I've seen a lot of posts on here implying that, now that Vivek put out that ad with Acton's mother, he's signed his own death warrant, and I'm telling you that can't be further from the truth. This ad was made for a reason, this ad was released for a reason, it reflected what his voters wanted to hear and see.

Most diehard conservatives out there aren't going to care if it's true or false, all they care about is that an ad from their candidate said it was true, so that's good enough for them. There is no world where a majority of them see this as "distasteful". This is exactly the kind of shit they feed off of.

This race is not won, and that ad probably energized some voters on HIS side who are now going to ensure they vote for him even if they previously planned on sitting this one out. We cannot become complacent, we cannot assume because someone did something abhorrent that everyone will see it for what it is, because they won't. You need to vote, you and anyone you know who cares about not having a disgusting, evil, pathetic billionaire fuckface run our entire state. This is FAR from over.

This is an X-post from Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign manager that promoted the Acton ad. He is appealing to "everyday Ohioans" about Amy having 10 professionally cleaned lab coats. He must have forgotten Vivek flew on a private jet from Findlay to Toledo to speak at a VFW hall in Wauseon OH. These people are so out of touch with everyday life in Ohio.

A side note. The president of the Wauseon School board Larry Zimmerman decided to go to the Vivek rally at the VFW hall rather than go to that night's scheduled meeting concerning the earned income school tax on the ballot this election. And I'll go ahead and say the quiet part out loud:

ANYONE THAT SUPPORTS THIS TYPE OF DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR, INCLUDING VICTIM BLAMING, CONDONING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND RAPE, HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS WORKING IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM IN OHIO MUCH LESS BEING THE PRESIDENT OF THE SCHOOL BOARD.

Ohio Republican Party kicked off its 11-day bus tour this morning at The Local Bar in Strongsville, with Vivek Ramaswamy on board and Max Miller on the lineup. We were on the sidewalk to properly greet them, and our sign made sure guests understood where to go: the arrows directed them right to the entrance where the bus pulled in and rolled back out.

This comes days after Vivek's campaign confirmed it made the ad putting Amy Acton's estranged mother on camera to call her a liar, and said it's spending $4 million to air it. Problem is, the court records say the liar isn't Amy. Mahoning County records and a 1978 Youngstown Vindicator report show her stepfather was charged with abusing her as a child, and her mother lost custody and stayed married to him anyway. Even Mike DeWine called the ad "deeply, deeply troubling" and asked Vivek to take it down. Trump and Vance are defending it. Seriously? We never thought they would sink THIS low.

The repercussions are already being felt. Two venues have backed out of hosting them. The Zanesville stop at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl quietly vanished from their schedule, now "location to be announced." The Ashtabula location said no, claiming a misunderstanding.

The tour hits Powell and the Circleville Pumpkin Show later today, then 30-some more stops through Nov. 2, all over the state. Follow our accounts for schedule updates as new locations drop, so you can plan a protest when the Crazy Train derails into your county.

Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY. Bonus: campaigns can see who has already voted (not how). Once you vote, they take you off their call, text and door-knock lists, and your candidates can put that money and those volunteers toward people who haven't voted yet. Fewer texts for you, more help where it counts.

Read this fantastic work of journalism from Whitney Web. My jaw hit the floor when I found out that Lex Wexner purchased the rights to the revenue generated from the state’s liquor tax.

You read that right: Wexner receives all the tax from every bottle of booze sold, and he doesn’t have to report what he does with the money whatsoever.

One more time: An Epstein billionaire associate owns the revenue from your state liquor tax and isn’t responsible for disclosing what he does with the money.

My ballot got in yesterday. Just wanted to remind everyone that there are Ohioans living overseas who still love and care about our state. Until the last vote is in, treat the race like he is up 20 points. His ties to AI data centers - doesn't matter, assume the AI issue is less unpopular than it is and it will not cost him that many votes . The fact he has the charisma of wet tissue paper - doesn't matter assume he has enough charisma to turn out just enough voters. His race - doesn't matter assume republicans will turn out for him. The ad featuring Amy's mother - treat it not like a death knell for his campaign but that it just boosted him 20 points in the polls. Do not get complacent, until the results are in assume he is going to win.

Vivek claimed that she wasn't paid, but I think we should put a massive spotlight on that. Another detail that could make this story even more disgusting and wrong.

Acton, a survivor of sexual assault, has publicly spoken about her experiences, supported by her brother. Ramaswamy’s actions demonstrate a lack of moral character, contradicting the values of truth and integrity upheld by his alma mater, St. Francis Xavier High School.

Acton and her brother have both said their childhoods were abusive, with Acton saying her mother moved them to various homes frequently and were eventually removed from her custody after they spent one winter living in a tent outdoors. In the ad, Acton’s mother calls her daughter a liar.

“She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true,” Acton’s mother, Donna Arthur, said in the ad.

Court records obtained by NBC4 from the Mahoning Valley Clerk of Court show Acton’s stepfather, Cledith Arthur, was charged with sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 13 between December 1976 and April 1978. Records show Arthur pleaded not guilty to the charge. The victim’s name is redacted, per Ohio law.

Court records list Arthur’s address as Terrace Lake Park in Rogers, Ohio. Google shows the location as a campground. 

The entire logic train is "Amy lied about living in a tent. Thus, Amy is a liar and was never raped. Therefore, everything Amy says is a lie". But there is documented proof (linked from the article - see page 7) proving Amy's story.

Donna Arthur is not credible in appearance, demeanor or in her knowledge about a person she hasn't seen in almost 50 years - yet she has the ability to frame thoughts exactly like a campaign press agent. There is published documentation that Arthur's claim is horseshit.

VIVEK KNOWS THAT IT IS HORSESHIT AND CONTINUES TO INVEST $4M BACKING UP A KNOWN LIE. OR IS HE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE IT? Either is enough to disqualify him from leadership.

Anyone who has the opportunity to attend at a Vivek event, make sure he hears the question "Are you stupid, or are you a liar?". Make him hear it wherever he goes for the next week an a half. Let him and the press see you holding signs asking this question.

I like to relax and watch TV in the evening. But everytime that commercial comes on my blood starts to boil. What type of mother who hasnt seen their daughter since the age of 12 do this? Call her a liar for the rest of her life. These ads are effecting my mental health and I want them Removed!!!! Like yesterday. In 59 years ive never called my congressman or left messages for campaigners but I just did. This commercial makes me, as a mother, IRATE!!!!
