Since yesterday afternoon (10-21), suddenly I get Bad Pandas, even for the main flickr.com URL. Most are the generic "we're working on it" bad panda. But for the stats page, it's a slightly different image, and noting "request header or cookie too large". And for the email (flickr site messaging) page, it's just a blank white error screen with "400 Bad Request / Request Header Or Cookie Too Large".
Given the timing and suddeness and that this has never happened before, I assume this is related to the site responding to the PHP vulnerability mess.
But since DownDetector and Flickr's own status page show no widespread issues, I wonder if it's maybe just a limited side-effect... maybe my cache of cookies had grown large, and it was fine for the old settings, but now that they're screening out large incoming streams to protect their servers, the cookies get rejected? I thought maybe waiting it out for 24 hours would solve things, once they had everything patched.
If any Flickr staff is around who could chime in, I'd appreciate it. Or others experiencing similar issues. At some point I'll probably clear my cookies and try to log in fresh, but ideally I want to make sure that's the best option before the forced sign-out via wiping cookies.
Thanks!
EDITED TO ADD: Appreciate the silent upvotes, but what do they mean? Is this happening to others also, or are they just "moral support" upvotes? :)

Hello,
For the past 3 days, photos completely disappear from the screen instead of enlarging when clicked on Chrome.
The browser console shows a Content Security Policy (CSP) error: the domainhttps://[*.]gigya.com:443is being blocked because Flickr's CSP allowlist doesn't include it.
Since my browser clears site data on exit, Flickr tries to reload the Gigya authentication scripts at every new session, causing the click function to crash completely.
Could a staff member please ask the technical team to update the CSP directives to allow Gigya? Thanks!

Been trying to open and it does not work for at least few hours. Tried clearing cookies in the browser and didn't work.

Can anyone steer me in the direction of any Flickr users shooting on film I should be following?
Hi r/flickr. I posted Photo Stream Assistant here a while ago, the Mac app I built to manage my own Flickr library (bulk edits, tag renaming, backups, stats). Your feedback shaped a lot of it, so here is what the last versions added.
1.6: the Mac looks at your photos
About the AI part, since people will ask: it all runs on the Mac with Apple's own frameworks (Vision, and Apple Intelligence's on-device model). No photo is sent anywhere, there's no account, no subscription and no per-photo cost, and nothing is written to Flickr until you've reviewed it.
1.6.1: mostly from someone who tested it hard
1.5, which I never posted here
The app is free to download and works without paying: browsing, the map, stats, backup of 25 photos per run, and bulk edits, downloads and suggestions ten photos at a time. A one-time Pro Unlock (not a subscription) removes the limits and adds Insights, Library health, Places and album curation.
Mac App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/photo-stream-assistant/id6759663701?mt=12
Website, with a page per feature and how-to guides: https://my-flickr-assistant.monier.tv
As before, I read everything here: bugs, missing features, things that annoy you.

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone else has an issue with their top bar? Sometimes it just breaks for no reason. Is there a fix for this?
r/flickr • u/DragonspeedTheB • 10d ago
It sure would be nice if the app allowed you to scroll around panorama photos like you can when you view them on a web browser. Without it, they look kind of doofy.
Example: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dragonspeed/55586354058/in/dateposted-public/
Also - What the heck happened to the quality of the image in panorama mode on the web... Ugh. 🤔

