill other than condoms?

I’ve been on a birth control pill for quite a while now and am comfortable with it. I’m becoming sexually active again after a couple years hiatus (I take it primarily for medical reasons) and I would feel more secure with a second method of birth control. However, I’m not really a fan of condoms. I’ve used them in the past, but I’m now also on an antidepressant that reduces my natural lubrication quite a bit and the sensitivity down there just a little bit. At the same time, I find that condoms also seem to need extra lube and suck up my natural lubricant. As a result, I don’t enjoy intercourse with condoms anymore, even though they used to be fine in the past. Everything quickly dries out, there’s too much friction and nothing will move. It’s uncomfortable and not pleasurable, to say the least.

Are there any other secondary birth control methods that can be used with the combination pill other than condoms? I know spermicide is technically one but I’ve only ever heard of it being used with condoms.

Please do not recommend a specific brand or type of condoms to try instead, suggest getting off the pill, or to look into a different antidepressant. These are not viable options for me and you do not know my entire medical situation. If there’s no other methods, just say so. Thank you!

STIs Is getting tested once every 3 months really enough?

I'm having a ho phase

So far I've mainly been having sex with women (as a woman) and doing low-risk activities. But next month I want to start sleeping with men and doing more high-risk activities (mainly PIV)

I think it'd be fun to sleep with a lot of different guys. Maybe multiple in a week, if I can find enough who are willing

The recommendation for very sexually active people is to get tested once every 3-6 months. But is that really enough if I'm sleeping with that many different people? I plan to use condoms with everyone, but I know that doesn't protect you from everything

I could get tested in between each new guy. But since you have to wait a week for results, that'd _really_ slow down the pace

Health concerns After sex, deep period like pain. NSFW

After sex I seem to always get period like pain now? I posted about this like few months ago and figured the period like pain was from him hitting too deep, but now we had sex with just the tip of penis and the same thing happened? Why??? I don't understand what causes this.

Erection Issue Is whiskey dick a random event?

As the title asks, im wondering is it something that happens to people constantly or is it situation dependant or what.

To clarify why im asking i will just describe the situation. And to be clear i dont feel insecure from it nor was it awkward with the lady after it happened, which i thank her for, she was very understanding.

Night out, club, there till it closes, had about 7 beers (0.5L, 5%), 4 shots (0.03L, 40%), didn't feel THAT drunk, functioning, walking normally, probably because this was stretched over 5-6 hours. Anyways was there with a friend and long story short we connected really well with 2 girls there and one of them invited us to hang out after at her place, her friend and my friend kinda just fell asleep while me and this girl hit it off, the chemistry was there. So the other 2 then left and we had the room for ourselves and well we started making love one could say. Atp though i think we were both pretty tired (it was 6.30am) but we still both wanted sex i guess, then after foreplay, condom goes on but lil guy dont want to get up, shit was so embarassing but all good we just fell asleep and that was it.

The whole point of why im asking is because this has NEVER happened to me and I lowkey thought i was immune to it or something, i was much more drunk on other occasions and never really had a problem getting it up. Now i want to know if this is avoidable in the future and if there is something that can be done on the spot or beforehand to avoid this.

Thank you in advance

STIs Sexual Health: Recurrent Yeast Infections After Sex

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here. I’m a 30-year-old man, and I’ve been with my girlfriend for a year. We’ve been living together for about five months.

Here’s our situation: my girlfriend keeps developing yeast infections (vaginal candidiasis) after we have sex. This has started to affect our sex life to the point where we’ve stopped having sex regularly because we’re worried it will happen again.
At one point, we both had PCR tests to rule out other sexually transmitted infections. Both of our results were negative, and the only positive result in her case was for candidiasis.
She was treated with fluconazole, and after completing the treatment, we started having sex again. However, her symptoms came back.
We’ve tried to be careful about hygiene to prevent this from happening again. For example, she washes her underwear separately, but despite all these precautions, we still don’t understand why this keeps happening or what we can do to prevent it.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their partner? Have you found a solution, or is there anything you’d recommend looking into? I’d also like to know whether sex itself, condoms, lubricants, or other factors could play a role.
I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences you could share. This situation is affecting us, and we’d really like to find a solution.

