Hi everyone! I’m thinking about buying a PS5 but I’m struggling to figure out how I’d actually set it up.

My house is pretty small and I don’t have enough space to set up a gaming desk or a traditional gaming area. I pretty much do all my gaming in bed and that’s honestly how I prefer it anyway. I don’t have a TV to use either.

I’m not interested in the PlayStation Portal because I don’t want to rely on streaming or deal with latency. I’d rather have my PS5 connected directly to a screen.

I’m just worried about spending all this money and then realizing my setup is uncomfortable or inconvenient.

Does anyone here have a PS5 setup specifically for playing in bed, especially in a small room with no desk? How do you position your monitor where do you keep the console, and is it actually comfortable for longer gaming sessions?

I’d really appreciate pictures of your setups or recommendations! I’m trying to figure out whether this is realistic before buying everything.

I live in latvia and you cant choose it, what region should i choose so everything is okay? I made an account with ireland it wouldnt let me buy games. And can i make account on phone so i can later log on it in ps5? Because i just want to get ufc6 on discount

Hi guys. Just need to understand something about the different versions. In my country they only sell playstation 5 slim 825gb. There is no 1TB version sold here but I see online that there actually is one. I dont mind the 825gb storage. What I do mind is that the 5 slim I am buying is the new model and not the old fat model. So my question is... Is there a slim model with 825gb and one with 1TB? Are both of them new or one is older?

Whenever I’m on YouTube, my PS5 is recommended to other people who are also on YouTube, in my home.

So if I’m ever up late watching YouTube, people can see my console is on, my friend sent me this photo, as an example.

Is there anyway to stop this? Sorry if this is a dumb question, or considered spam.

This is the 2nd time my account has been stolen. First time I had 2FA and when I got it back i switched it to passkey. I woke up this morning to a bunch of emails and saw my email id was changed. And I can’t sign in. How is this company falling apart so bad? Even with security my account is gone with all the money I spent. What’s the best way to go about this? I know I’ve contacted support in the past but it took me a year to get my account back last time with them.

UPDATE: called a million times today and gave all the info I could and still get the same response. “Due to security reasons we cannot help you”

With this generation of consoles coming to an end I figured id get a used ps5 to have alongside my series x before everything goes probably digial for the next Gen. I figured the ones who wanted a PS5 would've already owned one by now considering the systems been out for around 6 years now but it feels impossible to snag one at a good price. I don't even bother with the pro model cause the price of those are crazy enough but even to get a slim model at a good price is getting hard. Looking at marketplace and pawn shops on a regular the moment one drops at a good price its gone within the next hour

So 3 years ago when I got a ps5 my dumbass tried to add all the ps plus games to my library thinking I’ll own them permanently. How to I remove them. I currently have 612 games in my library 🤦🏻‍♂️.

So I’ve been recently getting heavily into Green Lantern and dug through my stuff to find a copy of Lego Batman 3 for the PS4. The game is heavily Green Lantern focused and I figured it’d be fun to play for the first time in years. Only for when I found the disc it was heavily scratched and damaged. When I insert it into my PS5 it says the disc is unreadable. Is this possible to fix or should I just buy a new copy altogether?

So I’ve noticed this quite a bit I’ve set all my capture settings to high quality and I upload them to YT unlisted and they come out pretty much perfect but when I pull them from YouTube onto my phone the quality takes a huge dip like look at this it’s not hard to notice when you look at the name in the bottom left

I had a lot of fun with it, I remember it being a big deal as a PS5 launch-esque title and then it quickly went unheard of and forgotten.

Im trying to gameshare with someone and we successfully got my games on their PS5 but now my second account on my own PS5 can’t play the games does anyone know how you fix this because I just can’t seem to figure it out.

Is anyone experiencing any technical difficulties with their PS App or Playstation in general right now? Recently I had taken a few screenshots and waited for them to upload in my captures since I have Auto Upload on. Had to manually upload them instead and whenever I attempt on doing something or simply attempting on turning off the Auto Upload and going back out: it gives me the 'Something went wrong.' error, but still works perfectly fine.

My wifi is perfectly fine as well, so..I don't know what's going on right now.

I am getting a divorce. It's mutual and we are staying friends.

I kept the PS5 because he would have an easier time getting another. He did however take his extra hard drive with most of his games.

We both have our own account.

He doesn't have his yet. And is playing off a friend's system that he lives with.

My question if I uninstall the games will it do anything to them when he gets a new system. Do I need to leave them on until he gets his new one.

I know I have low karma. I will keep up with this post.

I just really love how most of the PlayStation studio games have this chunky impactful hits in their combat system, it's really satisfying. Some people would argue it makes the combat slow but I prefer that over fast combat like DMC or final fantasy. Those games' combat feels like the weapon phases through enemies. Anyone else?

I haven’t really played console games since I got my computer in 2023, and before that I mainly played on a Switch. I also used to play a lot on my brother’s old PS4 and PS3 (before it bricked, rip). I’ve really been wanting to play some older games from ps3/ps4 era as well as some new ones that my laptop can’t handle. So, i’ve been wondering if I should save up to get a PS5? My dad has one in his office, but it’s his, I don’t really have a reason to use it, plus I kind of want my own. But overall, I want to know if investing in a PS5 is worth the money. What are your experiences with it?

The reason I say this is that if they have any ability to be jailbroken (which they will) but they must put massive efforts to stop this. The biggest reason is if they can get ahold of the rumored PS6/Xbox with a lot of memory and compute in a subsidized or close to it.... the entire LLM groups will pick them up to jailbreak and run models on them. It needs to be the top priority not to let them be jail broken to be used for anything but gaming.

The moment you can use them for more then gaming, the average gamer will never see the console. They will be bought en masse by non-gamers.

If we want to preserve the idea of a dedicated gaming console, jailbreaking is the worst thing that can happen.

Side note: I am not sure how Sony/Microsoft would feel because their console (if not subsidized, or even if) would just fly off the shelves.... but their big money maker the games themselves and the cut they get would not be.

Safe to say it will be an expensive month for me!

When my gf is playing games like hogwarts legacy or the last of us on her account the ps5 switched off after an hour or so, it doesn’t feel hot or anything but it will not switch back on unless I take the power cable out & put it back in, it happened a few months ago too then all of a sudden fixed itself for a month or two & now it’s back to doing the same thing, this has never happened when I play games on my profile & it also never happens to her when we play games like siege, is there a genuine fix or is the endgame for this PS5?
