Team News [Person] Panthers soon could have a surplus of offensive tackles. Why that’s a good thing
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the first time since his freshman year at Georgia, Monroe Freeling attended a football game Sunday but didn’t play.
“It was definitely a little different, but I just considered it a free business trip,” Freeling said with a laugh.
Freeling, the Carolina Panthers’ rookie offensive tackle, made the most of his time in Philadelphia, getting in a pregame workout at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday morning while continuing to rehab a right knee injury.
Freeling also sampled the local food scene, including the sandwich that’s synonymous with Philadelphia.
“I actually doubled up. We went and got dinner at this steakhouse. I forgot what it was called but it was really, really good,” Freeling said Monday. “And then ran it back because we wanted Philly cheesesteaks, too.”
After starting the first four games at right tackle, Freeling might be moving to a reserve role. While Freeling was sidelined after getting hurt in the second half of a win over the Detroit Lions, veteran Taylor Moton returned from a health scare for Sunday’s 25-14 win against the Eagles.
The 32-year-old Moton played all 79 offensive snaps at right tackle, while Rasheed Walker, a free-agent acquisition last offseason, made his fifth consecutive start at left tackle.
Although Panthers coach Dave Canales said the team is still working through scenarios at tackle, it’s possible — maybe likely — that Freeling becomes the swing tackle and backs up both spots.
“T-Mo looked like T-Mo (against the Eagles). Rasheed Walker played his best game. We’ll see where Monroe is at physically and we’ll go from there,” Canales said Monday. “While this is a first-round pick for us, this is a high-value player for us, we’re gonna do what’s best for the Panthers. And we’re gonna put the best group (and) healthiest group out there.

Analysis [PuckettTakes] Panthers WR yards after catch per game in the Bryce era: 2023: 45.2 (24th) 2024: 40.1 (26th) 2025: 35.2 (27th) 2026: 62.6 (4th) Bryce is at 309.8 passing yards a game. Turns out it helps when your receivers do something after the catch.

Team News [Joe Person] Dave Canales on the plans for OT Monroe Freeling if he's able to play this week: "This is a first-round pick for us but we're gonna do what's best for the Panthers." More context: Canales also said "T-Mo was T-Mo" and mentioned Rasheed Walker played his best game at PHI.

Discussion Jalen Coker
I am a packers fan coming in peace. I just wanted to say that Jalen Coker is the goat, and I hope he drops 1500 this year. Best fantasy pick of the season for me by far.

Discussion Between Lee, Wheatley and Ransom, I believe our secondary for the future is in great hands.
Ransom is my personal favorite! I always mocked him and T-Mac to us and love we have both!

Discussion Stats for Bryce Young's last 17 games (including the playoff game against the Rams)
Sure, a record of 9-8 doesn't currently scream greatness, but it's still a winning "season" and of course, it's not all on him (cough cough Evero). 31 TOT to 10 interceptions is also very good, and currently ranks up there with the "elites". For comparison, Josh Allen (a goated 42:12), Mahomes (33:13), Stafford (38:13), Lamar (30:8), Dak (28:12). The last 17 for Caleb is 28:11 and CJ Stroud is 24:11. Many teams would kill to have a QB capable of Bryce's current stats. At this point, I think he deserves the franchise QB designation.
Would love to have a friendly discussion with the BY haters and hear why you still think that he ain't it. I know y'all are out there even though y'all have been super quiet lately (for good reasons lol). EDIT: yes, a bad game will inevitably happen and I'm sure the haters will reappear in full force when it does. We're always talking about his inconsistency, which is fair for years 1-2, but the last 17 games shows he is better than the average QB. Even then, I don't think he's hit his ceiling.
Also, I called out Evero earlier, but tbh holding the Lions to 26 and Eagles to 14 (albeit second stringers) is respectable, especially with our top 2 corners out.
Super Bowl bound! Keep Pounding!!!

Humor we have some crackheads on this team lol
The Felipe Franks missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it is, from where it isn't, or where it isn't, from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation.

Discussion Am I dreaming or did we get through a game without any major injuries?
I've been dreading seeing an injury headline all day... You know, one of those "Player X stubbed his toe yesterday and it turned out to be a broken neck and he'll be out for three years" type of reports. But so far, nothing. Plus we won yesterday in a game we were expected to win. Did the universe finally stop hating us? Have we finally crossed the line from mediocre to possibly good?

Discussion [Chris Tomasson] With Panthers (3-2) winning today and Buccaneers (1-5) losing, eyes on if Week 9 #Broncos (4-2) at Panthers game (scheduled for 11 a.m. Mountain on Nov. 8) could be flexed to Sunday Night Football. Current SNF game is Bucs at Bears (4-2).
x.comThere's a possibility we could get SNF for the Broncos game. I know CBS gets to protect certain matchups but I honestly don't know how all that works exactly. But who would have thought we could possibly have TWO SNF games this year?

Discussion This has been a better start than I expected!
One BS penalty away from being 4-1. But we’re 1-0 in the division and won a primetime gam! Although I won’t lie, from halfway through the second qtr until the 2 minute warning in the 4th I was afraid we’d blow it! But I think this team has a bright future!
