We just announced the new Nikon Z5IIC, everyday-carry mirrorless camera designed to make the move to full-frame photography more accessible. Built on the proven performance of the award-winning Z5II, the new Z5IIC combines a more compact, flat-top design with intuitive features like Scene Modes, helping those beginning their photography journey achieve great results. The “C” stands for casual- The Z5IIC is designed around a screen-first shooting experience that helps users remain immersed in the moment, with intuitive controls and automated features for those ready to learn/.
Main features include:
-Fast, precise subject detection AF built on deep-learning technology make it easy to capture sharp photos and video of fast-moving children, pets, sports and everyday moments. Also, new "fish" mode subject recognition.
- The Z5IIC pairs a 24.5-megapixel full-frame backside-illuminated CMOS sensor with Nikon’s EXPEED 7 image-processing engine – the same technology platform used in Nikon’s flagship cameras. Together with NIKKOR Z lenses, it captures rich color, smooth sunset gradations, natural background blur and cleaner detail in dimly lit scenes. For first-time full-frame users, that means visibly superior photos and videos with less noise and blur, even when the light is challenging.
-Scene Modes: 15 scene modes help you to get great results without first mastering complex settings.
-Picture Control Button: Quickly preview and apply built-in Picture Controls and favorites downloaded from Nikon Imaging Cloud’s growing library of Imaging Recipes.

-The Z5IIC is available in two colors; silver and black, allowing users to choose the one that best suits their preferences. The model is constructed of durable magnesium alloy for a premium, metallic feel.
The new Nikon Z5IIC will be available in mid-October 2026 for a suggested retail price of $1399.95 for the body only, or $1699.95 packaged with the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 lens.

I shoot with a variety of modern and old cameras. This includes bodies like the D700 and D200, all the way up to the D810, Z8 etc. I believe they all give me something different. The D200 though, is very special. Because of it's strict CFA filter sitting atop it's CCD sensor, it produces vibrant and punchy colour output alongside beautiful skin tones, without needing to rely on harsh raw colour transforms. I wrote a long and detailed article about my time using these bodies here: https://www.stevenrobinsonpictures.com/blog/2024/11/5/using-the-nikon-d200-ccd-colour-king-with-modern-cameras
The best news is, they can be picked up for a song over a modern body.

I recently visited Corsica in the Mediterranean and had the chance to capture its beauty with my Nikon Z5 II. I travelled with just a 35mm prime lens, which I absolutely love for its versatility. Corsica is truly worth a visit and offers countless photogenic spots, stunning landscapes, and beautiful little corners.

My partner partner loves this but I feel like I've over edited... What's your opinions?
Shot with Z50 with 18-200Nikkor lens
Edited in LR
I'm a beginner photographer, now with my D7500 and went on a nice hike today. Hoping to get some critique for what I can do to improve my photos, either on composition or editing. I tried editing these all in NX Studio.
Comments under each in the album with my thoughts/problems!
Nikon D7500, photos taken on either my NIKKOR 55-200 f/4-5.6 VR, my NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G or NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G. I'm finding it really obnoxious to swap between the 55-200 and the primes. Every time I swap to a wider prime, NOW some critter or bird will show up that I need the reach for. I kind of want to get something like a 24-140 or whatever other options are available that I can just walk about with for a whole hike without needing to bring a bunch of lenses and swap.

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to give you a quick update following my previous post. I've officially decided to keep the camera, and it turned out to be an absolute win! I managed to score this Nikon Z5 on Amazon Warehouse (rated "Very Good", with 12 months warranty) for €443, and paired it with a second-hand Nikkor Z 40mm f/2 in mint condition for €180.
When the camera arrived, I noticed two minor things on the sensor:
Out of curiosity, I checked the shutter count... only 82 shots! My guess is the previous buyer returned it thinking the sensor was defective, not realizing how easy those two things were to fix.
This is my first Full Frame camera and my first interchangeable lens Nikon.
First thoughts:
My style of photography is very relaxed and slow-paced, and for the price, I honestly don't think anything beats this setup right now.
Cheers! Anyone else running the 40mm f/2 as their primary daily lens?

As mentioned above, went to my first Airshow this year. Got the idea after joining an aerial photography workshop. All of these were taken with a Z8 and a 500 5.6 PF. I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I will be going to a few next year. Having an f-35 create a vapor cone just a couple hundred feet above you is truly something everyone should experience, it’ll vibrate every cell in your body.
Sadly, since it came straight at me, I missed the money shot of it, but I’m still happy with what I got.
For the next few shows, I’d like to focus more on the people and share more of the ambiance of the place.
Just wanted to share because I love these.

Any of you had this issue?
What would be the cause and troubleshooting when the information (Green) went missing?

Hello Fellow Nikon photographers, I am wondering if you have shot and compared the two setups? I am primary a wildlife photographer, and I currently use the 180-600 which has a ton of flexibility given the focal length. I am thinking of upgrading the quality of my photos to the prime 400mm with the 1.4x teleconverter if needed to reach 580. For the shorter end of 180-400, I will use a second body with a 70-200 f/2.8 and DX if needed.
Has anyone used this setup and felt the lack of Zoom flexibility to be a real impediment?
All comments are welcomed. Thank you in advance.
