I am shocked it’s so low, I thought while taking the test it would be atleast a 19, maybe a 22.. but 15?? yikes. I have over a 3.0 GPA so Hopefully that will let me get into my college of choice? Middle Tennessee state university? I also have a lot of certifications and experience in different things

I got this on my October SAT and I am devastated, now I have to take the ACT exam tomorrow and I haven’t studied for that at all, does anybody have any tips for what I should do right now or in the future?

Basically I took the act in july and june and in june I got sick mid test so I couldn't finish english and reading sections. Should I just cancel my score from june, would this be like unethical or against the rules if I want to apply to a school like mit that wants all scores? I took sat twice, once in freshman yr and once in jr year where I got a 1560 (800m 760R) .

Do u guys think they’ll reuse an enhanced December act form for the October one

I'm worried by ACT score won't come out in time for Early Action (Nov. deadline). I'm taking the October 18th one (first time taking the ACT), and I am not sure what I would do if I don't get my score in time. I took the SAT twice (1300 and 1320), but I've been getting REALLY promising results from ACT practice. I haven't been working on apps as much as I should, and my personal statement is barely started... if I lose all this time only to not even receive my score, I think I'll cry.

I registered for the december act. I'm having trouble finding the recourses to study for the ACT I thought that everything would be similar to the SAT but I cant find any free question banks or reliable youtubers. I dont mind spending money for recourses but Im not sure which ones are actually effective if you guys have any tips for would kindly share them with me. All the free ones I found were a trial or a section of their full course

I’ve already been accepted to the uni I wanted to attend with my full tuition paid. I got the same amount of money someone with a 36 on the act would get and a high gpa and academic rigor. My ACT score was horrible when I took it junior year. This year I’m taking on 3 more dual enrollment classes and I’ve had no time to study at all. Every week I have a lot of work to do and I don’t get it all done until Sunday. Then Monday comes along and the cycle restarts. My counselor told me to retake it both in October and December and to apply to the best University in the state afterwards. My family would not afford to take me to that school if I were to go. I got my full tuition paid at the second best school in my state already so I’m definitely going there. She expected me to do a full ACT course and tutoring as well but I never had time to. I go home and do my work for 4 hours at a time. My only free day is on a Saturday and I’m still doing some sort of work. I’m not a good test taker when I know I’m on a time crunch. I’m still horrified about the awful score I had the first time I took It and I have trouble sleeping because of it. At this point I just want to cancel it. I know for a fact that I’m not taking the December test though.
How accurate are the practice tests? I have my first and only ACT tomorrow and I just took the ACT Online Practice Test 1 on the website and thought it was incredibly easy. I got either a 35 or 36 on all the sections and was wondering how accurate this is to the actual test, it just seems way too basic and simple especially compared to the SAT. Also any last minute study tips appreciated!
If I’m 17, and a junior, and took it only once last year and made a 26, how many more times should I expect to take it to make above a thirty. I feel lucky to have made a 26, though during the rest I was surprised by how much simpler it was than I thought. let’s pray, and goodluck to everyone, I know that it isn’t guaranteed to make a 30+ no matter how many times but I just wanted to know yalls experiences. My scores are high In reading and writing (32 and 30) but my math and science really sucked( mainly science)

Am I allowed to bring and use 2 calculators on test day or am I limited to just 1?

First time taking act tomorrow, and I’ve heard from some people that everyone gets the same test (questions, order, etc). Is this true???

I have a 36 English, 36 math, 34 reading on the act and I’m aiming for schools like Vandy, Cornell, WashU (from a competitive HS).
I was thinking abt retaking the ACT tomorrow & taking the science section to hopefully bring my reading up but idk if it’s a waste of time and energy. How much do those colleges care about Reading & Science scores?

Hey gang - frustrated at how my scores can be all over the place. Practice tests I’m scoring 35 English almost all the time and reading I’m scoring mostly 33-36 but then sometimes 30-31. Real test got a 34 in English and 30 in reading.
My math is 33 and I’m happy with it.
Any tips?

Anyone take both and notice differences?

Taking the October test tomorrow and still don’t have my September results. Don’t think anyone who took K16 has them yet and it’s been almost a month since the test. College app deadline number 1 already passed too. Just zero urgency at all.

I put together two one-page ACT cheat sheets for the students I tutor and wanted to share them here for anyone who could use them.
English: 18 essential rules covering punctuation, grammar, and clear writing. Each rule includes an incorrect and correct example so you can see the difference.
Math: A formula reference covering algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and more.
Both are completely free PDF downloads—no email address or sign-up required. You can print them or keep them on your phone for quick review.
Download here: https://www.ohareacademy.com/free-act-resources
Feel free to message me with questions about any of the rules or formulas, or for advice on preparing for the ACT!

I got the score I wanted from September (33), and I wanted to take this one for science, but I was burned out and decided not to study because why the hell would I want to take it again. Should I cancel or just not show up?
