Physician Responded Might find this a little neat

Let’s start off with my specs, 23m 5’11” 176 lbs. healthy, fit. Went in just about a month ago for lower back pain, found a clot in my iliac and also my lungs. Of course, lungs top priority but since the pain in my back never went away, my dr decided to go ahead and do a mechanical thrombectomy. Here’s what they pulled out !

Physician Responded Persistent bubble inside lower lip after biting it

Post image
152 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I've bit my mouth twice in the past month or so and although I never tasted or saw any blood, I noticed a bubble formed right on that same spot on my lower lip.

The bump is a clear/translucent, fluid-filled bubble developed on the inside of my lower lip. It's approximately pea-sized and has now been there for over three weeks without going away or diminishing size. It doesn't hurt at all, it's not making my mouth swollen and it doesn't change forms during the day.

I've visited three different dental offices in NYC, and got diagnosed as a mucocele caused by trauma to a minor salivary gland. All of them quoted me upwards of $3,000 for complete surgical removal of the gland and one even asked for biopsy. I don't have dental or health insurance, and that amount is completely unaffordable for me. I'm at a loss about what to do next.

I'm trying to figure out a few things:

  1. Is it absolutely insane and not recommended to poke this thing and drain it on my own?
  2. Does a persistent bump like this necessarily need surgical removal, or are there situations where it resolves on its own?
  3. Is there a more appropriate specialist I should see rather than a general dentist?
  4. For anyone familiar with NYC, are there hospital clinics, dental schools, or other low-cost services that evaluate and treat these lesions for uninsured patients?

I'm not trying to avoid necessary treatment. I just can't afford thousands of dollars, and I don't want to keep paying for appointments that lead to the same unaffordable quote.

Any medical guidance or recommendations for affordable care would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

My girlfriend has been suffering from cold, cough, fever, loss of appetite, and chest pain. Today she vomited and there was a significant amount of blood in it. She stays with her family. I’m really worried and wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar. What could be the possible causes?

Physician Responded How would you handle

So for the purpose of barely knowing anything about pain meds etc. My daughters friend spent the night and I have found like 5-10 white packages squares that say fentanyl transdermal systems in the trash cans in her room and she said her friend was eating them like chewing gum. And now I'm very concerned about why she would do this , and her being friend with my daughter and if and how I could explain to her parents, that makes sense and they can understand.

Physician Responded How can I tell being blacked out from alcohol poisoning

The person I’m asking about is 35f 5’9 and 165 pounds.

She drinks a lot so it’s not like she doesn’t have a high tolerance but she had wine and she was smoking too. There’s three empty wine boxes in the kitchen. She’s passed out on the couch but I can’t tell if she’s just super drunk or if somethings wrong because I tried to get her up to go to her room so she’s not on the couch in the morning throwing up in front of my younger siblings and usually she sort of gets up for that but she’s not really responding to me this time. She’s breathing but she’s not really waking up and I’m worried. But I also don’t want to panic if it’s nothing and get everyone in trouble

Also wanted to add because I forgot she’s taking a GLP1 she gets online. Her weight is probably less than 165 now but idk what it actually is and the last time she said it to me she was 165

wtf just came out of me

This is so disgusting I can’t even believe I’m posting this but I’m definitely freaked out.

I’m 25f with no diagnosed health issues and I don’t take any medications. I’ve never gotten tested or diagnosed with IBS or anything of the sort but I’ve always suspected that I have it. Majority of my BMs are either constipation or diarrhea - constipation moreso I would think. I do get some dull lower abdominal pain every once in awhile but I’m fairly certain it’s only when I’m constipated, so I’ve just always assumed that’s the issue. I do have a lot of health anxiety so just keep that in mind pls :,)

A little bit ago I had some diarrhea like 30 minutes after eating dinner. Wasn’t complete liquid, but definitely soft. Tbh I didn’t really look at it before I flushed it but from the quick glimpse I got it looked like a normal color (tan) and consistency for being diarrhea. I flushed just the poop and then wiped and again nothing felt out of the ordinary. I flushed that and then wiped one last time and then stood up and looked in the toilet. I saw this weird brownish-pinkish-grayish little glob thing floating above the toilet paper. I looked closer to see if it was just a piece of trash or something but I could not tell what it was. I’m not proud of it, but I grabbed a baby wipe and fished it out of the toilet to look at it.