Thanks in advance

Libido and Stamina i want to help my boyfriend build his sexual stamina but he's stubborn (even though he wants it last longer too)

my boyfriend and i don't have sex too often because we both have pretty stressful jobs and busy lives. when we do, it's pretty short-lived. like, really short. i personally would love to spend more time in pound town, like actual PIV sex, because i love being close to him in that way. oral is cool, touching is cool, we do that too. i just REALLY like PIV.

we both know he finishes fast. he's apologized for it since the beginning of time and for the first two years i told him it wasn't an issue, but over this last year i've slowly started to communicate otherwise. the truth is that it wasnt really worth bringing up at first because my body was so primed just by being around him that i genuinely did feel satisfied even if i didn't finish. then the honeymoon phase ended and i don't turn into a fountain just because he's sitting close to me anymore. i suggested we do some research, and when i bring up a solution he's resistant to it. edging? he says it doesn't work. muscle tension? he says it doesn't matter if he's tensed or not. breathing? he breathes fine. lots of foreplay? he doesn't like giving oral "all the time." he's the most stubborn person i know so i sort of expected him to resist but not this much.

in his last serious relationship he did have to give his ex oral every time before they had sex otherwise she never got to finish. for the first year or so he would give me oral every time but since we moved in together he's stopped doing it, or he changes his technique every time and it seems like he's just digging around down there, or he just isn't horny enough to do it and wants a quickie. sometimes he just wants a hand or blowjob (i totally don't mind if he doesn't last for blowjobs because i'm secretly not the biggest fan of giving them), and he finishes fast for those too. sex has been disappointing for me for a long time now and it's gotten to the point where i don't really even get excited it for anymore. i also take a long time to warm up and can have multiple orgasms so i get in my head about it and end up never finishing.

i have no clue how to proceed in this situation. i gave him a handy two days ago and wasn't exactly into it. i felt really bad about that but man, he always get to cum! i wanna cum!

Skill improvement How to properly edge my girlfriend?

Title ^, wondering how to as a 20 (M) with my 20 (F) girlfriend. I have heard that it can increase her pleasure, yet I know if I stop oral before she finishes, then she’ll lose her progress and kind of resets. Is there a way to properly edge that’s other than this method? Does edging actually work or does it vary from person to person (and cause a reset in orgasm progress?)

Skill improvement How to be more dominate in bed

Girlfriend likes to be more submissive in bed, and would like me to be more dominant. Problem is that I'm not. I just don't care about giving commands, or dirty talk at all, and they are basically boner killers for me.

Upon googling, Google mentions things like calm commands like "get on all fours" and shit, but I just flat out don't care about what position we are in. Like at all. Nor do I care about what acts were doing, if it's oral or piv or anal or whatever. I'm just fine with whatever and rarely feel a need to alter positions unless specifically requested. It doesn't seem make or break, but I would like to leave my partner more fulfilled.

Anybody out there like me have a partner that likes dominant partners, but is really not? How did you tackle this issue?

Communication Sebaceous cyst on ballsack - how to communicate about this to potential partners without scaring

If you google sebaceous cyst you will get a very disturbing set of images. The 2 on my scrotum literally look like ingrown hairs/pimples and appeared at a time when no sex was being had. I literally just thought it was a pimple until it inevitable didn’t go away I’ve had for about 8 months. Doctor told me I’m good. Even got tested and obviously clean. Would this deter a potential partner. Should I even say anything before considering they look like just ingrown hairs or something of the sort. Looking to hear from people with experience or women, if this was something a potential hookup had, how would it like to be communicated to you?

Oral sex my bf really likes when i give him head, and i like doing it but i feel so insecure about his positive feedback because im new to them

i’m 23 and so is my bf, but he has more sexual experience than me, not like a super high body count but i’m a virgin so more than me still. i’ve only given him a blowjob twice and he says he really likes it but i guess i get insecure because im new to it like is he being honest?

the first time we were in the cinema (nobody else was there) and i was doing it for 30 mins but because it was the first time i got very sore and didn’t really know what i was doing entirely and he didn’t come. i think also he didn’t because the way i was positioned, there just wasn’t a lot of space and maybe we wouldve made a mess if he came if i didn’t swallow it properly yknow. i got his dick so wet though with my saliva then just naturally and he really liked that. and he seemed to really like it regardless of coming like he told me he enjoyed it a lot.