I'm primarily an analogue shooter, I’ve had a sneaking suspicion for a while that I have more success with some film/camera combinations than others, so I wrote some python to run some analytics on my Flickr albums. I put each photo in a camera, lens, & film specific album so by cross-referencing between them I’ve been able to come up with how many photos were taken with each film and lens combination, like this:
…
Kentmere 200
Fuji GS645S: 4
Rolleicord Vb: 2
Fuji GW690III: 2
Kentmere 400
Nikon FM + Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 Ai-S (long nose): 3
Nikon FM + Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai-S: 2
Kodak Ektar 100
Hasselblad 503cx + Carl Zeiss Planar 2.8/80 T*: 3
Bronica GS-1 + Zenzanon-PG 100mm f/3.5: 2
Rolleicord Vb: 1
Kodak Gold 200
Leica M6 + Voigtländer Ultron VM 28mm f/2: 8
Fuji GS645S: 7
Pentax MX + SMC Pentax-M 40mm f/2.8: 6
Bronica ETRSi + Zenzanon-PE 40mm f/4: 6
Fuji GW690III: 6
Olympus OM-2n + Zuiko 50mm f/1.4 (silver nose): 5
Rolleicord Vb: 5
Bronica GS-1 + Zenzanon-PG 100mm f/3.5: 5
Nikon FM + Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai-S: 4
Bronica ETRSi + Zenzanon EII 75mm f/2.8: 4
Bronica ETRSi + Zenzanon MC 150mm f/3.5: 4
Olympus OM-2n + Zuiko 28mm f/2.8: 3
Hasselblad 503cx + Carl Zeiss Distagon 50mm f/4 CF FLE: 3
Leica M6 + Voigtländer Ultron VM 35mm f/2: 3
Nikon FM + Nikkor 50mm f/2 Ai: 2

Last 2y bill for pro was 100 dollars, but yesterday I got the new one of 170, which I find an enormous difference.
Is it only me or is it a move to loose users?
I've been a supporter during the dark years of Yahoo ownership. I think Flickr doesn't need my money anymore.

I have a pro account (not because I’m a pro, but because I’m an over-sharer).
Anyway, after the fiasco of the dreadful ‘update’ everything seemed to be working as it should for a while - and I could download my pics again.
But the last few days, I’ve not been able to do it. I just get the following alert.
r/flickr • u/GabbyPotlucky • 15d ago
Hi, so any files that were uploaded to flikr as .png are now stored as .jpg files. I just uploaded a .png and sure enough, it appears in flikr immediately upon upload as a .jpg also. Anybody know why or have this issue themselves?
This is a free account, if it matters. I was a premium account holder but let it lapse back to a free account while recovering from hip surgery.

When I'm searching for new photographers, I will start with Explore, and if I find a good photograph, I will check other photos from the photographer. I will check his/her photostream (but this may not always be their best since it is chronological), then the about page, then the albums list. And last, I'll check if they have "good" taste by checking their faves and may continue from there to check other photostreams.
I will also check people who fave my pictures.
Do you have a better way? How do you go about it?

I’ve used my Flickr Pro acct for years to back up my camera roll, but I would love to bulk delete photos like accidental photos, screenshots, edits etc. Is there a way to do this? I just find the interface really challenging when it comes to organizing or tasks like this

First time in almost 20 years I've had this appear and quite surprised honestly. No pics of a "sexual" nature e.g., PIV, manipulating genitalia. etc.,
Any ideas? I'm going through all 11k plus photos that "may" be sexual (I do have a few nude model shots I've taken at various events and zero of the ladies operated "pink" and no toys, etc.,
I responded to the Content team to review the account and provide a link to the offending image/vids but have no idea how long that takes to respond.
Anyone go through this? How long did it take as I use this account for personal and commercial use for sharing and now it's inactive except to me.

Photos not loading on Flickr. Have tried Chrome and Firefox on the web, and the app on my iPhone. I sent a support request to Flickr. Flickr Status showing everything fine. Anyone else having this problem? I'm on the East Coast of the US.

Why does the MODE link still appears at the top of Flickr pages? Is anyone actually still clicking on that link to warrant its continued existence?

Hi! I’m new to Flickr and I’m having a problem with my first uploads. I uploaded several JPEG photos. Flickr appears to have received the photos, and they show up in my Photostream. When I click on one, Flickr displays the correct EXIF/camera information.
However, the photos themselves won't display. I only see blank boxes/broken image icons, as shown in the screenshot.
I’ve tried a hard refresh and also checked Flickr on my phone, but the images are broken there too, so it doesn’t seem to be specific to my browser or computer. I also tried uploading a couple of different JPEGs and got the same result. Am I missing something here? Thanks!