The best way I can describe the shape and size was like a round kernel of corn (I’ve eaten corn within the last few days but it definitely was not corn.) The color was similar to an engorged tick which I think is what’s freaking me out the most. There was also a little hair looking thing sticking out of the top of it. I pressed down on it and this like grayish brownish pus stuff came out of it. The outside of it stayed mostly intact but kinda ripped apart if I pulled. (Hopefully it goes without saying but I DID NOT ONCE TOUCH THIS WITH MY BARE HANDS AND MY HANDS WERE WASHED THOROUGHLY AFTERWARDS ANYWAYS). It really looked to me like some kind of ingrown hair cyst but how on gods green earth would that have ended up in my poop??? I still feel nauseous but I think it’s more because of this and now I’m convinced I have a parasite or cancer so😁 pls pls pls help

*I should have taken a picture but I did not. But I’ve looked around on Google a bit and don’t see anything that looks like it. Again - FREAKING me out

Physician Responded Could formula be detrimental to my baby?

25f 5’4 129 pounds

I’m 10 weeks postpartum. I always planned to breastfeed. In the hospital they tried to help me establish it. They wouldn’t let me give my daughter a pacifier, the nurse would tell me frequently to try feeding her, and I saw lactation a few times. They wouldn’t let me give her formula even after two days of having no success because they said if I give in I won’t keep trying. But even with all that, it just wasn’t going well. She couldn’t get a good latch no matter what we did and when she feeds I can feel the pain all the way down to my toes and that hasn’t gotten better. I’ve had mastitis 3 times now and developed an abscess. I’ve seen lactation consultants out patient multiple times. I’ve tried everything. I’m doing everything I’m supposed to and it’s just not working.

And I know breast is best. I know. They told me over and over while I was pregnant, it’s in all the moms groups, and even the lactation specialist when I’ve asked about supplementing or maybe not nursing anymore has told me we haven’t tried everything yet. So I know it’s important enough that the professionals want me to exhaust every option before stopping. I know motherhood is about sacrifice and sometimes we have to be uncomfortable for our kids. I keep seeing stuff about how formula is full of chemicals and unhealthy ingredients. I see all the posts from moms who are stronger than me and toughed it out…but I don’t know if I can do this any longer. The pain and anxiety and guilt is eating me alive. My entire world revolves around feeding her just to get her to take enough. And if I’m not feeding I’m pumping to try and keep myself from getting mastitis. I cry through every feed and every pump because it’s so damn painful. I started hurting myself because I don’t know how else to deal with how awful and guilty I feel all the time. This is supposed to be special and create bonding but I feel trapped and I feel like my daughter doesn’t like me.
And because of recent events in the news I feel I need to clarify I would never hurt her and I’ve never thought of it. But I can’t imagine doing this for another 8-12 months. I can barely stand the thought of doing this for another day. And I know it sounds so selfish because breast milk is so much better for them and offers them so much more protection, and I make plenty of milk, but I think it’s making me depressed. And anytime I’ve tried to talk to a doctor or lactation person or even another mom about the situation they just keep offering me other things I should try to make it work. I want to be strong enough and tough enough to do this but I’m weak and selfish.
I feel like switching to formula is failing my baby. And like it will make me a lazy mom who put her own comfort over her baby’s well being. I’m worried her doctor will judge me and my doctor will judge me and I’m afraid if I switched she won’t be getting her best opportunity. I’m worried I won’t be setting her up for her full potential. I’m literally pushing myself through every feed just gritting my teeth and repeating “breast is best” until it’s over.

