Hey all!

So my little hobby project the last week or so, has been hacking on the Godox C100 firmware, patching it to shrink the pictures it takes, dither, and apply retro color palettes. Here's some of the results :D I think this is now my new favorite camera haha :P

I saw on here that it was world toy camera day so I went out to take some shots with my G6 and G10. I've honestly had a really crappy week and it was nice to have an excuse to get out today and go on a little adventure. It wasn't a particularly nice sunset but I still had a great time watching it and snapping photos.

The first 4 pictures are from the G6 and the rest are from the G10.

Is this a camera that has enough charm to be a toy camera? Universally derided upon release, but it might have been marketed too seriously and fallen short of Canon's own hype.

Hi there, I impulse-bought the Bauhn vintage camera from Aldi and I'm here asking if you have some tips, recommendations, customisations etc.

The worst thing is the annoying sounds it makes when turning on/off and the talking voice every time you change filter settings. Is there a way to adjust volume?

I was also wondering if there's some custom firmware to add/change the available filters and so on. I bet it's also available under other brands/names with different features 🤔

Came out pretty sick

Ok so I put the I'm back35 on one of my holga 135s and decided to do a side by side comparison. I used my car as it was an easy subject to photograph. Now the holga digital I haven't used since probably 2016 and I was blown away by the quality of the image yet the second image with the im back just looks nostalgic and old. What does the community think

Flashback camera (v2)

Picked up a Instax Pal 2 kinda impulsively this morning while out and about in Sydney, opened it in a park and immediately started trying to figure things out. Pretty happy with the look of the shots - just shot internal, and the transfer is capped at 1mp until they update it, but seems very promising. Looking forward to a few more fun adventures with this cam, I love the size and weight compared to other cameras I've tried.

i thought that it is just chucao knokoff but the photos are nicer than i thought! only problem i had was the viewfinder is square, but the final photo is rectangular, which is quite annoying(you dont get the final image in the viewfinder!)

This took forever to build, but it’s self contained, and imo my finest work to date :’)

Camera is built from Chuzhao “Loopy Peace” print camera, using @getcircuitbent’s “easy mode glitch cam” ribbon cable. Small potentiometers on top are “Model 91” in 2k and 500 ohms, two in front are more standard-sized ones (placed there also to protect the sensor from drops).

Hiiiii, I had an idea for a Telegram bot and wanted to see if anyone here would actually find it useful.

Basically, it would keep an eye on different websites and send you a message when film, cameras or lenses show up at a good price.

You could set your own preferences, like which film stocks or camera models you're looking for and how much you want to spend.

Would you use something like this? And are there any particular websites you'd want it to check?

Just trying to see if it's worth building.

What's everyone going to be shooting?

Really loving this little camera. I took this as my only camera to Japan last summer, and it was a lot of fun seeing how these turned out.

I bought the Godox C100 because it seemed like a fun toy camera. But when it arrived, I found the shutter sound was so annoying that I wanted to hack the speaker out. Halfway the process of opening the camera though, I realized that although I'm not that much of a firmware tinkerer myself, AI could probably do this way easier, programmatically...

Before I knew it, some hours later, we had patched the firmware to not only remove the annoying audio (with a brief intermezzo of playing Super Mario sounds instead, until my roommate told me to please stop making the sounds so she could go to sleep) ... the camera was now also taking pixelated, dithered black and white pictures instead! Next came the retro color palettes, video recording, and cycling through the settings, now also displayed on screen.

What do I do wrong? These light strips in my images are not the quirky effect I expected to come from my Holga 120n. I turn the film until I see the next number in the middle of the little red compartment on the back, take a picture, repeat. Is the camera a desaster?