anyways the second time was in his car and we also didn’t have a lot of room but i was able to make him come this time. i searched up some more tutorials on it, like what to do if you’re jaw gets sore and i realized i could rub his dick against my face when i’m taking a break etc. and i also just tried to make more noise like moan myself because i was really turned on and i also tried to make more noise sucking it. i focused more on the tip as well instead of just like taking it fully. and i was trying to be more enthusiastic like the entire week i was telling him about how i wanted to suck him again. but in the moment i got kind of shy so it was hard to do that confidently then but i tried to say dirty talk when i could.

he really liked the second time more i think since he did come, but i think he was also more relaxed since we had more room than before and i could swallow it this time. and he said im really good at it and like even the first time i did it, he said he was surprised it was my first time. idk if hes just saying this to boost my ego though but i guess i just feel insecure like am i really even good at it? i’ve been trying my best and trying to learn but i cant like deep throat it or things like that yet for example, hes really big and i have a small mouth so i can only take so much.

he said too that he wished i wasnt so good at them because now he wants them from me more. guys idk is it possible to be good at head without a lot of experience still 😓. it makes me feel good to hear this of course but i wonder if im really doing things right or if hes just saying all this?

Oral sex Ticklish bj

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 3 years, before him i wasn’t experienced in giving head/bj/oral sex whatever you prefer to call it. He’s also very big in size. My problem is sometimes when i give him head he tells me to stop or slow down because it ends up being too ticklish. He doesn’t explain anything else if it’s the shaft or tip or what to do to even be better. Overall he claims I’m good in giving head but just those moments when he says it’s too ticklish i get very insecure & think it’s me which honestly it is if he thinks so or not. Any advice?

Beginner Is it normal to be uninterested and kind of freaked out at the idea of sex?

I’m 21M and a virgin. I like the idea of the closeness with someone that comes with sex, but the idea of actually participating in it seems really uncomfortable and honestly kind of disgusting.

I don’t think I’m asexual, but sex isn’t something really on my radar. It’s like, I want it on the table as a possibility, but I don’t really feel much of a want or a need to indulge in it.

And like what do you even do afterwards? Like you go from such a personal moment to just being normal again? How do you bridge that moment?

Orgasm Issues Sexually frustration from lack of “good” orgasm

So I (29F) and my partner (36F) have been trying to navigate helping me with my orgasm issue. I’m sure it’s related to stress or maybe it could be that while my partner and I are both switches, we both heavily lean to the submissive side, and I tend to have my better orgasms while submitting, I think? I’ve tried setting the mood by myself and taking my time but I just can’t get much more than a light clitoral orgasm and I’m sexually frustrated to tears at times. It doesn’t help that my partner is so sensitive that she cums multiple times a session. We’ve talked and are trying to explore but I would love advice!

Inspiration and Ideas How to “woo” men?

Hi all,

I’ve never posted here before but i’m too embarrassed to have this discussion with anyone in person. My sex drive is incredibly high in comparison to my partners (this has been the case in EVERY relationship). My partner is also very “vanilla” and can be a bit reluctant to try new things.

Basically my question is, is there anything I can do to “woo” him, make things better, or spice things up (gradually).

Libido and Stamina I 27F libido skyrocketed after losing my virginity but my partner’s 30M has plummeted

Before losing my virginity, I could go on for a long time without any sexual simulation. I believe there was a whole year I didn't touch myself at all. Before meeting my partner, I couldn't bother to do it to myself and I never had that urge to do it. Probably because I got used to not doing it at all.

When I had a partner and I lost my virginity, I always look for it with my partner. I can't watch porn, it felt like cheating. I don't like touching myself either because it feels better for me for someone else to do it to me.

I noticed my partner no longer wants to do it after we had a close break up. Now we are stronger and he treats me so well. Dates and all. But the sexual part seemed to have vanished. No more making out in empty elevators. No making out in the car. No sex or make out unless I initiate. When he kisses me, it's like when you kiss someone but you don't want to so you tighten your lips.

Has he lost sexual attraction to me? What does he gain from treating me well if so? If you're a guy in 30s, have you experienced this and what was your perspective on treating her right but not being sexually attracted to her? What do you do to fix this if I’ve already communicated it and also initiated a lot?

His answer when I bring it up is he wants to do it but when he’s stressed he’s not in the mood and I have to initiate. So, what? He’s stressed for 2+ months straight…

For context I play sports and go to the gym, my face is the reason he liked me in the first place.

Anatomy Sex, period stopped, not pregnant but...

