Question Wrecka Krew head question
I’m looking at the boss nob on the box, and he’s wearing an armored mask thing that reminds me of Gladiator.
But, it’s not in the instructions. It’s not on the sprue. The same model on the back of the box is wearing a different helmet, and I’m not seeing anything like it on the sprue and instructions. I haven’t inspected the rest of the kit yet, but was there a model update since the packaging was printed?
And second question, where can I find the head/helmets depicted on the box?

Misc Just because something says non acetone. Does not mean it won’t melt your minis.
I placed it in this to get rid of the primer. But i had forgotten it hours later.
Damn dude i really wanted to play them. Thankfully it’s just these 3 out of the 11. So i can still paint some of them. Just can’t play them.
Yeah i know it was stupid.

Hobby Tzeentch-themed Tempestus Aquilons — a kitbashed kill team
My take on Tempestus Aquilons as followers of Tzeentch, combining parts from several different miniature kits. Purple armour ties the team together, with green lenses and pink energy effects adding some colour against the industrial terrain.
I took a new set of photos so I could show the whole team together and get a closer look at the individual models. The group shot is first, followed by a few smaller groups and details.

Hobby Emperor’s Children Murderwing
Tried using Streaking Grime for the first time after I wasn’t thrilled with how the hot pink paint I used went on. Definitely a different vibe than I was expecting when I started the project, but really happy with how they came out!

Hobby My DW killteam with some converted to firstborn
I just wanted these ready for the tabletop and my acceptable standards since I want to play with them
I'm not that satisfied with the results that much especially the beaky helmets with me having trouble with the white (the white on the Sargeant's helmet peeled earlier while I was painting) the shoulder pads and the black and yellow wires.
I also still need to add some highlights to the whole body kind of like "eavy metal" but not quite since I don't have that much time to do it as a student. (the body is semi fine just some touch ups here and there.)
The gravis armor and the scout's equipment are magnetized and both gave my hand a beating trying to hand drill them which worked fine but I really need to get new drill bits
Whole process took me about 1 1/2 weeks split into 3-4 weeks since I was busy with other things and had to wait for new materials
Edit: I used some old primaris space Marines I had for extra bodies since I didn't want to magnetize the whole team. I didn't even use them anyways and it wasn't enough for a full army let alone a combat patrol and as a KT it wasn't that good only being pistols and a chainsword (I used my old space Marines from my 9th Ed recruit set)

Hobby Update: Fitting the '94 Big Shot on a 28mm Void War base!
Took the advice from yesterday's thread and got to work! First up, a huge thank you to u/G-old-59 for the initial advice about keeping things game-legal, and a massive shoutout to u/BipolarMadness for going above and beyond with the screenshots. Seeing the actual assembly instruction picture showing the lone 28mm base rule was a total game-changer. To make this Bigshot kitbashed from a classic metal sculpt fit the modern base, I had to cut a custom slot directly into the industrial details of the Void War plastic. I also ended up modifying the model slightly by shifting the tripod legs back a bit so the gun doesn't overhang the front of the 28mm base too aggressively.
Really happy with how this old-school sniper bridges the gap onto modern terrain. Now I just need to tidy up the cuts and finish it off before painting the base!

Hobby Elucidian Starstriders proxy: Garden of Islumbine
When Lady Elucidia Vahne met her untimely, and unlikely, demise in the bowels of her own ship, one of the lower deck rabble was there to capitalize on the situation, Islumbine. Izzy removed the Rogue Trader’s hand and eye, falsified her identity, and stole the Warrant of Trade. She changed her name to Islumbine Vahne, to reduce suspicion, and renamed the crew “The Garden of Islumbine.”

Question Can you use these small corners on Volkus as cover?
So the ventriloquar is trying to shoot my blood herald. He has line of sight and is outside of 2 inches. We were wondering if the blood herald can be a valid target if the ventriloquar cannot draw line of sight to his whole base? In other words, do these small pillars (or remnants of pillars) count as cover, or are they insignificant?

Hobby Painting advice
Hey all,
Just looking for some advice on a WIP I got going on. I'm painting my Murderwing up in mostly Deathwing colours (with some variations here and there for character and flavour). This is how far I've gotten on the champion. Aside from the obviously unpainted bits I'm thinking it needs something else to tie it together?
The only thing I can think of is just neatening up the lines where the panels and trim meet.
Keen for any input.

Question Proxying Boyz as Goremongers?
I want to play goremongers (casual only) but I’m not sure if many people would find kitbashed orks acceptable to run as goremongers. Anything I can do to make them more acceptable?

Question Elite fieldcraft interaction when being charged at
So I got a question regarding the interaction of Elite fieldcraft (EF) points in this situation.
So my Sargent is being charged by a Stealth suit (in engage, to clarify, red line is his charge), here is my question, in this situation, can I use EF to shoot at the suit with my stubber (green line) even if it is getting into engagement range/ control range of my Sargent as to go fight or can I only shoot at point blank with the Sargent?
