At the beginning of the episode they are all talking about how Greendale made them worse and Troy says "I'm much sadder than the rest of you... I'll figure out why later."

It was initially taken by me as a random funny Troy moment but I feel like it's also a meta joke from the writers about him being sad he's leaving the show later in the season.

Thoughts?

Currently on my eleventeenth rewatch from the very beginning, ironically playing this in a college (unfortunately I graduated from community college so this is my university). I owe Ludwig Göransson my life for making this song as cozy as possible as I truly felt like I belonged playing it.

Maybe common knowledge but on the deepest depths of a YouTube/Wikipedia rabbit hole, I found out that Matt Besser's (better known to us as Blake- a daddy who needed a bigger hand) on screen wife, Karen is also his real life wife!

Would the Russo Brothers want to return to comedy after Secret Wars? Maybe?

It would certainly make the Community: The Movie into a mainstream headline event.

And I could see them wanting to return to their roots after these major blockbuster movies.

What do you guys think? Am I predicting the obvious?

Is the question more: Why shouldn't the Russo Brothers direct the Community movie? It would be full circle.

Every time I rewatch this show, I am reminded that Community Season 2 is perhaps the greatest run of TV ever created.

On my nth rewatch and I am taking Ben Chang’s mental illness a lot more seriously 🥲 yes, it’s played for laughs and Ken Jeong is amazing at making such a crazy character so hilarious. But honestly, Chang was so lonely, and the effects of that loneliness were terribly destructive. In S1 we see the deep loneliness he felt bc of his divorce (when he starts hanging out with Jeff and joins Troy and Abed’s movie nights). In S2 he is explicit about wanting to join the study group and constantly feeling left behind, forgotten, alone (the pop and lock ep, that Gollum style monologue was telling too). By s3 People knew he was “married” to a mannequin leg and no one batted an eye! Later he becomes a dictator so he can be the centre of people’s attention. In s4 he completely invents a whole new identity where he is finally cared for; he finally chills out just through being acknowledged as having been integral to the group all along (Heroic origins ep).

There are so many more examples. Idk y’all, just a thought. I’ve always loved Chang, he is the toxic embodiment of my FOMO.

P.S. I think it resonates so well with the “theme” of this show: COMMUNITY. We need it, we crave it, we become better people with it. Other characters also felt the anxiety of being outsiders to the group (Pierce, Sherley, Jeff, the Dean) and as I look at my life in 2026 I think the world needs to be reminded of this message. Please guys make the movie 😭🤍🙏🏽

Every Halloween I tell myself I'll keep it simple, but somehow I always end up doing too much lol. Been rewatching Community and now I really want to dress up as Dean Pelton. I'm leaning toward the dualiDEAN Barbie outfit, but I'm open to other ideas.
Don't have much time or money to spend on it, so ideally something I can put together with stuff I already own.
Which Dean costume would you guys pick? Bonus points if it's cheap and ridiculous.

When Britta imagines the hook hand guy going for the group members at the end, she pictures herself with a classic novel but of course she gets the title wrong. Such a glorious detail

A few weeks ago I did a post about finishing season 2 because watching that was like the best experience of my life. I was going to make one for other seasons but I britta'd it.

But yeah, I started the show about a month ago and binged it all so so so quickly. I don't think I've ever been so absorbed by a show before, so in love with the characters and almost wanting to live in that world. That sounds cheesy but I stand by it, it might be my favourite show ever now.

I cried at the finale. Which isn't a huge achievement I cry at everything, but still. I am always accidently listening to Come Sail Away by Styx apparently.

It wasn't all perfect obviously. Season 4 is a lot worse than the rest of the show, though its really not as bad as everyone online makes out, I still throughly enjoyed it and there's a few episodes I'd definitely rewatch.

Sorry if no one cares but overall my favourite episodes were probably (in kinda a particular order??)

The cast is not phoning it in! The material isn't as good, but they are really trying hard to make it work, and so they really do give some good line deliveries.

Shirley to Dark Shirley "Get help..."

(Please no specific spoilers about plotlines in seasons 5&6)
My gf and I just finished s4 and we both felt as if they managed to tie everything up pretty nicely. Now we are like 10 minutes into the first episode of season 5 and so far it feels extremely forced for them to be coming back to Greendale.

So my question is - does the reason they stay in Greendale in s5 and s6 make sense or will it feel like they shoehorned them in?

Anyway, terrariums are due next week, lol.

In the episode Paradigms of Human Memory, there's a flashback where Abed walks into his room and discovers a nude Jeff and Britta.

I was at first confused by this comical situation, but the dialogue soon establishes that a leprechaun took their clothes. Despite this explanation, I suspect that there might be more to the story.

First, Jeff and Britta seem more surprised at seeing Abed than they are concerned about finding the leprechaun. Second, the leprechaun was never mentioned again or otherwise established as a canon creature within the universe of the show. And last, it was established (foreshadowed) in an earlier episode that Jeff is willing to lie in order to gain a temporary advantage.

Based on all these factors, I believe that Jeff told Abed a lie about the leprechaun and that he and Britta were actually having sex. Unfortunately we can't confirm this for sure, but that's my head canon. Dan Harmon is a genius.

Whenever that movie eventually comes out (and it will. It has to), I think during the credits they should cut together bloopers, BTS and clips from the show. If any of yall watch the Jackass movies, I’d want it to be similar to how they do it.

I just think it’d work as a nice tribute and would make fans like me bawl their eyes out

The end of the hand episode comes out of nowhere, like the ending gives you a whiplash. It goes so dark so fast. Like it is deeply messed up.
