ADVICE For the guys struggling to perform (and their partners): what worked for me

I see so many posts here about guys who suddenly can't perform during ovulation week. I'm one of them. First off, this is super common, even if you've never had ED before (like me). Also, if you haven't looked into at-home insemination yet, definitely consider it.

After months of anxiety and failing when it mattered, I finally went to a urologist. Literally the second I explained my "ED," he asked if we were trying for a baby. It immediately clicked for him and he said he sees this all the time.

He put me on 5mg of Tadalafil daily and it's been a game changer. I had some side effects the first 10 days while my body got used to it, but after that, it's been all positive. We just wrapped up another ovulation cycle and for the first time in months, I had zero issues. I was still super anxious the first few times because I was sure I'd fail again, but once I realized things were still working, my confidence came back and I could, uh, keep pushing through. It was amazing.

So if you're a guy going through this, or a woman whose partner is struggling, seriously go see a urologist and ask about Tadalafil. I hope it works for you as well as it's been working for me.

ADVICE Review or recommendations on prenatal vitamins

I’m on my TTC journey and my husband and I have been taking the Bird & Be power packs for 8 months now. It is a lot of pills to take a day but we have gotten used to them by now. Other than the steep price for these packs I don’t have any negative experiences with the brand. Since this journey is taking a bit longer than we expected, got pregnant 5 months after starting the prenatal, unfortunately had an early miscarriage. I am wondering if a more generic drug store prenatal that is more cost effective and work the same and have similar dosing of medication is worth switching for?

Has anyone been on Bird & Be and switched to another brand. or vise versa?

If you take a 1 pill a day prenatal, are you finding you need to buy other vitamins (CoQ10 or Omega) to ensure you get all your supplements?

ADVICE How to stay sane in second year of trying with no access to treatment

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since July 2025. We've had some basic checkups at the doctor's and everything looks good for me, we're still waiting on a semen analysis next month. If that looks good too (which the doctors are expecting), we will not be eligible for any treatment until after we've been trying on our own for two years.

This means from this point on we still have 10 cycles ahead of us of trying at home. This feels unfathomably long to me while our odds are quite low (the doctors estimated 5% chance per cycle, or roughly 50% chance of success before the end of the second year). Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to get treatment earlier as it's the insurance eligibility rules in our country.

We've been trying actively all of this time using OPKs, temping and observing cervical mucus. Part of this makes me feel good like we're really giving it our best shot. But it's also somewhat exhausting to know every month we've tried so hard just to still get my period. Would it be better to take more of NTNP approach and just hope for the best? I'm looking for advice for people who might've been in similar situation on what helped them stay sane in the long haul of trying naturally.

Anything (within the rules) goes. (Commonly broken rules: don't talk about an ongoing pregnancy outside the weekly BFP thread; don't ask for success stories.)

You can find the wiki here!

Don't forget to check out our themed threads:

There's also the Weekly Introductions and Read Me Thread, which contains links to all sorts of handy bits of info, like popular wiki posts and acronyms.

ADVICE Did I mess my cycles up with myo-inositol?

I have always had regular cycles (27-29 days), and I don’t think I have PCOS. Though I never really tracked my ovulation or BBT consistently til after my miscarriage to really know how long my phases are.

Post miscarriage I saw a lot of social media posts about 40:1 inositol and everyone speaking highly of it for egg quality, mood/PMS management, so in desperate times I bought a pack to try and get my cycles back. I did also read that inositol is better suited for PCOS though it doesn’t hurt to still take it if you don’t have PCOS, just may not be as beneficial.

I did noticed that the cycle right before I conceived was only 24 days long (looking back could have been a chemical pregnancy, but I also thought my periods are starting to feel a little weird JUST as we are ttc). So I bought a pack to hopefully get 1) my period after miscarriage and 2) try to get them back to normal asap. During my first full period, I did notice my LH surge stayed positive for longer, and period is taking a bit longer to show up. I do have an appointment with my OB next week and I’ll ask them too.

In the meantime, anyone have a similar experience? should I / is it worth for me to continue with inositol?

QUESTION Moving embryos internationally for surrogacy what was your experience?

Hi everyone❤️

We’re exploring our options for surrogacy abroad and one thing we’re trying to understand better is the process of transporting frozen embryos from one country to another.

For those of you who have gone through this how complicated was the process? Did you arrange everything through your current clinic your destination clinic or a specialized transport company?

We’re also wondering how clinics coordinate with each other during the transfer. Were there any specific requirements or complications that caught you off guard? And how did you make sure the embryos were handled safely throughout the journey?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences and any advice you can share ❤️
