Incorrect spot after Pats penalty in 3Q

Anybody else notice in the 3Q at about 14:00, Maye runs for a 1st down to the Jets 45. The following play, they are called for 10 yd holding penalty. The Jets accept and it’s 1st and 20. This is at 13:26 3Q.

The ball should be placed at NE 45 yard line, but the refs place it at the NE 48. You can clearly see the chains, and they are correct, showing Jets 35 line to gain for a first down. But Pats essentially got a first and 17, instead of 1st and 20. WTF?

Fire Sale Candidates?

• Upvotes

There's a few teams that are a mess that I'm not sure expected being a mess this year - namely the Chargers and the Eagles. Colts SHOULD go full rebuild (but who knows if they will).

Are there any players on teams that are getting close to hitting the panic button that you'd like to potentially snag at the trade deadline? Or would you rather see them stand pat and take all their draft capital into 2027 and beyond? Normally I lean towards the latter, but I wonder if we could get our hands on someone really good and capitalize on a GM's panic (Mougey's strength).

Was this the moment the refs realized they could just call everything against the Jets and nobody would stop them

Week 6: 2027 Draft Recap - Colts Lose, Cowboys Lose, Packers Win

In the 2027 draft the Jets have 3 first round picks: their own pick, the Colts’ pick, and the better pick of the Cowboys/Packers.

The huge news of the day was the Titans putting up 20 fourth quarter points to come back and stun the Colts in Indianapolis. This was massive for the Jets as this looked like a sure fire win for the Colts on their schedule. As a side note, the Titans picking up their first win was also good for the Jets, as it has them off the list of winless teams and climbing up the draft board.

Someone had to win when the Cowboys played the Packers, and the Packers dominated to pick up the win. The Cowboys continue to slide.

So at the end of Week 6, the Jets currently have the following first round picks:

#6 Overall (Cowboys’ pick)
#9 Overall (Colts’ pick)
#13 Overall (Jets’ pick)
