He's trying to give Putin as much as possible before he loses the midterms. He's also having fire sales for oligarchs to get money out of the USA. Cash in Trump's pocket for all the favors. It's the most corrupt POTUS doing what they do when they feel like they can't use all the levers of power in the Federal government to steal an election they'd lose in a free and fair election. So, the fact that somewhere deep down, he and his team aren't sure if they'll be able to end self representational democracy is about the only positive we've got right now.

I think Putin realizes his dumbest puppet is about to become a lame and powerless president in a few weeks. He’s putting him to work before it’s too late.
•
u/citymousecountyhouse 3h ago
We all know that Putin has been in possession of the Epstein files since the Florida deputy fled to Russia after the first raid on Epstein's home. I wonder if when Trump becomes as worthless to Russia as he is to the American people if Putin will release the files as a final humiliation, both to Trump and the United States.
•
•
u/tirch 2h ago
I doubt it. Dividing and diminishing the USA is the point of all of this. He's gotten Trump to pull the USA out of the western alliance as the leader of the free world and he's used Trump to make the USA lean heavily into becoming a third world nation. Trump assisting Russia when they were one click away from losing in Ukraine is just icing on the cake. Once Republicans in Congress proved themselves to be total bootlicking cowards who showed us there's nothing Trump could do that they'd stand up for our country against, Putin knew he'd won. Releasing the Trump part of the Epstein files would maybe end Trump, but in our current environment probably not. Russia is still weak, but China is loving this.
•
u/Cell1pad 2h ago
I think that at this point we can all be sure that the old “Russian pee tapes” that we all heard about were more likely Russian P. tapes. And they had nothing to do with urine.

Interesting point. Didn't even think of it!
Almost like a 180-degree-Biden, where in his last month he was trying his best to help Ukraine as much as possible, turn it 180 degrees to Trump, and he knows he is about to be finished and is doing his best to help Russia.
I think we havent seen hell yet if American people dont end up voting.

If it's any indication, my wife and I voted early today in Ohio at the Cuyahoga county BOE and there was a 15 min line when we showed up that only got longer by the time we left. Poll workers said it's been like this every day since early voting started on 10/6.

If I'm not mistaken, congress already passed this bill (Graham Bill)...and it was already signed by this president. But now, he's refusing-to actually implement the sanctions.

It’s called a constitutional crisis but neither the courts nor Congress are willing to budge. People should be up in arms and out in the streets because a sitting president refuses to carry out the laws that he signed into law. Instead, most people either care very little or their lives are too comfortable to be willing to do anything to upset the status quo. People won’t act until it hurts them but I guess we’ve seen recently that they won’t even act then.
