Rant Don't fuck with me
My teachers have been complete assholes to me. I talked to them all privately about in summary all they really said is that they pay extra attention to me because I dress unprofessionally and, (I wear Bendavis and proclub). in middle school I was seen as a threat to admin with one reason being they way I dress and two because I'm a bigger kid so when I wanna defend my self I get treated as the aggressor, schools need to pay more attention to staff and the way they treat kids, in the picture above I was apparently supposed to write something when no other kid was and everyone was looking at the scene that my teacher was creating to embarrass me or something.

Question What do people do for birthday parties in hs?
I'm a sophomore and I didn't have a birthday party as a freshman bc of scheduling issues, and I'm hoping to do one this year. What do people usually do?? Is it usually more like big house parties or small get-togethers with friends? Obviously this varies a lot and people do different stuff, but what's most common?

Friend Advice Needed/Given How do I survive my school year?
I'm a sophomore, and I am in a situation where all the popular groups and cliques are already formed, and I am the odd one out because we have an odd number of people in my class.
Originally, I tried switching classes to be with a girl I know, but she said she ended up changing her mind and said no. The deadline for class changes has passed anyway, and the school does not accept any reasons for switching at this point.
I do have a friend in this class, but she is out and will not be back until mid-November at the earliest, and I don't have an exact date of when will she come back to school. Because of that, I am worried about upcoming group projects and how to handle them.
To add to it, there are two girls, let us call them T and V, who make the dynamic less difficult for me because they agree to be in a team with me but they don't really have the same hobbies as me and outside of class we have separate different friend group. To be clear, outside of class, I do have friends. It is only in class where I am on my own.
How do you cope with this? How do you manage group projects when you are the odd one out, and how do you survive sitting alone when everyone else is already in groups? (Good thing we are an odd number of ppl in my class. I have 2 classes with my friends either way. Im entirely on my own.)

School Related Is it normal to feel so drained?
I’m currently taking all advanced classes, and college courses too. However At this point I can’t find joy in my week. I do jrotc too for a PE credit. I have teachers that assign me the entire lecture to be done at home and she spends the entire class making us do random low grade worth assignments in class and ranting about her political opinions. With homework and the amount I get I feel so drained the weekends where I get to spend time with my family, I can’t because I need to do homework. I’m constantly working and I can barely find time to enjoy. I’m not switching out of Ap Precalc because I don’t have time to study and I’m failing the class because of it. And thanks to my zone my school district requires each student to have service hours in order to graduate. So I really don’t know if I’m being over dramatic or if it’s a real problem. I have good grades I’m a A and B student and I have a 4.3 weighted gpa.

Rant Feeling like I am behind
I haven’t had anyone to talk to about this but I am taking algebra 1 as a freshman I took honors 7th grade but signed a paper to leave the honors thingy so it that messed up my accelerated math path and I deeply regret it. I feel like I am behind I understand everything don’t get me wrong I have a A+ and I talked with my councilor what I can do to move ahead and he said I can take honors next semester but I didn’t ask what math class would I take, but I think it’s just honors algebra 1 and I still feel behind if I do take it because I see my friends in algebra 2 and integrated math 2 already and makes me feel like a idiot in the future I want to do something in stem probably engineering and I feel behind I have All A’s except in ceramics class I have a C but this is mostly about math I just feel so ashamed and please tell me what I can do to advance further

General Advice Needed/Given Is it weird to like being alone when having friends at school?
I’m a junior and just as the years have gone by the more I realized I don’t really want to hang around the people I have been, I feel like i’ve just been growing apart from everybody and for the past two years i’ve had friends where i sit with a lunch but literally don’t say a word, this year my lunch period has like nobody and i don’t really like forcing myself to sit with people i slightly know just so i’m not alone at lunch. Overall i feel like i’m growing further and further apart from my friends and while I still talk to them in class and outside of class i feel like being alone at lunch just makes me feel like i’m alone but i kind of want to be alone? i like being by myself but don’t like how other people see that and i don’t know what to do, i don’t want to look back in a few years and think about how i had no one to sit next to but now i would much rather go to the library and do homework or walk around the halls listening to music. this has turned longer than i had wanted it to but i want people my age to give me a truthful answer, ive just been really out of it recently especially with only two more years of school left and im just confused

Rant I've never done any organized sports and I feel bad asf
I'm in grade 10 (sophomore year in US).
Like NOTHING. Not even when in elementary school. I used to be a very anxious kid and I just felt very embarrassed every time I made a mistake so I just never did anything.
Now it's too late and I feel bad and useless

