THE ESTRANGED, my new independent comic is available right now on Kickstarter.

"After 13 years away, Heather returns to the hometown where she was once accused of murder. She's hoping to rebuild her life and reconnect with a lost love.

But when bodies start turning up, old suspicions resurface… and something sinister begins to awaken".

A sapphic horror thriller for mature readers.

32 pages of dark secrets, murder, lost love, and creeping dread.

3rd Liquid Charcoal experiment

I’m totally into this new (to me) material, actually sought out comic book pro Viktor Farro at NYComicCon last week whose YouTube demo convinced me to switch brand and get more experimental - he does amazing work!

This is a one-armed, headless Terminator-style endoskeleton discovering a gigantic robotic head In a desert…I actually set up a still-life with a 3D printed head I have to draw this from life as much as possible.

I want to do more drawings reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s Sci-Fi magazine covers I admired as a kid.

Grab a copy at my publishers website:
https://markosia.com/2026/10/16/grinding-against-the-marrow-out-now/

It’s Halloween. All the ghouls are out! We’re stuck in the small-minded town of Marrow with Soma, an all action, homeless Muslim of minimal words. Shes hunted by packs of mask-wearing youths, and corrupt cops. But she’s also got one particular skill that makes her formidable: parkour free running!

Drawn by my amazing artist Mauro De Falco! I’ve also had a quote from the incredible GARTH ENNIS who enjoys my work.

Hi! I wanted to show the art by Matias De Vincenzo for my post-apocalyptic comic book, The Day Everything Changed Issue 2.

We are running a Kickstarter campaign Oct. 27-Nov. 24 for this issue. You can visit the prelaunch page and hit the "Notify me on launch" button to get an early bird discount as soon as the campaign starts. We will also have copies of Issue 1 incase you're just joining us.

Written by: Lane Fortenberry
Art by: Matias De Vincenzo
Letters by: Marina Leon

From the campaign: Experience the comic book adaptation of the hit post-apocalyptic audio drama that reached over 200,000 downloads from Riffage Media.

The Day Everything Changed #2 picks up right where #1 left off with John and Sarah's frightfully unexpected introduction of hardened mother Tessa and her daughter Olivia. The two broken families navigate trust, uncertainty, deadly scavengers and "Sick" in their search for a home among the apocalyptic ruins of Northeastern United States.

Dedicated listeners of the audio drama can expect new scenes, new dialogue and new action over four planned issues that will cover the first season of the show. Witness the complete visualization of the story that has only been told in an audio format. Haven't listened yet? Check it out wherever you get your podcasts.

Make Tragedy Vibrant: Color Work For ‘The Children’s Friend’

Post image

Hey everyone! I’m also a colorist from time to time and happy to share this comparison spread from the first pages from ‘The Children’s Friend’ by both the talented Fraser in the script and Brian Balondo in the art.

Colorwork itself is a beautiful task I carry on with by accompanying those others who develop what I usually do foreground, that’s either illustrating commission work or writing self-owned projects. I wouldn’t say it’s easier but it’s actually helpful to gain a different perspective of what I do as an illustrator and also diminishes the ego a little by growing a side skill.

Hopefully I’ll have many similar experiences in the future for I’m beyond grateful at this point to keep on encountering such nice teams to be part of.

To see more previous projects, my portfolio and contact info are in the comments.

Thanks!

I came across a indie comic called "Gonad The Ballbarian" and thought it was a killer concept and comic. So I did this fan piece inspired by Frank Frazetta's 'Death Dealer'