A boy and girl, both virgins, have sex. Her normal periods stop but she's not pregnant. They break up and her periods start again. She gets with several other boys and still has her periods. Then she goes back to her first, sex once, and her periods stop again. More on this one to follow.

The boys second partner, older, has had three children and a normal period for years. Her ex fixed her so she couldn't have any more children. Yet, once with this boy and her periods stop, making her think she's pregnant. Whole doctor thing and she's not and can't get pregnant. She's cheating on him, with several men, but when she gets with his friend, her daughter informs the boy and they break up. A month later her periods start again.

Next partner, also older, lots of on time periods, and she stops after sex the first time. For the two years they are together, she has no period. She moves and they break up. She starts again. They happen to run into each other, hook up once, and she stops again. They last about three months, have a falling out where she confesses to being with several men while they were "seeing each other."

Next to last partner, more of a friends with benefits. Same deal. She was fine from her teens until they met. She was married, had two kids, and was fine. The first time they had sex, she thought she was pregnant. She wasn't. Started using a diaphragm, but still didn't have a period. Since they were friends, they were still talking when they met the people they would marry. A month or so after they stopped having sex, her period returned. When she was with her future husband, it remained.

By now, this is known. He had sex with his future wife and... After two years of not having a period, she went to a doctor to check. He put her on birth control pills and they returned. A year later, she was diagnosed with cancer and died the following year.

Now, his first girlfriend reenters his life, after a VERY full life. She just comes straight out and asks him what goes on. He has no idea. All that is known is listed here.

Does anyone have any idea why this happened or what caused it? Medically, he's fine. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Nothing stands out, like size or shape. It's just strange that all of these women would have the same symptoms and NOT be pregnant, not that they really complained about not having a period.

Positions My (32m) gf (33f) wants to be more dominant but might need a new position.

So my gf wants to be more dominant but not in a Dominatrix kinda way. More of in a push me on the bed and f**k me kinda way without pain or anything. We love cowgirl obviously but tried a new position one time that I could tell she absolutely loved. I don’t know what it’s called though exactly. I want to say the Amazon position if I had to guess. She was bouncing on me in a squat position. I could tell she really enjoyed it but it came with a really big problem: she almost broke my d**k. No joke and I’m average size. We had to stop doing that one. Apparently that’s a thing that can happen. I’m a solutions person though. I think her loving it had something to do with the angle I was at and the fact that she had so much control. So, are there any positions outside of Cowgirl, or ones similar to the one described above that could give her that dominant feeling she really wants? I should also mention we have a hight difference. I’m 5’8 and she is 5 foot.

Erection Issue I can’t feel sexual attraction anymore

Awhile ago I realized I couldn’t get erections anymore and i still am not sure why, but along with that came me no longer feeling any sexual attraction to anything. I look at porn and I feel nothing, I look at nudes people send me and I feel nothing. It didn’t use to be like this. so I started looking at the medications I was taking, and I realized the one I was taking propranolol actually suppresses your sexual urges and your erections, so I stopped taking it against the will of my doctor, and nothing changed. I’m not sure what’s going on. Maybe it’s tied to my mental health cuz I’ve been stressed a lot and I haven’t been leaving my house, but stress never affected my sexual attraction like this before. any ideas is appreciated!

Beginner (M) I wasn’t able to orgasm during my first time

Hey guys! I am a straight male, and I just lost my virginity with a girl. She is extremely attractive and nice, and I want to preface this by saying I am EXTREMELY awkward and get nervous INSTANTLY.

Some info:
I was SAd by a girl who was around the age that I am now (18) when I was a smaller boy.
I take antidepressants but they haven’t had any noticeable side effects
I get extremely shy
Normally, during masturbation, I have no problem getting hard/reaching climax.
I am a healthy guy, muscular not overweight etc, and I do take prescription meds, however they have never had noticeable side effects.
I am also circumcised.
Also, I masturbated prior to the sexual encounter so that I would last longer.

When we had sex, I made her finish multiple times and she kept trying to make me continue more and more, and kept asking if I was close (she wanted me to pull out and finish on her).
I focused only on her pleasure, as I wanted her to be happy.
Eventually she grew frustrated and a little sad that I didn’t finish.
Im not saying my penis was “numb” perse, but I wasn’t getting as much physical satisfaction as masturbation.
I kind of gave up and made her finish again, and then we cuddled and talked and she wanted to try again so we did, and I faked an orgasm.
She said she had a great time and she’s planning to come over again today, but I just feel so wrong for not being able to orgasm.
Once again, I’m extremely attracted to her and I had an incredible time having sex with her, emotions were there and everything, but I just physically wasn’t stimulated.

