The Columbus Crew Supporters swept the first ever Crew/FCC Supporters Derby, with a 12-8 win in Mason today!

Thanks to our players who represented the 🖤 & 💛 in each of the 2 legs, and for our fans who came out to cheer us on!

And major thank you to our rivals and new friends in Cincy - they played a tough game and were gracious in defeat. We hope you have a great rest of your weekend … right up until 5pm Sunday! 😏

Our new trophy is a piece of a tire which was found on I-71 next to the HiR sign. What better way to commemorate our rivalry?!?

Today in Mason, 12 of our fellow Nordeckians will be battling FCC supporters in the 2nd leg of our first ever Schucks is Debatable derby!

Thanks to a dominant 19-8 futsol win the first leg, Columbus will win the derby with a win or draw today.

If by some means FCC wins today, then we go to tiebreakers. Which will be old-school MLS PKs, with a run up from midfield.

If you’re going to be in SW Ohio today, then please join us at Let’s Play Soccer, 846 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio, 45040.

If you can’t be there in person, then please send your well wishes to our roster who will be representing the 🖤 & 💛!

next week for US Open Cup. Mentioned on latest Soccerwise podcast.

I’m gonna be in town for match week and I wanted some cool vibes for the match. Is there any lively parts around town or the stadium that people gather at and hang out before games? I was going with my dad and we really wanted to see how you guys get down.

(I heard that there might be a joint STL/Crew pre game somewhere on this sub a couple weeks ago, any news on that?)

Researchers have been surveying fans of rivalry teams across sports for years, and Columbus vs. Cincinnati keeps coming out near the top of MLS.

Two things stood out in the fan responses:

Geography came up more than anything else. One FCC fan described it as a rivalry “Cincinnati and Columbus have a big sister, little sister mentality towards each other, but both cities think they’re the big sister.”

And one Crew fan said back in 2021 that Cincinnati had “only won one game” against Columbus. That’s changed a lot since.

Curious what you all think: what’s the one thing that makes this rivalry feel different from other MLS matchups?

(Disclosure: I help with the Know Rivalry project, which collects this data. Happy to share more of what we’ve found if anyone’s interested.)

I am looking online and there are seats available in the away section, but they are in the first two rows and i noticed in past years those first two rows of the away section is closed off, so should I sit somewhere else or are these tickets real?

Which sections are likely to have the highest concentration of Crew fans?

Talk about anything and everything with fellow crew fans!