I guess what I’m wondering is how much switching to formula would affect my baby and if it would hurt her. If I did stop breastfeeding her….what is she going to be missing? What detrimental effects could it have on her? I’m too afraid to have this conversation with any of my own providers. And the few times I’ve broached it they just try to give me more ideas to make breastfeeding work anyway. I just need information about what the repercussions of this could be because I don’t know if I can keep nursing her.

Physician Responded Infant jerking motions

9 month old male, 20 pounds, 29 inches, no known medical issues.

Looking for second opinions. 9 month old had a 103.4 fever last night and would jump(?) regularly.

You know when you "fall" in your sleep and jump scare yourself awake? He kept doing that. Maybe 20ish times in 3 hours. First while trying to sleep, during sleep it would wake him up, then at the ER while awake. ER doctor said its because of his immature nervous system dealing with his high fever. Can anyone ease my mind that this isn't infantile spasms/seizures of some kind?

Would this potentially justify a physician complaint, or am I overreacting?

I'm trying to understand whether my concerns about my doctor's care are reasonable and whether this could amount to a departure from the standard of care.
For context, I have fibromyalgia, endometriosis, PCOS, and mental health conditions.

In May, I began experiencing early satiety and was found to have an enlarged spleen. In June, a follow-up ultrasound showed that both my liver and spleen were enlarged.

Over the past two years, I've also had several persistent blood abnormalities, including repeatedly abnormal CBC results and ongoing findings such as elevated RDW/RBC-related measurements and low MCHC. I noticed these historical abnormalities myself and brought them to my doctor's attention, but my concerns were largely dismissed.

More recently, I've been experiencing significant and unexplained weight loss, which is unusual for me. I've historically had difficulty losing weight despite being on multiple medications. At my latest appointment, my doctor suggested Ozempic, but did not seem concerned about the weight loss itself. The weight loss is more than 5% of my body weight and over the 2lb a week.

I eventually saw another physician within the same clinic who immediately expressed concern and felt that the enlarged liver ( fatty liver) enlarged spleen, severe iron deficiency, abnormal blood work, and weight loss needed to be looked at together. My original doctor has continued to attribute the organ enlargement primarily to my weight.

I've requested specialist referrals multiple times, but the organ enlargement has now been present for approximately five months without further investigation.

Based on these facts, would it be reasonable to question whether my concerns were adequately assessed? Does this sound like a possible deviation from the standard of care, or simply a difference in medical judgment between physicians?

I'm genuinely trying to understand whether a complaint would be appropriate.

I’m 35 , no cigarettes smoking, I do smoke cannabis, female. In Canada.

Physician Responded Mom losing faith in medicine. Update.

It's me again, the mom losing faith in medicine, update and questions!

10M

Celiac

112lbs

About 5 ft ish

Hey there, me again. The mom with the kid with leg pain. I'll link to my previous posts in the comments and pin it.

Long story short, my son was admitted to Children's hospital for 6 days. We had an MRI that came back totally clear- whole body- with and without contrast.

His iron was low enough they finally did the infusion. Now we wait.

The only diagnosis they came up with between neurology, rheumatology and pain management is a "pain syndrome" where his nerves are heightened for no real reason. They gave him gabapentin, but it can take weeks to work (day 7 today) and they already upped his dose twice to 300 3 times a day.

I've seen many people online suggesting looking into his b-12 also, and when I checked, children's never ran it. They ran a renal panel, and they were working of a cbc from 3 weeks ago, but I had to ask them to even run the renal panel.

added symptoms from last time would be- he's been drinking like a fish. I pointed it out in the hospital one morning when he had like 100 oz of fluid before lunch. They were completely unbothered by it, but ran an A1C and it was fine. Like 5.3 or something. His face is also a little swollen still.

Here's my question - they did run an A1C, sure, but from what I'm seeing online, you can infact, get ketoacidosis without diabetes, due to lack of vitamins. Often times accompanying things like anorexia. But with his celiac disease, he's clearly lacking vitamins since he's iron deficient and vitamin d deficient.

