Analysis: Sonny Styles is improving every week. This coverage play is one that very few other LBs can make. The range to cover the ground, the awareness to know where the danger is, the length to get his hand in to the catch point and knock the ball out. Incredible play.

Treylon Burks
So.. figured iād ask this question.
What are your thoughts on giving him an 3 year extension in the off season? Using the numbers after 6 games and a smaller share of snaps than the top 3, he would still be looking at like 500-700 yards, 6 TD without Terry out.
Heās shown to have heart and be a hard worker and is only 26.
Maybe our WR3 going forward? Antonio moves into WR2 and high draft pick (or trade) to be named later for WR1 (X)
Again this is all based on how the rest of the season goes. Just a thought experiment.

Styles v Daniels
Imagine a great coaching staff actually getting the most out of these two players by running rigorous mental practice between these two great, talented football minds.
Itās bye week and Dan Quinn is still the Commanders head coach.

[PigskinPal] Antonio Williams is showing the same early signs as the Day 2 rookie WRs who broke out after their bye, and McLaurin's 27 targets are up for grabs
Antonio Williams is showing the same early signs as the Day 2 rookie WRs who broke out in past seasons, and he's coming out of our bye this week.
https://pigskinpal.app/pigskinpaper/next-rookie-wr-breakouts
The model looked at every WR drafted in Rounds 2 and 3 from 2020 to 2025. The ones getting 3+ targets a game early in the year went from 7.5 PPR points a game to 14.9 the rest of the way. That's the Jayden Reed, Ladd McConkey and Tank Dell group.
Williams is getting 4.3 targets a game, and his snaps went from 37 to 49% in the first three weeks to 67 to 69% in each of the last three. He's at 7.4 PPR points a game, right where those guys were before they took off.
Now McLaurin is out for the season. He had 27 targets in five games, Williams had 26, and only Diggs (38) had more. Those targets have to go somewhere, and Williams is the receiver whose role was already growing. The projection in the article has him around 12 PPR points a game after the bye, and that's before factoring in McLaurin being out.
First game back is Week 8 against the Eagles, be on the lookout for a huge game.

Quenton Nelson
If heās really on the trade market, what are you giving up for him? Weāre not in win now mode but this would be a building piece for the foreseeable future. Do we think a 3rd in 2027 and a 5th in 2028 could get it done?
Heās in a contract year, but Iād view this as a trade and extend situation. We know who he is and have the cap. Guys like this donāt often hit the market.
Imagine this line next year:
LT - Tunsil
LG - Nelson
C - FA pickup
RG - Cosmi
RT - Connerly
This would pretty quickly be one of the best lines in the league pending the center. I think trading for Nelson would solve our biggest issue on offense right now and the years coming.
I know this reddit tends to hate mid season trades because of Lattimore, but this is different imo. Nelson is in his prime at 30 and guys at his position tend to go through their mid to late thirties. Would lock down the left side of the line for the next few years.

Besides the obvious Sainristil and Quan, who would yall say has not played well on defense this season?
I feel like there are a lot of guys that have really looked solid all year and yet we are still giving up tons of points

What Exactly Are We Missing At Oline?
Obviously, Tunsil was a huge loss, and our center situation is subpar. But, what actual pieces to do we need? From camp reports, it sounded like Coleman was going to be the LG over the less than desirable Chris Paul. Tunsil, Coleman, Patrick, Cosmi, Connerly actually sounds like a really solid line, with the weakest being Patrick. I feel like in terms of players, we really just need a strong starting center and some depth, but that is obvious. This oline would be completely different if we just had LT, it caused such a domino effect revealing our depth itās crazy. I feel like one of our biggest issues however, is the oline coaching. There is absolutely no reason ever you should get a sack with 3 up front how the 49ers did last week. Not only that, but Chris Paul has stepped on Daniels multiple times now. With some better coaching, and just improving on depth pieces, I think this oline can be turned around fairly quickly in the offseason.
TLDR. Oline bad, but a good center and depth away from being a good oline. Big issue that needs to be addressed is the oline coaching.

These are the great QBs that Jayden is āvastly inferiorā to? Fuck these JD5 narratives and fuck our organization for catalyzing them. (Rant)
Gonna start with Iāve had a few beers, so this probably isnāt the most rational post.
But damn, watching Jayden get absolutely slaughtered and bashed these past two weeks has pissed me off. Especially while Caleb and Maye get praised beyond belief. Right now I am watching these dudes with competent defenses, great play calling (wide open guys), great O-line play, great/good run games, great/good weapons, and they still look mediocre for the most part. And they, still, make consistently bad/awful decisions that if JD5 made weād lose by 75 points. I mean, have you ever seen him get bailed out by a WR screen on 3rd and 18 for a TD? Or have a 50 yard RB screen TD to end the half and get points?
Meanwhile, we have the worst coaching in the league, an awful defense, horrible play calling, a non existent run game, and mediocre - bad weapons, and I watch JD5 ball the fuck out and carry our shitty ass team again and again. Then he gets relentlessly shit on by the media for not being a āwinnerā, and honestly itās just absolute bullshit. Itās incredible how bad our team is around him. Also, I gotta have Maye and Williams shoved down my throat like they are the next Messiah because they have all the help in the fucking world.
It just fucking pisses me off that we are putting JD5 in this position. He is so incredibly talented and rare, and I am watching us ruin him in real time. Yeah, we āruinedā RG3, but we had Snyder, and (most importantly) he had plenty of issues that made his game not translate well to the League. He wasnāt 50% of the NFL QB JD5 is. But now, even after Snyder, I have to listen āRG4ā talks because our incompetent organization puts him in the worst possible position to succeed. We are bad or awful in every area that matters regarding supporting a young ascending QB. We put him in bad situations (Seahawks, Vikings). We give him no help, and never bail him out of anything. We have a terrible roster that is terribly coached.
I will always be a Redskins fan. Even if JD5 leaves and succeeds, I will support him, but I am a Redskins fan first and foremost. But it angers me that in 2026/2027, with a star QB, I am still deeply ashamed of our organization. We are ruining an amazing young QB and the national perception of him due to our arrogance and incompetence. Itās a joke.

Antonio Williams - Am I Delusional?
After seeing him in person, I think he genuinely looks amazing. He gets great separation, clean routes, and awesome hands. I genuinely feel like the only thing holding him back is just not having enough targets. Am I crazy in thinking if he starts getting fed, he has enough juice to be our WR1? I am extremely high on him and think Adam Peters knocked it out of the park drafting him when we look at most other WRs that went before him in the draft.

Though it Covers the Snyder Era, BlitzTalk made an interesting YouTube Video about what the worst NFL teams have in common.
Still: fire Dan Quinn.
