Obama approved federal funding for high speed trains and Governor Kasich shut it down. Vote for Amy Acton and Sherrod Brown so we can have nice things.

$400 million in funding was approved for high speed rail to connect Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Dayton. Kasich rejected the funds, claiming that the top speed of 79 miles per hour would be too slow and questioning whether enough people would ride it. Source 1. Source 2.

Vivek Ramaswamy served as an adviser on COVID-19 issues to then-Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted

For anyone not aware, here was Vivek's stance during COVID:

In April 2020, Ramaswamy advocated for a national system utilizing mandatory antibody testing and an immunity registry to track individual antibody levels. Under his 2020 proposal, individuals with verified immunity or antibodies would be allowed to return to normal daily life, while those without evidence of immunity would remain under lockdown restrictions until vaccinated.

Do Republicans trust someone who wants a national database?

Libertarian candidate for OH-43 Zach Hall admitted to severe animal abuse

Zach Hall is the Libertarian candidate for Ohio House District 43 (Lucas County / Toledo area) in the November 2026 election. Recently a video has resurfaced of his past animal abuse which he has admitted to and faced 0 consequence for. I would strongly recommend not watching the video as it is absolutely traumatising and involves depraved abuse of a cat. Even a description is far too distressing so look into it at your own risk. But this man cannot be allowed to run, something must be done about this.

If you would like to look into it which I strongly recommend you DO NOT the latest post on @/ adoniseatsrocks on Instagram has evidence of his crimes but again I will warn you although censored it is incredibly distressing. I am worried this will be taken down so over the past 2 days I’ve been collecting whatever evidence about this I can find as they are trying to scrub his crimes.

Asked the lady driving around with New Jersey plates knocking on people’s doors for John Husted if she was from New Jersey; no she’s from Texas and getting paid, it’s just a rental car. Why not at least pay Ohioans to campaign for you if you have to pay someone to do it?!

The state of Ohio spent more than a billion dollars of taxpayer money on private school vouchers in fiscal year 2025.

Ohio appeals court rules state’s private school voucher system unconstitutional.

This shit just angers me. I’d much rather have my taxes go towards universal healthcare, public schools, paid maternity/paternity leave and many other things I can think of a better use of my taxes. Yet my taxes fund private schools my kids don’t even attend (they attend public), rich people getting more rich and genocide. What in the actual fck.

Just saw a very short ad for vivek that said he's "delivering for Ohio" because he lowered the gas tax.

What am I missing here, he's not currently, nor has he ever, held office in Ohio.

In need of 2 Ohio Renaissance Festival tickets for Oct 24th

Hate to be this desperate and I’m sure this will get taken down but I’m asking for some resources here. I already booked an Airbnb for next weekend but was too late to get fair tickets. It’s my first time going and I honestly didn’t know they could sell out.

Does anybody know someone selling two tickets for Saturday Oct 24th? I’m already in some Facebook groups for tickets but Facebook is full of scammers so I’d prefer to go through someone on Reddit. Any help / information is appreciated.

Ohio's Republican-controlled government keeps issuing laws that are likely unconstitutional on both the state and federal level. They know that they will be challenged in court. This is a waste of time and money. One bill is trying to establish a dress code for Ohio! Let's stop this nonsense. VOTE!

SHARONVILLE, Ohio —

An Ohio state representative is calling for an indefinite pause on the use of Automatic License Plate Readers in the state following the indictment of a Sharonville police lieutenantfor the alleged misuse of the technology.

Investigators say between Dec. 19, 2024, and April 20, 2026, Cordes used the Flock camera system 29 times to track someone he knew for personal reasons. They said the misuse came to light in June through a self-report during a department audit of the system.