Should I be pushing for them to test him for it? Not one did they check his urine for anything and they only tested his blood after I asked them to. I'm really concerned because he's still in *so much pain.*

*Any other suggestions welcome. I put in a request with his gp to run his b12 but they won't without the hospital and the hospital is telling me "have the doctor that suggested it put in the request!" But it's the Internet that suggested it, so there is no doctor.*

Physician Responded Doc refusing an infusion. I’m at my wits end?

F28, 179cm, 59kg. Non smoker, non drinker. Taking Keppra for Epilepsy and I have Mirena IUD for Adenomyosis.

My GP is refusing to give me an iron injection and I don’t know what else I can do?

I’ve suffered extremely heavy periods for years now and despite trying many different means to get them under control, including surgery they still suck, are extremely heavy and extremely long. If they’re not long I will have a period, 5-6 days without one and just start another again. I’m currently having around two 2-week long periods a month at the moment.

I feel absolutely horrendous. I can’t concentrate, have zero energy, as pale as a ghost, I feel weak and just in a constant daze. I’ve had this issue before as I mentioned and I was given 3 different types of Oral Iron as my Ferritin was 13ng and all 3 sent me to the hospital (Ferrous Sulphate, Fumarate and Gluconate) for a manual evacuation each time. I physically cannot go to the toilet when I take them, no matter how much orange juice I drink, no matter if I get given Movicol and Dulcolax to take alongside it etc. I physically cannot go to the toilet on any of them.

My Ferritin is now 6ng. I feel like I’m dying. They won’t give me an infusion because I don’t have Anaemia, only low Ferritin. I’m taking Feroglobin Liquid and sometimes I feel like it might be starting to help but most mornings I can’t even wake up until 12/1pm I’m that shattered.

What other option do I have? I don’t think I can cope with the exhaustion for much longer

29M in the USA, potential rabies exposure in Istanbul 3.5 years ago

• Upvotes

This is something I occasionally think about . . .

In Istanbul 3.5 years ago I accidentally startled a sleeping stray dog that then scraped my hand with a tooth before going back to sleep, all within seconds.

I foolishly didn’t consult with a doctor or get shots when it happened. This was a well-fed stray in a very touristy area and I also potentially saw it chilling in the same spot two weeks later; I couldn’t remember clearly if its ear was tagged indication vaccination, but statistics I found about the lack of recent recorded cases in Istanbul also helped assuage my fears at the time. I know I shouldn’t have relied on potentially false memories like that and should have just gone to a doctor but I didn’t.

I have forgotten to ask doctors about it here in the USA in all of my regular visits since then, and am currently unemployed so don’t have cheap access to healthcare to ask, but I occasionally get paranoid when I remember it as I am now when reading one of those stories about rabies showing up in someone years after exposure.

So I’m asking you all before I forget again: it this still something I should follow up on just to be safe, in the case of this being one of those rare instances?

Thank you 🙏

day 6 of nitrofurantoin (macrobid) and i’ve been having a couple of health concerns…

Post image
4 Upvotes

26F, 120 lbs, 5’4”

it’s currently day 6 out of 7 of my antibiotic treatment… i’m taking nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice daily (first time taking this drug) and i’m about to take my 2nd dose for today in about an hour but i’m unsure if i should hold it because of the rashes i’ve been getting… i also have some on my groin area, arms, and armpits

i have work tomorrow so i won’t be able to visit urgent care, i genuinely don’t know what i’m going to do… i tend to feel so anxious when it comes to health matters and i can’t call in tomorrow either because i don’t have sick hours anymore and i’ve had too much sick occurrences lately bc of the flu season

in addition to this, i feel like i have a yeast infection now too bc i’ve been having some vaginal itching and some discharge… also feel like i still have some uti symptoms left (including increased urge to urinate) tho not as worse as the first day i’ve had it

should i just keep taking it since i’m almost done with my antibiotic course anyway, or should i hold off? i won’t be able to go back to urgent care for another two days :’)

Is my spine cooked?