Not sure if it’s just me, but lately I noticed that when viewing and zooming in on my own high resolution images (I’m Pro) in lightbox mode on my desktop Mac (Safari), they are taking much longer to load the high-res version, like 20-30 seconds. The lightbox zoomed in version starts at the top and slowly works it way down to the bottom. I didn’t used to see this, so I’m not sure if it’s my set-up or something going on with Flickr? Anybody else notice this? Any ideas?

I have a couple of collections of various albums that I access on laptop by going to albums and then it’s one of the options to view.
However, I can’t see this on mobile.
Anyone know how to access it?
Thanks.

Update: 1.6 is out, with tag and title suggestions on the Mac, album merging, smarter duplicate checks on upload and downloads at any size. Details in a new post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/flickr/comments/1x86kpc/photo_stream_assistant_16_for_mac_tag_and_title/
Update, Oct 13: 1.5.0 is out. You can now select several photos on every screen (your feed, Explore, groups, galleries, favorites) and act on them from one bar. Every bulk change shows a progress bar and ends by saying how many photos changed, how many were already there, and why Flickr refused the rest. Tag fields suggest the tags you already use. Uploads start at your Flickr default privacy instead of Public and flag files already on Flickr. Stats and Insights got Flickr’s own charts back, faves and comments per day included, and Activity no longer misses faves. A new History screen lists every change the app made on Flickr. 1.5 is in review: one-click faves, your groups’ recent uploads, person pages and group discussions, and a screen that finds which of your photos made Explore.
Hi all,
A few weeks ago some of you tried my Mac app for managing big Flickr libraries, and a lot of you told me what was wrong with it. Thank you. Version 1.4.3 went live on the Mac App Store today, and most of what changed came from your comments and from one very long email from a user.
Why I made it: I've been on Flickr since 2005, Pro since 2012, and my library is about 138,000 photos. Flickr's website is lovely for looking at photos and painful for keeping that many in order. I wanted bulk edits, tags I can rename everywhere, a real backup, and some idea of what people actually look at.
What's new since 1.3.5:
- Upload no longer gives up when one file fails, shows each file's progress, and won't send a photo twice
- Selection works like the Finder: click, shift-click, double-click to open
- The same tools on every screen: select photos anywhere and you get the same bar (details, privacy, albums, groups, location, delete)
- Library health finds suspicious dates and likely duplicates, and you fix photos straight from the list
- Numbered titles: Paris_### becomes Paris_001, Paris_002...
- One progress notice for bulk changes, and it only says done when it's really done
- A photo's details show its groups and albums, and can add it to several albums at once
- Setup is clearer about which password is the app's and which is Flickr's
Someone here asked me last week how much of this is AI, and it's a fair question, so here it is up front: I build the app with an AI coding assistant (Claude Code). I decide what goes in and test everything on my own library, but the AI writes most of the code. There's no AI inside the app. It only talks to Flickr, and to Apple if you buy Pro, and your photos and keys stay on your Mac.
It's free to try, with a one-time Pro unlock, no subscription. You need your own Flickr API key, and Flickr only gives those to Pro accounts. There's a step-by-step guide on the site.
Honestly, posting here again makes me a bit nervous. The last round was humbling, and it made the app much better. If something annoys you, tell me. That's how half of this got built.

I don't think I'm nearly close to be a good photographer but it's weird some of my ordinary photos get 200+ faves and the one I consider my best ever got only 28 faves.
Is it me or is it people around?
This is my best one http://flic.kr/p/KgB69
What do you think, is it a stupid question? Do I have bad taste in photography? What makes us stop for a photograph, and what makes us stay with it?
r/flickr • u/Angelia_the_Nephalem • 21d ago
What do you guys think about it, that you can't download your own image in the original size? Imagine you lost your photos for some reason, and you must be a Flickr Pro to get your OWN photos back. I don't know about it, but in my opinion, this isn't right and unfair. Not even Deviantart does that method.
Anyone know if you can remove an inactive account/member from a group who is also an admin, even though their account has been inactive for a long time?
I know that you can boot everyone else out delete the photos and leave the group thereby effectively deleting it, but I was hoping there was another way?
