Contaminated fuel
This was siphoned from my tank of my 2025 sorrento HEV. What kind of contamination does this look like? It’s standard 87 pump gas from a newer gas station in Central Florida.

Are these rotors resurfaced?
I asked the mechanic to put on new rear brakes and he said he resurfaced the rotors also. Is this what they’re supposed to look like or did he charge me for nothing?

Would you replace this joint?
Rebuilding a 1991 Mercedes w124.
It's the joint between the driveshaft shock absorber and the transmission output shaft.
I'm changing the shock abs thats connected to it because it looks worn out but this one doesnt look so bad even if it's 30 years old.
It costs around 80€, it's not too expensive but at the same time it's not cheap and also I don't know if I trust more an OEM from the 90s or a modern day aftermarket.
OEM new is probably super expensive so I'm even more dubious about that.

Solved Just got these delivered, are they still fine to use?
Box came opened a little, package inside was too like it was dropped on the floor. Are the discs still okay to use? I need them to sort my car literally tomorrow/Sunday so I don't want to return them. Thanks!

There appear to be cracks on my rotors, is this a cause for concern?
I'm curious to know if the level of rust and number of cracks on my rotors are a cause for concern.

Broken my best friend’s 18yr old sons Mk Golf gti…help!
Golf Mk4 gti 2001
My best friends son lent me his spare car that he’s been fixing up because he’s lovely and my own car has broke down…but the second I put the key in the door I’ve broken it…
Steps I took:
-pressed key button to unlock car
-passenger door would not open
-I used key stick in drivers door to unlock car again
-I get in car and open passenger door from inside
-alarm goes off
-I turn alarm off with key button
-key in ignition and immobiliser stopping car turning on. (Immobiliser with flashing key symbol)
We’ve tried lots of things this evening but no luck. Only one set of key.
Any and all ideas appreciated!
Edit to say: the dashboard says ‘immobiliser’ every time. And have given it loads of gas.

My car is a 2026 Kia K5 with 7K miles do I really need these things done?

Car started to squeak, exhaust rattles and entire car sounds louder than normal after a longer drive
Renault Clio mark 2 2007 - 120k miles
After a longer drive with high speeds on the highway, the car started making squeaking sounds from the exhaust area I suppose whenever I lift the clutch without giving gas. If I give a little gas then it goes away and if I also press down on the clutch again it goes away. Happens in first, second and in reverse at low speeds.
My exhaust also started to rattle / jump up and down whenever I go over speed bumps or driving on uneven roads, it sounds like the exhaust is unstable and like it will fall off but looking at the car it looks stable and in place.
The entire car also sounds a bit louder than normal and I did not have these problems before the longer drive and they all came at the same time.
I have minimal knowledge about cars and don't know what to or what to ask a mechanic to do and any advice are appreciated.

Valvoline restore and protect oil
Is it smart to use valvoline 's restore and protect oil in a low mileage, older car?
Would it do any harm of i use it on a 2006 Honda civic to save gas and prolong my engine? It has about 140,000 km. My fuel consumption hasn't been the greatest. I've read that vavoline R&P can improve gas mileage, but i think all the reviews were on high mileage vehicles.
Thanks,
Edit: fuel consumption: 14/100km
Edit 2: I see many people change the oil earlier with this oil. Should I change the oil sooner with this oil, or wait for the reminder to come on?

Anyone know what this is?
Drove maybe 3 minutes with overfilled oil and it started making weird noises so i pulled over got it towed home. Mechanic drained the oil and said that the motor and the car is completely done for. Just wanna get a second opinion because I’m 600 miles from home and i wanna know exactly what to do next. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

Wife's 2024 Audi Q5 S Lline, any ideas?
My wife's check engine light came on at 14k miles, and it threw these three codes: Any guess what could cause it?
Bad coolant temp sensor, maybe, but the codes paired with it are a little bit of a mystery, and German cars aren't my usual area of tinkering.
I'm guessing the databus code was triggered in conjunction with one of the other two. I just don't see any relationship between evap and coolant.
It's going to the dealer to get fixed, as it should still be under warranty. I'm just trying to learn a thing or two here.

