wet socks should I be only mildly infuriated or extremely?
I’m currently on a work trip and decided to check out this viral spot famous for those hyper realistic fruit shaped cakes. The shop looked absolutely gorgeous inside! In hindsight, the biggest red flag should have been that the cakes were just sitting out on a decorative turntable instead of being refrigerated especially since the one I ordered had a mousse and brownie filling. Keep in mind I literally paid $16 for this...
I brought it back to my hotel, got settled in, and went in for my first bite. The moment I got close, a puff of mold spores literally popped right into my face. I looked down, saw weird spots, and decided to crack it open. To my absolute horror, it was a full blown biology experiment on the inside.
I called the owner and left a voicemail. He called me back within five minutes, profusely apologizing and promising it would be handled immediately. But then he threw me off by saying I could have done anything else instead of coming straight to him, which honestly made it feel like this has happened before.
I took my refund, but looking at how deep and widespread the growth is, there is zero chance this accumulated in just a day or two. Definitely debating whether I need to loop in the health department at this point.
edit: The owner was grateful I called him. "I'm glad you called me, you could've gone anywhere with this is and I appreciate you allowing me to fix it. This will be handled appropriately"

Wholesome Moments For Boys Rescued a 4 Year Old Girl from Drowning And Her Parents Who Owned a Restaurant Granted Them Free Meals For Life
Four boys were enjoying a day at the creek when a little girl suddenly disappeared beneath the water. What happened next turned them into real-life heroes.
On May 17, 2020, at Hubble Creek in Jackson, Missouri, a young girl named Kinsley Stuart was swept into a dangerous current beneath a low-water bridge.
Eleven-year-old Aiden Kyle noticed her hand above the water and immediately rushed to help. But the current was too powerful for him to pull her free alone.
His friends Isaiah Randol, Elias Kyle, and Alex Niedbalski joined the rescue. Together, the four boys fought against the rushing water until they managed to bring Kinsley to safety.
She was taken to the hospital for an examination and was later released.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Kinsley’s mother, Casey Stuart, decided to thank the boys in a way they would never forget. Her family owned a restaurant called Kenny’s Flippin’ Burgers, and she promised all four boys free meals for the rest of their lives.
But the most powerful part of this heartwarming rescue story wasn’t the reward. It was four young people choosing to help someone in danger, proving that courage and compassion have no age limit.
Years later, this incredible act of kindness remains a must-see reminder that everyday heroes can make an extraordinary difference

Certified 🟠range™ They Called Me “Not a Nice Cat.” You Made Me Your Pooh Bear. 🐻🧡📍Charlotte,NC,USA
Hi, Pooh family! 🧡🐻
I asked my assistant to post some good videos of me. You deserve to see this much cuteness in motion. 🤭
For my new Pooh fans, here’s my story…
I was abandoned in a hotel room with a bleeding paw. I ended up in a shelter, where I spent a few days waiting for someone to notice me.
My assistant came to rescue a black kitty, but another rescue had picked her up just minutes earlier. Then the shelter staff mentioned me: an orange, “aggressive” kitty who would be euthanized the next morning.
“But I checked the list. He wasn’t on it,” she said.
“We’re going to add him.”
And just like that, I had one evening to find someone who would choose me. 💔
My assistant already had several cats with medical needs. She wasn’t planning to bring home another one.
But she chose me.
At home, we were both a little scared of each other. Everything was new to me, and apparently she had never seen such a huge cat.
Excuse me, ma’am. I’m a family pack. 😤🧡
The next day, we had our first proper meeting. She sat quietly on the bed while I watched from the window. I decided to make the first move.
“Hi.”
“Hi, how are you?” she said.
I came closer for a few gentle pets… and within 15 minutes, I was her baby. 🥹
The lady at the front desk told my assistant, “He’s not a nice cat. He’s aggressive. If you ever bring him back, we’ll euthanize him immediately.”
My assistant brought me home anyway. And within 15 minutes of our first proper meeting, that “not nice” cat was purring and asking for more pets. Turns out, I had a whole lot of love waiting for someone who would give me a chance. 🧡
Then she shared my pictures here, you started calling me Pooh Bear, and now I’m YOUR Pooh Bear.
I recently had entropion surgery because my eyelids were turning inward, making my eyes painful and cloudy and affecting my vision. My eyelashes were rubbing against my corneas. But I kept being a sweet boy, even when I was hurting.
I’m still healing, and I might need another surgery, so I’m not officially available for adoption yet. My assistant also thinks I might not hear properly.
Maybe I’m just ignoring her. A gentleman needs some privacy. 🤭
Many of you have kindly asked how to help with my treatment. My medical expenses are covered right now, so we don’t need monetary donations for my care. Thank you for caring about me so much. 🧡
If you’d still like to send me something, I happily accept food and toys. Being a family pack comes with a family-sized appetite. 😋 And your love and good wishes are always welcome.
Sending every one of you a big, soft Pooh hug. Thank you for choosing to love me, too. 🐻🧡

No Advice - Everyones Welcome My wife doesn't come to a ton of my basketball games. She was there tonight and I KILLED!
I play in a league that has a bunch of ex G leaguers, ex college players, etc. Basically, everyone in the league is the best player in 99% of all pickup games at the gym/park.
My entire life has been basketball. My profession is, you guessed it, basketball. I'm a trainer, I work with players in the G league, college, WNBA, etc. I'm not the best player of all time by any measure, I never even made it to the NBA myself, but I've managed to do what I love for a living, which is awesome.
My wife is usually busy with her family, and because ball it literally life for me - I don't mind that she doesn't make it to the games often.
But, she showed up to her first game in 2 months tonight, and I put on a fucking SHOW, boys.
31 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 steals, 5 dunks, at the ripe old age of 38. I shook one guy straight out of his shoe. I was the fucking man tonight, and it feels pretty fucking great.
It's honestly so cool to show my wife some flashes of my prime. I'm so getting laid tonight.
Dinner is roasted barbecue chicken thighs, and some veggies. I will be eating this entire tray.
