Technical/Bug/Glitch TLOU2 Remastered bug/glitch unofficial report thread
Unfortunately, the TLOU2 remaster seems to have introduced quite a few bugs that were not present in the original release. This is fine, since some things are always missed, but I thought I'd make a thread for people to post any of the bugs they've run into in game to hopefully increase the chances that Naughty Dog will learn of these issues and patch them. So far, I have experienced or seen people mention the following:
- In No Return mode, some characters are unable to change their weapon skins for some reason. If you try to select any of the different weapon skins, the game will make the "locked" noise and you'll be stuck on whatever skin you had equipped at the time of the glitch occurring. I've personally seen this with Jesse, Yara, and Mel so far, but it may happen with other characters too.
- Enemy dialogue that would play at the start of and during Abby's brewery encounter on day 3 no longer triggers. The WLF soldiers would call out Abby for betraying them and talk about Owen doing the same briefly, but now none of the enemy dialogue throughout this encounter triggers at all. (I'm also wondering if there's any other missing/broken dialogue).
- Ellie's "Boston" skin from promotional material seems to be missing from the game entirely. It's unable to be seen or selected in any of the menus. While it's possible this was cut prior to release, it would be very strange since the skin looked finished and was very recently seen in the marketing prior to release. Additionally, Abby's Santa Barbra skin does not use the correct backpack model despite the menu indicating that it should.
- Skins seem to not be applying for multiple users correctly in story mode.
- The main menu won't change back to the original boat in the water look after starting a new game.
- I've not experienced this myself, but No Return seems to cause major frame drops for many players. Personally, I'm really curious what's causing this as it only seems to affect some people.
- Some users report being unable to escape from grapples despite mashing the square button as prompted by the game.
If you know of any other bugs, please feel free to list them here! I'm not sure if Naughty Dog often responds to support requests, but you could still try filling out one here. Most of these bugs aren't game breaking, but hopefully Naughty Dog still learns of them and takes the time to fix them as some of these are pretty unfortunate.

General Discussion How come infected don't alert eachother?
Purely a lore question. In the games it could just be game design and/or engine limitations etc, there aren't plenty of scenarios where one would already be alerted while another wouldn't be.
I understand the explanation in that they don't want to bite or attack eachother (althought it can happen accident e.g. you lure them into it), because they sense via smell (or sight) that they are already infected etc. But that doesn't mean they sense it from a mile away. A bottle or a brick can alert them, yet they may not sense what it is. A human running would alert them. So would a clicker technically get alerted by another infected running somewhere? At least for a moment before moving on. A runner and stalker could see, but a clicker would have to inspect the area, and from a further distance they can't smell it.
So in a realistic scenario, from a longer distance, would a runner incorrectly alert a clicker? I know in many scenarios the infected don't really need to run unless they are chasing something, so an infected running may just merely alert another infected to chase after it too. But still, would them confusing each other happen more often than we think?

General Question Games like TLOU before TLOU
I keep seeing videos about people saying how The Last of Us basically spawned a whole new genre of mostly linear story driven games with a focus on production over gameplay, which kinda made me curious about whether games like this existed before it or not.
I wasn't really into gaming before 2013 so If anyone has examples pls lmk.
*Forgot to mention apart from the Uncharteds obviously.

PT 1 DISCUSSION David
Me, playing the last of us for the first time in the winter section:
“I like this David guy, he’s helping me kill these clickers and runners and OH MY GOD IS THAT A BLOATER?!?!”
Me, ten minutes later:
“Ok, well he is technically one of the bad guys but he gave me antibiotics for Joel so he’s chill I guess.”
Me, 25 minutes later:
“DAVID YOU MOTHERFUCKER GET BACK HERE SO I CAN STAB YOU!”
Again, it’s my first time playing, no spoilers please, I literally got to the point of Ellie killing David and Joel comforting her after (his ‘babygirl’ absolutely killed me).

PT 2 FANART Clicker sketch art Spoiler
galleryMaterials include: colored chromaflow pencils, faber castell black edition pencils, ohuhu alchohol marker (for the background since i didn't have yellow paper) and obviously an eraser and basic wood pencil.
I made this the other day as im trying to get into colored pencils, and this is one of my first attempts at using color theory in a drawing. Thought i'd post it here since it's a classic clicker.
Let me know what you think and if you have any advice i'd love to hear it!

PT 2 DISCUSSION Mel’s hypocrisy: Spoiler
I enjoyed the game very much. I think the criticisms when it came out about the gay characters, Joel dying, and Abby being ripped was kind of silly and it didn’t bother me. I rarely play games that make other games I play afterwards feel boring and uninspired, and this was one of them.
But here’s something that made me roll my eyes and chuckle while playing:
- Why did Mel, a very pregnant woman, keep going out on convoys and try to find Owen when there was an obvious and certain threat of Seraphites and infected? Getting grazed in the shoulder from the Scar ambush (that nearly killed Abby’s whole party btw) should have been a double-wide sized wake up call. I wasn’t even as shocked as the developers wanted me to be when they revealed she was pregnant when Elle killed her. That’s not on me man, that was your choice.
There are THOUSANDS of capable men and women in the stadium that could have swapped her out until she gave birth. Even after that, she should have still been safeguarded in the stadium, being a mother of a newborn baby.
I get that she’s “part of Abby’s group”, but calling Abby an asshole for what she did was pretty hypocritical.
That’s one of a few minor things that sort of made me roll my eyes.
I wouldn’t be on this subreddit if I didn’t at least like the game lol.

HBO Show Who would have you cast as Ellie? (HBO)
I dont have an issue with Bella shes a great actress but i do feel there are others out there that fit the bill a little better. I personally would have totally brought the idea of Reagan Revord to play ellie
She's spunky and funny and in the perfect age range for pt1 and pt2 ellie had she been originally cast
And tom hardy as joel lmao
But I like pedros rendition too
