OG KOTH Discussion What's your favorite King of the Hill quote?
Hank: "Excuse me, are y'all with the cult?"
Jane: "It's not a cult. It's an organization that promotes love and..."
Hank: "Yeah, this is it."
Or maybe
Cotton: "Peace? You would like that you draft dodger!"

OG KOTH Discussion Hank's behavior in Business is Picking up
I know there's countless posts lionizing or demonizing hank's behavior in various episodes but I think an episode that doesn't get talked about enough is "Business is Picking up"(S10E08). Hank looking down on the earth cleaners guy and feeling ashamed of Bobby going into that line of work is pretty rough considering propane sales isn't exactly a glamorous job. What sterling does is no different than waste management/sanitation and that's a vital job in society and it's a bummer that Hank looks down on people like that. Also story wise it was pretty heartbreaking and selfless for sterling to steer Bobby away from that line of work at the end for Bobby's sake. Do you guys agree or disagree? Fire off in the comments

I was just looking at some sheet music and lyrics and this cracked me right on up.

Revival Discussion We need a holiday episode, or two, for the revival
The holiday episodes, from Hank Hill dressing as The Devil being defiant of a local municipal ordinance, to being stuck at DFW Airport on the day before Thanksgiving (which, in Peggy's opinion, is the busiest travel day of the year), to the Y2K scare and Jimmy Carter, among others (I won't mention Miss Wakefield), "King of the Hill" has some of the best holiday episodes.
Missing in the revival is a holiday episode.
At the risk of pitching free ideas to the writers, what would be some ideas you would have for a holiday episode in the revival?

Revival Discussion Anyone else feel like 10 episodes just isn't enough for King of the Hill?
First off, Iβm really glad King of the Hill is back. Iβve always loved the show, and itβs been great seeing these characters again after so many years.
But one thing that really bothers me about the newer seasons is the 10-episode limit.
I get that shorter seasons are pretty much the norm for streaming services nowadays, but I honestly donβt think that format works very well for a show like King of the Hill.
Part of what made the original series so great was that it didnβt need some huge storyline to keep things interesting. Sometimes an entire episode could just be Hank getting worked up over something ridiculous, Dale coming up with another conspiracy, or Bill being his usual depressing self lol.
Those random, everyday stories were part of what made the show so enjoyable. And with 20 or so episodes per season, there was plenty of room for them. With only 10 episodes, it feels like the season is practically over just when youβre getting back into it.
Looking at how much the characters have aged between the original series and the revival really puts into perspective how much time has passed. After waiting all these years for the show to return, I guess I just wish we could spend a little more time in Arlen before having to wait for another season.
Anyway, thatβs just my two cents.
Anyone else feel the same way, or are you happy with the shorter seasons?

OG KOTH Discussion What's the most Hank Hill thing you do?
I, for example, will make a project out of putting together furniture, appliances, etc. I will read the instructions even if I already know how the thing will be built or set up, and I will attempt to save booklets or manuals in case they are needed, much to my wife's annoyance. She says I'm crazy to be doing this in this day and age because of the existence of the internet.

Dang ol' ππΌπ πΌππ man... Visiting my dad from out of state I thought I'd draw Hank for his garage walls.
He recently redid his garage and painted around my drawing I did back in the 2000s 'Homer'. Still doing some finishing touches but he loves it!