I guess I kind of just needed to talk about it. I’m embarrassed, and I feel like I’m a jerk for not being able to orgasm for her. Should I try taking supplements? Is it just a confidence thing?
Thanks.

Orgasm Issues He can't cum, am I doing things right? He's a submissive/switch, I'm a dom/switch

Hey! So we're both on antidepressants and we're both new to sex (we are each other's firsts) which could be a contributing factor. We're both very into each other however and in love.

I'll get into a lot of detail below, just so I can show what advice we've used and how we're doing things right now.

We still had a lot of fun, from what I could tell. There was lots of communication to do what felt best, questions like "higher or lower?" "Up and down or circles?" "Harder or lighter?" Things like that to make things feel as good as they could. He was very loud. It did sound and look genuine since it was accompanied by body reactions, like there was also times he couldn't stop spasming/shaking and his cock would twitch.

He is submissive. I tied him up to his request, used a vibrator at some points, dirty talked the way he likes it, we took turns topping, etc. Reverse cowgirl, cowgirl, missionary, doggystyle, but still nada. I scratched and spanked him (he likes a little pain) and though it made him more verbal, still nada. We were at it for hours.

He said he had an amazing time, it was very hot, it was great, etc. But I'm just a little insecure considering I didn't get him to cum.

He likes the area behind his balls massaged and sometimes likes his balls squeezed as I ride him. We haven't tried prostate play, which I heard can help men who have trouble releasing. He is interested in trying this someday when he's ready, but until then, is there anything else I could try?

When I was riding him, I made sure to ask which methods of moving felt best for him and moved that way until I got too tired. He had his eyes closed and couldn't be quiet, but a part of me wonders if I wasn't riding him right. I usually rolled my hips in different ways, it was more risky to go in and out too much because he kept slipping out. Sometimes I'd lean down and kiss him or suck his neck or nipples. He said it felt amazing and couldn't keep quiet

When he was on top with missionary we tried a lot of different thrusting methods. Sometimes he'd go in all the way and go out all the way(not as much trouble slipping out in this position), rotate his hips in small movements, try different angles etc. He said that he was close for a long while, but he couldn't quite get there. Dirty talking the way he likes helped a little.

We also put pillows underneath our butts to help the angle.

We had plenty of lube, but we didn't use anything like viagra. I was also able to get him hard quickly every time he got soft. We took turns between heating lube and oil.

He does say he likes me being spontaneous and surprising him. Maybe I'm not creative enough and I can't think of more ways to be spontaneous. Is there any more ways I could surprise him? I'll do things like kiss, scratch, target his sensitive spots, bite, VERY lightly choke (ask him the right pressure), spank, etc.

Tools I have

Belts, rope, heating lube, coconut oil, avocado oil, dildos(to get him hard after he got soft, I had him use one on me), rose toy(he LOVES the rose toy used on his tip and behind his balls), electric toothbrush, butt plug. He likes bdsm

In case this helps, his most sensitive spots, from what I've noticed: balls, cock tip, behind the balls, ass(playing around the rim, not inside), neck, nipple, tongue

I give him permission to feel me however he likes while we have sex. Sometimes I put his hand on my chest or ass to encourage him.

Also we don't use a condom. We don't need to, since we're both heavy introverts who don't get around. I have no doubts we're the only ones we're fucking, he's a shy person and it takes a lot getting him out of his shell. Same for me.

Orgasm Issues I can’t make my gf have an orgasm.

I (20M) can’t really get my girlfriend (20F) to have an orgasm. We’ve been having sex for about a year now and I cant seem to make her cum. For background, she claims nobody has made her climax and I believe she’s been with 2 other partners before me and I do think she’s telling the truth. I don’t really know what to try anymore, i’ve tried longer sex for an hour, trying every position, lots of foreplay, toys, and obviously i’m not like a sex demon but obv I know where a g spot and and clit is lol. Do you guys think it’s a mental thing for her or like a me issue? I promise i’m not rushing into the sex and stuff either i’m like actively trying in the bedroom and outside the bedroom too.
