Im checking fb today and found a listing with these games and one console with 4 controllers. I’m not particularly interested in the console nor the controllers but might get one extra. The listing as a whole is 670 dollars but I might get these games for 200. Just looking for some tips or a better price, thanks!

Bought it for $80 pretty clean confiton from an older gentleman says he had it in his closet for the longest. How much can i resell it for or should i keep my modded 2501 slim modded. I can mod this one as well ( opinion needed since i dont need two)

Hello all ! My boyfriend just bought a ps3 and has been seriously addicted to buying all the nostalgic games he wanted to play as a kid. Since Christmas is around the corner, I wanted to get him something really really special, but I just barely started gaming and I don’t really trust my own judgment ! I’ll attach a picture of the games he has already, so please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions!!!!

Edit// The picture above are all the games he has collected to far on his own, with the exception of Rapala Fishing, that one is mine😎

2nd Edit// HE FOUND THE THREAD. Yeah I should’ve known but I told him to stay OUT! Someone else even recognized his games in another post he posted in this sub!!!!!! Also thanks to everyone who commented! It genuinely helped so much #community is real and it exists in r/ps3❤️

Hi there! I recently reacquired my favorite console ever, the PS3 superslim even tho back then we had the slim, i just wanted to look again at that stylish realtime rendered wave on the XMB u know 🥺

But also wanted to play infamous, killzone, god of war and all the classics that are locked down on the PS3, plus some that i wanted to try but i don't want to buy on Steam to do it! I kinda want to try GTAV as i played it on the PS3 the first time back in 2013 just to relive the sensation and to compare it with the current graphics on PC...

So far I've been having so much fun! I tried GT5 just yesterday and its so freaking good, never played any GT til now... Also wanted to relive the PShome experience back in that day so i downloaded HHQ and it works but it is real empty XD

Anyway add me on PSN if you want or leave ur ID and i will add you! Thanks for reading me and have a nice one folks 🤠

Ever since I got my second backwards compatible PS3, I’ve been actively using it as my main console for PS2 games. Since it’s fully serviced and running custom firmware (Evilnat), it feels like the ultimate way to enjoy the classic library without juggling extra hardware.

I’m curious how many of you actually play through full PS2 titles on your BC models, or use them to store and manage your memory card saves? Or do most people just keep them as display piecess and stick to native PS2 hardware or emulation?

Would love to hear how you guys use yours in your current setup

I’ve had this for a while now, it still works but it has a few issues but not limited to

Bluetooth module being fucked over.

Getting it stuck in an update loop until I fix said Bluetooth module.

And no thermal paste whatsoever (I removed factory thermal paste but used up all my current thermal paste to run it for an hour, it’s TM30)

Basically it’s working but dead, I do love this PS3 to my heart very much, I want to keep it alive as long as humanly possible, and these are the only four games I have for it, except I used to have Sonic Sega all stars which is somehow missing, but I will get this damn PS3 to work, so I can platinum all of the games I currently have for it, and games so forth when I get them, and no I can not install CFW on it, it’s the last slim revision. Just wanted to show this thing and how it had some issues, and I hope to fix it. If there’s anything else I should do to it, please give me advice. (I do have an SSD for it)

Hello! After weeks of waiting I managed to get uncharted trilogy! I’m so excited since it’s my first time playing it! I know it’s one of the big games to get for the PS3
Any tips or advice before I start? Can be anything from my PS3 console to the games themselves
Thank you!

What do you think about this gmae

The Super Slim gets heavy slack for the design and sliding door but I never had any issues with it and I got mine back in 2013. I love this system and been playing it a lot more than my PS5 lately. Got a lot of platinums on the way. :)

Bonsoir à tous et à toutes, je cherche des gens motivés pour faire le secret de Shangri-la sur Black ops 1 ps3 avec moi s'il vous plaît

Got a ps3 slim 25xx from my uncle so I could maintain and play it but I found hot spots on the motherboard, should I worry about it or should I just put it back together?

This system has been through a lot while in my possession (2501A). Has fell from dressers atleast 2 times. Knock on wood she’s still kicking. Does the usual I don’t wanna read disc until you rub me the right way but eventually she does. Beast of a system. Super quite all original parts. Even opened her up and it had like 3 dust bunnies, fan has very light dust. Other than that super clean unit. Damm been missing out on using her for about 8 years. Here’s to another 20. Check out my stand for ventilation.

Edit : apologies on the post title it’s next month(not year)

Hey everyone, wanted to share a hobby project I’ve been working on.

It’s called Disc Collection. You take 2 photos of a game case and it builds a 3D version you can spin around, open up, and pull the disc out of. It’s also a simple collection tracker (ratings, hours played, wishlist, etc), but the 3D case is the fun part.

It only works if you own the physical copy, so it’s kind of my way of celebrating physical media.

There’s also a public gallery (my favorite part) where you can browse other people’s cases, and if you heart one it goes on your wishlist as a checklist, so you can use other collectors’ shelves to figure out what to hunt for next. It’s anonymous, no usernames or followers.

It’s free and I want to keep it that way, it’s just something I do for fun. No accounts, no ads.

Still pretty early, so if you have ideas or something feels off, there’s a contact option in settings. What’s the first PS3 game you’d put on your shelf?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/disc-collection/id6817679006

bought an online game on the store thinking "might as well get this before it closes" nope i guess not, yeah ive tried logging out of psn and logging back in, and deactivating the console then reactivating it. unmodded console nowhere online ive found an actual fix so im hoping someone here may know

I’ve been thinking about picking up the Saw games on PS3 and was wondering if they’re actually any good. I know they’re not exactly considered masterpieces

Saw (2009) and Saw II: Flesh & Blood

I can login fine with second account, but the password generator is not working for my main account.

Standard Email/password login page, when I type and hit sign in- it goes to the QR code page asking to generate new password. Screen/page goes back to standard login, but now I’m typing in the generated new password. (Second account it worked fine right here). Instead of logging in, it goes back to the QR code page and just cycles between the 2 pages.

I’ve even tried making a new user and “signing up using an existing account” but that didn’t work.

Sony support live agent wasn’t helpful at all.

Anyone experience this page cycle?

I think my only option forward is to try to save my game data and factory reset the ps3?

I love my ps3, so much i now got 3 of them! 😄And I was wondering:

What other than gaming still works?

I couldn’t get Plex up,and running, but Universal Media Server works fine. Does Spotify work? And maybe I’m doing something wrong with Plex? What about streaming? Netflix? Photo gallery? Something else I haven’t thought about? 🤔

I have folklore, 3d dot heroes, sly Cooper collection and 4, motorstorm apocalypse on the way. I know I want drakengard 3. What else would y'all recommend?

I have a fat cecha01 model that I think has a dead GPU. The light will turn on and stay green but I won’t get picture from either HDMI or AV, and the controllers won’t even sync.

I’m wondering if there’s anywhere I could I could send this in or ship to, in order to get it fixed and working again?

Also out of curiosity, if I did do this, how much would it cost me generally?

Yezer... Awesomeness!!!