• Upvotes

Hi Docs,

Can anyone explain what this means in simpler terms? I (33M) went to the doctors for pretty bad lower back pain and recently got an mri done. This was the message they sent to me but I don’t really know what it means. Is it something serious? What can I do to fix it? I have another doctors appointment coming up to talk about it but I’m just worried. Can this be fixed?
Some more info about me is I am 170cm tall and weigh 94kg. The back pain got significantly worse about 3 weeks back and now if I sit for a long time I have a hard time straightening out my back (hip sticks out on one side and painful)

Sorry it’s super long

Message 1

Overall Summary:
Your lumbar spine MRI shows mild multilevel degenerative disc disease, meaning wear and tear of the discs and joints in the lower back. There is mild narrowing of the spaces where the nerves travel at several levels, particularly L2-L3 and L3-L4.

Detailed Findings:
There are mild wear-and-tear changes involving the discs and joints throughout the lumbar spine.
At T12-L1, there are mild degenerative changes along the bones of the spine without significant narrowing around the nerves.
At L1-L2, there is disc height loss and a disc bulge causing mild narrowing of the spaces where the nerves travel on both sides, without significant spinal canal stenosis or nerve compression.
At L2-L3, there is degenerative disc disease and mild osteoarthritis of the spinal joints, resulting in mild narrowing of the spaces where the nerves travel on both sides.
At L3-L4, there is a broad-based disc bulge, osteoarthritis of the spinal joints, and thickening of the surrounding ligaments. These changes cause narrowing of the spaces where the nerves travel on both sides, without significant spinal canal stenosis or narrowing of the nerve exit openings.
At L4-L5, there is a disc bulge and degenerative changes involving the adjacent bones, including mild inflammation (edema) along the vertebral endplates. There is no significant narrowing around the nerves.
At L5-S1, there is disc height loss without significant narrowing around the nerves.
The alignment of the spine is normal. There is no fracture, suspicious bone lesion, or abnormality of the visualized nerve structures.

Message 2

Impression
Multilevel mild degenerative changes without significant central canal stenosis or neural foramen narrowing.
Bilateral recess narrowing are seen at the level of L3-4 and L2-3.

Narrative
CLINICAL HISTORY: 33 year old male with persistent back pain. Not responding to conservative management. Please evaluate for impingement, stenosis, interventional planning purposes.
COMPARISON: No previous study available.
TECHNIQUE: Study performed per protocol.
FINDINGS:
Alignment is normal.
Bone marrow is normal in signal without evidence of fracture or marrow replacing lesion.
Conus terminates at the level of L1-2.
The cauda equina nerve roots are unremarkable.
No hydronephrosis.
T12-L1: Endplate changes. No significant central canal stenosis or neural foramen narrowing.
L1-2: Endplate changes. Disc height loss.
Posterior disc bulge, with mild narrowing of bilateral recess, otherwise no significant central canal stenosis or high-grade neural foramen narrowing.
L2-3: Disc desiccation, endplate changes, posterior disc bulge, facet hypertrophy, no high-grade central canal stenosis. Mild narrowing of bilateral lateral recesses. No high-grade neural foramen narrowing.
L3-4: Disc desiccation, broad-based posterior disc bulge, facet hypertrophy and ligamentum flavum thickening. There are narrowing of lateral recess without high-grade central canal stenosis or neural foramen narrowing.
L4-5: Endplate changes, endplate edema, broad-based posterior disc bulge, no significant central canal stenosis or neural foramen narrowing.
L5-S1: Disc height loss, no significant central canal stenosis or neural foramen narrowing.

Does this look like impetigo or cold sore?

Post image

Hi, F23, HX of OHSV-1

I randomly broke out in a big cluster of blisters on the corner of my lip. I had no prodromal sx whatsoever.

I have not gotten a cold sore this visible in years so I am having quite a hard time distinguishing if this is herpetic or impetigo.

Rabies

F30 pregnant and receiving PEP and RIG currently waiting in ER - living in ontario canada

Two bats found inside our house, possible unnoticed bite, and Public Health initially refused rabies PEP for our family

i am looking for advice from anyone familiar with rabies exposure assessments or who has experienced something similar.

