This is one of those games you get lost in for hours. The art style is so beautiful and well done. Every place on the map feels so dreamy and majestic which makes me want to explore more and more without any need for fast travel.
Whether I'm doing the side quest or main story, it feels so engaging and immersive.
I started playing it last week and I'm 21 hours in.
So far I have done all of the available Tales of Tsushima , Mythic Tales and Liberation. Main story wise I just took back the Castle Kaneda (no spoilers please)
Jin is the best, he is a very well written character. He is so compassionate towards peasants and villagers and the way talks and provides them comfort with his soft words is just so nice to hear.
My current favorite characters are Yuna, Sensei Ishikawa, Lady Masako and of course Jin.
Lord Shimura is honorable and all but I need to spend some more time with him to like his character.
Planning to get the Plat, I won't look at guides until I get stuck somewhere but I'd appreciate any tips haha.

Gotta say after playing both back to back, Tsushima’s gameplay feels stiffer but more responsive and satisfying.
This outfit is by far my favorite in Tsushima, anyone else think Jin and some of the other characters like old Unc, have strangely large heads compared to their bodies?

I love the Fundoshi outfit in the game.
It is so goofy and funny

Do you guys know we can use wind chime 🎐 as poison after getting a certain charm. And it can become one of the best tool

When I first met you, you honestly weren't a challenge.
I heard people hyping you up that you were harder than Takezo.
That you were the hardest in the game!
it took me 30 minutes to beat you that first time around....
i barely struggled. i was left wanting....
where was that challenge i was promised by so many others???
Then it hit me.
Not only can I beat you, but I can beat you faster than anyone else.
I can give my self a challenge that normally you couldn't.
And it worked, I struggled!
Each minor mistake made me restart checkpoint, each time I got bad rng I lost half a second of time.
New strategies to try and do it faster meant changing my armor, my charms.
Finding which weapons to use.
from the musket, to the exploding arrows. To realizing I should wear the 2 faced mask...
So many things, Nobushige, I even had other beat you faster than me.
Until I perfected it. I cant beat you any faster. I cant!
So this is goodbye.
You were fun, I couldn't ask for a better dualing partner

Like how you can replay outposts, you should be able to replay missions. Like the assassin creed games. I would have so much fun killing the Khan on the boat again

This was so fucking devastating to watch and if you know Taka’s back story it’s even more saddening watching the most innocent character in the game pulling a foolish yet brave act of defiance and courage. Taka was never a coward

Hey everyone! I have a small channel on YouTube and I’m working on some ideas for my next few videos.
It occurred to me that I’ve never seen a video featuring the community‘s hot takes so I wanted to ask you guys about yours!
Just comment below. I‘ll wait a couple days and then pick the best ones for the video. They can be about Yotei or Tsushima or both!
Thanks!
PS: this is not a self promotion post and it does not go against the rules regarding self advertising on this subreddit as I have not provided any links to my channel. This post aims at community engagement and discussion.

I don’t know what it is about this game but SUCKER PUNCH made the perfect game where you can replay this game over and over again and it feels like a brand new experience. Does anyone have else think that? I can play this games story 100 times and it will still feel like a brand new experience.

Anybody down to play raid chapter 2? I heard it’s impossible without communication though

It started with Ghost of Tsushima. I got completely lost in that world and wanted more. That led me to The Last Samurai, then to Kurosawa, one film after another, until I decided to make my own samurai short.
It was really hard to finish alone, and at times I almost stopped. Then playing Ghost of Yōtei brought that flame back, and I finally got it done.
Life In Every Breath is a 3-minute animated short about a samurai who survives every war, only to come home to nothing left. Made completely solo, with Japanese narration and English subtitles.
Would love to hear what fellow Ghost fans think.

Hey everyone!
I'm having an issue with the Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I've activated the quest and I went to the location, spoke to the musician, watched the cutscene, and the quest updated, telling me to locate the five Straw Hat assassins in Toyotama.
The problem is that none of the duels or locations are marked on my map. I've checked the map several times, but there are no quest markers or indications of where to go next.
I've tried following a guide and going to the locations manually, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if the quest is bugged.
Am I supposed to do something else to make the locations appear? Do I need to discover them myself, or is there a way to track them?
Has anyone run into this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Doing my first run so I'm still getting the hang of how charms actually work. A set up like this means the charm of versatile skills doubles the effect of the charm of fortune giving me a 100% chance of the two charms of dual destruction to activate?
Edit: I probably didn't explain myself properly. I meant to ask if the charm of versatile skills doubles the effect of the charm of fortune being the only one of its category, giving me a 100% chance of the two dual destruction charms activating.

Ive been trying to do some fun little challenge runs for content and I wanted to do one where you have to be constantly drunk. But for some reason the Mercenary Armor's guaranteed sake trait doesn't work on replays. Is the trait only for active camps?

Probably should've shown it at the end but this is a lethal run. Broken armour, No Charms, Sword Level Two and also on Expert Mode(if this is important)
Tips to improve gameplay are greatly appreciated

I vastly preferred Tsushima’s system, every group of mongols you killed actually had an impact not only did you gain skill points but it increased your legend, every kill furthered your turn into the mongol boogeyman. In ghost of yotei killing groups of patrolling enemies doesn’t gain you skill points, it doesn’t increase your legend, it just gets you some crafting supplies for upgrading
(which was also the case in Tsushima)
Tsushima’s system just worked better felt better, made sense, and it tied into the overarching plot, every fight made you stronger, every fight nudged you down your path until you eventually become the ghost, combat and Jin’s transformation were directly linked . Yoteis leveling on the other hand is completely divorced from combat you just mark a spot on your map go there and just bow at a shrine that somehow endows you with combat abilities
I don’t think yotei is a bad game whatsoever but it’s leveling felt like such a massive step back from Tsushima, it’s really unfortunate because yotei (imo) vastly improved the combat system but for some reason also took away one of the biggest reasons for engaging with it.
What’s your take?

Spoiler
Playing Tsushima for the first time. Every time I rode my Sora for a quick quest and Jin said, “Someday, we’ll go for a peaceful ride,” I made a mental note to keep that promise once I finished the main story.
But man, the end of Act 2 hit me like a bag of bricks. 💔 Couldn't proceed to Act 3 yet.
Godspeed Sora, I mis-calculated our time together.