2015 Toyota Highlander ball joint castle nut won’t come off now nut stripped.
So I’m replacing my ball joints control arms, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar links.
In Texas and all bolts are ruśt free. Soaked all bolts and nuts with PB Blaster before I started and during disassembly.
After removing the cotter pin I couldn’t get the castle nut off of the ball joint. Had to use a wrench. About 1/2” clearance between top of bolt and steering knuckle.
Anyway, removed cotter pin, PB Blasted it and let it soak for at least an hour, blasted it again, even torched it but couldn’t remove it. Now the damn nut is stripped!
I don’t think I can get a nut splitter over the bolt and don’t think it would split the hardened nut anyway? Thought about drilling it but again it’s a black hardened nut. Seems like my only option is to cut it off with an angle grinder?
What do you all think? Thanks

Better video of my golf gti struggling to start up
Evap purge valve isn’t stuck. No idea what could be causing this. Charcoal canister recently replaced. Fuel pump has been replaced, recently changed spark plugs. Starts up just fine on cold start, this is after letting it sit for an hour and a half.

No life in my battery?
I'm so pressed I don't understand my car, she's a 1993 Camaro, she just had 2nd and 4th gear replaced like 3 weeks ago, idk if that's a factory but I'm having I think battery or wire issues.
For the past couple days she's been having a slow start then clicking as if dead but then once I turn her on again she's start, however; she died the other day so we jumped her and brought her home so she could charge, once she was done I started her just fine and let her run for a minute then off again cuz I didn't need to leave. When I did actually leave and start her an hour or so later she was completely dead again!!
I unplugged the battery then plugged it in again and she started just fine. But then today she died, so I charged her, but she died again after 5 minutes, I unplugged her then plugged her in again and still dead. I've had the battery tested a couple months ago and it said it was a good battery, I've tested the voltage to see if it's sending out too much to my car when it off and draining my battery but it send out the correct amount. I don't know what to freaking do, help if you can please😔

Is my engine gone?
2005 Mustang GT 4.6L V8.
I daily drive this car, and it runs perfectly fine. No smoke, no check engine light, and no loss of power.
However, after driving about 9 miles (my commute to work), it starts making this weird noise when I'm completely stopped. As soon as I start driving, the noise disappears.
When I bought it, it had almost 2 extra gallons of oil, which caused heavy smoking. I removed the excess oil, and the smoking stopped completely, but the noise is still there.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!

Bouncing up and down
2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7 l v8 hemi 193k miles 4x4 . So new to me truck . Not familiar with ram 1500 . I took it on the freeway for the first time a few days ago. Just got an alignment and new tires was hoping the new tires would fix the bouncing. It does neeed lower ball joints and tie rod ends but would the lower ball joints cause the up and down . I’m planning on doing new shock absorbers because they don’t absorb much of anything

Car AC hissing
hey guys, i’ve recently noticed that my 2013 Mazda CX-5 is making hissing sound and they’re loud. it’s consistent and at the start it only blow room temperature air, and after few times of turning the ac on and off it will start blowing cold air.
Any idea on what’s happening here? is it because of a leak or just low refrigerant?
Oh, I’m based in Melbourne, Australia so if anyone has shop recommendations for me to visit would be appreciated!

Sanji LX70MK2-CL1-HY-B alarm system
Good day all
I hope someone can help me
I have search high and low, I cant seem to come right with the wiring diagram regarding this alarm system.
I know its a south African company that manufactures them.
I have phoned them and they said, they can not help me because I am not a registered dealer, fitment center.
I phone hyundai they said to bring my car in, sorry I will be doing that they did a horrible job fitting it and just turned the wires in that started pulling loose.
I am a technician (PCB) technician by trade.
I want to redo all the wiring my self and understand if something goes wrong. I have not decided if I want to solder everything in or just crip and build a loom, and do it right.
Please if someone can help or atleast point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated it.
Bouns if I can program a new remote.
If you need any pictures of the alarm module its self i can provide pictures of the pcb and anything you need
Much appreciated and thanks in advanced