We have a cat that killed (2) bats inside our house almost 48 hours ago and ate one of its head, meaning that bat could not be tested for rabies. Afterward, we found a second dead bat in our home. The second bat was found in the living room, one room away from our bedroom, while the first was found in the kitchen, two rooms away. My husband, our toddler, and I all sleep together in the bedroom, and our bedroom door was open.

I noticed a mark on my hip that I’m concerned could potentially be a bat bite, although I cannot confirm that a bat actually touched me. I contacted Public Health and explained the circumstances, including both bats, our sleeping arrangements, and the possible bite.

My cat was taken to the vet and received a rabies booster within seven days of the incident. He is now subject to a three-month confinement period under the guidance provided by our vet and OMAFA.
Our veterinarian contacted OMAFA to discuss the situation. They advised that the second bat does not need to be tested because the result would not change our cats confinement period. My vet is keeping the second bat frozen until they receive explicit instructions that it is no longer needed.

The Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative may potentially accept it for surveillance testing, but that testing could take weeks or months and would not be intended to guide an individual exposure decision.

The vet also discussed my concern about the possible bite with OMAFA and they advised that if I was concerned I might have been bitten, I should contact Public Health again.

Initially, Public Health did not recommend rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for me or my family. My family doctor then advocated strongly for me after reviewing my bite and spent hours discussing the case with Public Health. After that, Public Health finally approved PEP for me, including rabies immune globulin (RIG), and I am currently at the ER waiting to receive my first treatment.

However, Public Health is still not recommending PEP for my husband or our toddler because neither has visible bite marks. We were all sleeping in the same bedroom with the door open, although neither bat was found in the bedroom itself.

I understand that being in the same house as a bat does not automatically mean someone was exposed to rabies, and I’m not trying to assume that my husband or toddler necessarily need treatment.

What worries me is that the absence of bite marks seems to be the deciding factor, even though bat bites can go unnoticed and our toddler cannot reliably tell us whether contact occurred.

I’m struggling to understand why my possible exposure warranted treatment after my doctor pushed for reassessment, but my husband and toddler are being assessed differently despite sharing the same sleeping environment.

My questions are:
Has anyone in Ontario dealt with Public Health over a possible bat exposure while sleeping?
Is the absence of visible bite marks enough to rule out exposure when a bat was found elsewhere in the home and the bedroom door was open?
Should my husband and toddler receive an individualized reassessment based on the full circumstances, rather than bite marks alone?
Has anyone successfully requested a second opinion or escalation when they disagreed with Public Health’s rabies exposure assessment?

Physician Responded Question for NICU Drs

Hi there, since this community requires this- my son was 7 lbs 1.5 ounces and 16 days when he passed. My question to you is how often do you order rapid genome sequencing panel when there are critically ill newborns and no genetic cause has been identified with testing already completed. Thanks :)

How bad is this fracture?

F24, no meds taken, no previous health issue, 150cm 42kg, fell from bicycle

Doctors took this xray first, then took an mri and now they want to do open surgery. I don't trust them because of multiple bad experiences (went for an ear clog, doctor gave me loud tinnitus and permanent hearing loss from microsuction, they broke my elbow trying to force it to straighten out after a crash). I don't know if this xray is enough for anyone to say anything, please help me :(

Phenobarbital Effects

• Upvotes

M21 5’10 150lbs I was given phenobarbital last weekend on Sunday morning at 6:31AM to medically detox from alcohol. I was sent home about 5-6 hours later. The first four days I was really out of it and constantly tired. I definitely don’t feel as tired anymore but I feel “really dumb” for lack of better words. Like I can communicate with people but I’m kind of just talking and my brain is somewhere else. My memory has also been horrible these last couple days. I’m aware this drug has a long half-life and stays in the system a while I am just really worried and wonder if this will go away or if I need to return to the ER? Thanks!

