Finally Acquired a Copy of The Card I’ve Wanted for Years

I couldn’t be happier with this Walter rookie. I now have every Bears Topps card from 1970 through 2005. More importantly, this will be prominently displayed on the bookshelf in my living room.

[Da Bears] Jeremy Fowler: Bears OG Jonah Jackson has a hip flexor injury and is considered week-to-week, per source. Status for TNF in doubt but shouldn’t be long term.

[Kay Adams] Tell me again how Tyson Bagent can run the offense just as well. Tell me how Caleb overreacted to his hammy. Tell me he's inaccurate..

According to Stat Muse, the Bears' current average time of possession of 36.01 would rank #1 all-time (dating back to 1991).

The next closest team, the 2019 Ravens, had an average time of possession of 34:47 and went 14-2. Interestingly, the only teams on this list to win a Super Bowl were the 1992 Cowboys (#8) and 2000 Ravens (#22).

[Herb Howard] Bears OC Press Taylor: “We thought, as an Offense, that we were a part of the gameplan to limit (Atlanta’s) Offense.” Coach Taylor said they knew they couldn’t allow Falcons RB Bijan Robinson to get 30-35 carries. Excellent complementary football.

Shoutout to Rome Odunze quietly having his best receiving game as a Bear

Post image

This is going to go over the heads of the Rome glazers and the stat nerds, as Rome has definitely by the numbers had more productive days as a receiver.

But this Falcons game was the first time I have seen Rome be a complete receiver.

See, no matter what his numbers were at the end of the game for the past 3 years now, Rome always left more out on the field. He'd make an impossible catch that would be all people remember, but they'd forget he'd also have 3-5 drops that hit him in the hands, and has been consistent in this inconsistency, even pre-injury, even in year 1, even in the beginning of this season.

But this Falcons game, I don't recall a single drop. In fact, there were some where he had to catch the ball with his hands (as opposed to also using his body) and had to stretch for it, and he came down with everything today.

I get the numbers might not be flashy, but to me, this was his best, most consistent catching performance of his career.

I just wanted to point it out and shout it out. Because performances like this can be something that can be built upon, and it's rare to see this kind of consistent performance out of an inconsistent (if physically talented) receiver.

Shout out to Rome - I see you and well done.

Hopefully Jonah's injury isn't too serious

Some added context to the "Green Bay Sucks" chant that rang out during the injury.

I’ll admit I haven’t been a huge fan, but Roschon played well yesterday

Johnson has 148 total yards at week 6 after only having 17 total yards in 2025.

[Clay Harbor on X] Ozzy Trapilo’s 18 snaps. As you can see a lot to clean up a f some explosiveness and trust to build but a good start given the circumstances in his first game action. #DaBears #Bears