General Advice Needed/Given Created neuromuscular website as a project - need feedback
Hello everyone,
I am a high schoolers and I’ve just built the MVP for a web platform dedicated to neuromuscular diseases. The core goal of the project is to provide a clean, highly accessible, and structured interface for complex medical conditions that are often incredibly overwhelming for patients and families to navigate online.
I am asking you guys because I just want to see if this project has feasibility. Some of yall have amazing insight to these type of projects and/or have attempted this.
Current State of the MVP:
• Basic Functionality: The core framework, search/filtering, and navigation are live.
• Content: It currently maps out four distinct diseases. None of content is generated by AI. I know it is generic but that is the whole purpose. Lmk if this approach is flawed.
• The Goal: It is strictly in the development/validation phase right now.
What I’m looking for:
- Tech/UX Feedback: How can I improve the navigation, accessibility (crucial for neuromuscular patients), and data layout?
- Value Validation: Do you think a dedicated, simplified hub like this can deliver genuine impact compared to broad resources like WebMD or Wikipedia?
- Feature Ideas: What should I prioritize building next?
Note: Because Reddit's automated spam filters are quite aggressive with external links on developing projects, I have pinned the direct website link to the very top of my Reddit profile for anyone who wants to take a live look. I also put it in the comments.
Thank you so much for any critiques or suggestions!

Shitpost What's some of the wildest drama going on at your school rn?
Found a packaged condom last week that someone put under my windshield wiper while my car was parked out in the high school parking lot. That shit was disgusting, and worst of all, my dad was the one who found it 💀🙏

Class Advice Needed/Given should i drop a class?
so ive been struggling a lot with my ap physics 1 class and my teacher cant really teach and whenever i asked hes just telling me what is given and whats the formula to use from the question, he never really teaches us how to actually do it hes just introducing us a new topic, the definition, formula then give us some practice questions give us 3 minutes then show us answer, he never show us how to work it out step by step on a board, just straight up give us the answers. and im not the type student who can understand immediately, im not smart like that, and ive tried self-study almost everyday using most my time to study hard for this class, but the slides he gives us are only practice questions with his answers. and bcs every tests i had even after retakes i still get an F and my overall grade is D+, and im a senior so this is really ruining my whole gpa, and my director my academics wont let us drop a class bcs it's too late. are there any advices how to convince her to let me drop this class?

Question How to make friends as a transfer.
I’m a new sophomore and it’s been 3 months of being alone and literally having zero friends. Nobody knows who the fuck I am but there are really cool people in my classes and I know someone at my school on social media and we’ve had brief talks. He allowed me to sit at his lunch table but I chickened out so when I asked again he denied it and I just didn’t ask again after that. I don’t know how to just start because everybody is already in their groups and it’s already been three months. Am I just screwed?

Question Titre : Profil sénégalais (Éco + Technique comptable + DSC en cours) : quelles chances réelles d’admission directe en Master 1 CCA / CGAO via Campus France ?

Extracurriculars Should I try any sports in my Junior year of highschool.
I was never really good in any sports throughout my life, I played basketball and enjoyed that but when the players who started after me or with me surpassed me by a crazy margin and I started getting the title of being the worst one on the team, I started to just loose interest in basketball or any sport in general, I just started staying indoors but now that I'm in 11th grade now, idk what's happened but I wanna try a sport but I'm skeptical as I've never been good in any sport in my entire life so should I try out a sport or nah? And if yes which one should I try out?
People say I have an athletic body and I used to do calesthenics and I'm able to do a few calesthenics moves and I'm neither too skinny nor too fat.

Rant ASVAB Tomorrow
I did a little studying to get that general knowledge, but I heard that you shouldn't spend so much time studying past the basics because the whole point is to figure out what you're actually good at.
I might be fried because my seasonal allergies have been killing me for the last 4 days, and I was debating whether I should take another day off of school tomorrow (My parents said if it's super bad they would be fine (I've only left like 5 days over the last 3 years of high school due to doctor/legal things so they're fine. I'M NOT SKIPPING LIKE U BUMS), but now I don't got a choice.
Pray for me and wish me luck my friends.

General Advice Needed/Given I love highschool, what happens when it goes away?
I am aware that I am very fortunate and privileged to be able to have this take. I have this weird relationship with highschool. Being a senior in highschool is cool. I mean, I know that highschool is horrible. The education system is an atrocity, teachers don't get paid enough, societal pressures and stereotypes are reinforced, bullying, teacher vs student, abuse of admin etc. But despite that, it has brought me oppourtunities and structure and memories I will never forget. I am heavily involved, vice president of drama club, stage manager on our productions, I play the drums, I'm in a book club, in concert choir, taking AP courses, volunteering. I love staying busy. I have a crippling form of anxiety and it kicks my ass in the summer: where I lack structure. Self-provided structure is nowhere as good. I spent the first two years of highschool dicking around and it caught up with me. I wish I would have known what I know now, then. Anyway, I fear that the rest of my life I will spend missing highschool, despite some of the awful experiences it has left me with. I fear when I soon graduate, college won't provide that same structure, friends, and experiences. Anybody else feel/felt this way?