Physician Responded Alcoholism relapse-Could this be an early sign of dementia?

This is regarding my parents (67M, 70F). My dad has high cholesterol that he takes meds for (not sure of the specifics), and he has Barrett’s Esophagus. My mom has gout, diverticulitis, and hashimotos.

I’m (42F) getting concerned about the decisions my parents have been making recently. I know personality changes can be a sign of dementia and given their ages, I’m wondering if that’s what’s happening.

I grew up in a dry household. My dad was a recovering alcoholic basically my entire life up until the past couple of years. He was very open with us about alcoholism and told us that once you’re an alcoholic you are always an alcoholic. My mom also didn’t drink to support my dad. I was in my late teens the first time I saw my mom have a glass of wine at home.

Within the past 5 years, my parents have decided that it’s ok for my dad to drink again as long as it’s only wine that he’s drinking. Over the summer at a family wedding, my parents both got drunk and DROVE. This is completely outside of the norm for them. I’ve always known them to be very responsible people.

My dad mentions drinking casually in conversation now. Last weekend my parents watched the kids for us and my dad asked me if there were going to be drinks at the event we were going to. This never would’ve been a question he would ask if he were sober.

At this point, I’m starting to worry that this sudden change is a warning sign of dementia. Otherwise, I cannot explain what is happening and I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone. Could this be early dementia? Or something else? I want to get some perspective in case I should be having a difficult conversation with my parents about their health.

To help my mri is clear (brain mri but non protocol) no shingles, no lyme disease, no hsv 1 or 2, il 6 normal, all rheumatologist labs entirely normal, all immunologist labs normal except ige of 1156, i had a prior pseudomonas infection in my sinuses found during my 2nd surgery of sinuses april 2025 , i requested hla b27 testing , going to be trying that soon. Crp raised to 13.65 in the past few months with wbc to 14.9 hematology said its inflammation according to flow cytometry results .... Cleveland clinic said since im not a Candidate for surgery with my condition combination, it doesn't matter to look for my diagnosis because it doesn't change treatmeant (limited wear sclerals) .... im worried i'll wake up one day with no vision nect tim pr when my diseasesoccuragain . 36f smoke yes, weight 170 height 5"9 , xanax and Lexapro (anxious issues from sudden vision loss) *photo of my neovascularization, lack of limbal niche. It’s been spreading and getting little pus in some areas.

It doesn’t itch and she doesn’t notice it if it’s not touched. But when touched it hurts her.

What could be the problem and any shampoo recommendations we can switch to please?

I am 24F, i do not take any meds.

I am a dancer, and a move I do on stage messed up my spine pretty bad. I lay on my back for this move and bend it, making the center of my spine hit the floor pretty hard. I have had this bump before, but it hasnt been this big. They usually go down. I havent taken anything to help with swelling or pain.

I am posting because I have had people tell me to get it checked, but I do not have insurance. I think ill be fine in a week, as thats what usually happens, but would like opinions just in case.

At my wits end and feel like I'm going insane

22, F, 240 pounds, 5'11. Ulcerative Colitis diagnosis, have iron deficiency treating with iron supplements currently, also on prednisone taper currently. I have been suffering for severe migraines for a few months now, started out as just normal migraines and it is progressively turning into alot of scary symptoms. Facial twitching, pressure around temples, sharp pains all over head, facial fullness, nystagmus when focusing too hard, ear pain, vertigo, crazy pulsating head feeling when standing too fast. My PCP thought it was from my sinuses, so she ordered a ct with sinus. I just had a ENT appointment today and the doctor told me the results would not cause the type of symptoms I am experiencing. He said I need to see a neurologist. I'm not going to be able to see one for MONTHS. I'm just getting worried about waiting so long. It's going on a week for one of the worst migraines of my life, with all of those other symptoms I've mentioned prior and light sensitivity. Its ruining my life and I guess I'm just wondering if my symptoms are concerning enough for immediate treatment or if a normal run of the mill migraine could make me feel as terrible as I do. Any advice is super appreciated.
