Make Tragedy Vibrant: Color Work For ‘The Children’s Friend’
Hey everyone! I’m also a colorist from time to time and happy to share this comparison spread from the first pages from ‘The Children’s Friend’ by both the talented Fraser in the script and Brian Balondo in the art.
Colorwork itself is a beautiful task I carry on with by accompanying those others who develop what I usually do foreground, that’s either illustrating commission work or writing self-owned projects. I wouldn’t say it’s easier but it’s actually helpful to gain a different perspective of what I do as an illustrator and also diminishes the ego a little by growing a side skill.
Hopefully I’ll have many similar experiences in the future for I’m beyond grateful at this point to keep on encountering such nice teams to be part of.
To see more previous projects, my portfolio and contact info are in the comments.
Thanks!

3rd Liquid Charcoal experiment
I’m totally into this new (to me) material, actually sought out comic book pro Viktor Farro at NYComicCon last week whose YouTube demo convinced me to switch brand and get more experimental - he does amazing work!
This is a one-armed, headless Terminator-style endoskeleton discovering a gigantic robotic head In a desert…I actually set up a still-life with a 3D printed head I have to draw this from life as much as possible.
I want to do more drawings reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s Sci-Fi magazine covers I admired as a kid.

GRiNDING AGAINST THE MARROW! A graphic novel release!
Grab a copy at my publishers website:
https://markosia.com/2026/10/16/grinding-against-the-marrow-out-now/
It’s Halloween. All the ghouls are out! We’re stuck in the small-minded town of Marrow with Soma, an all action, homeless Muslim of minimal words. Shes hunted by packs of mask-wearing youths, and corrupt cops. But she’s also got one particular skill that makes her formidable: parkour free running!
Drawn by my amazing artist Mauro De Falco! I’ve also had a quote from the incredible GARTH ENNIS who enjoys my work.

Art for upcoming The Day Everything Changed Issue 2 by Matias De Vincenzo
Hi! I wanted to show the art by Matias De Vincenzo for my post-apocalyptic comic book, The Day Everything Changed Issue 2.
We are running a Kickstarter campaign Oct. 27-Nov. 24 for this issue. You can visit the prelaunch page and hit the "Notify me on launch" button to get an early bird discount as soon as the campaign starts. We will also have copies of Issue 1 incase you're just joining us.
Written by: Lane Fortenberry
Art by: Matias De Vincenzo
Letters by: Marina Leon
From the campaign: Experience the comic book adaptation of the hit post-apocalyptic audio drama that reached over 200,000 downloads from Riffage Media.
The Day Everything Changed #2 picks up right where #1 left off with John and Sarah's frightfully unexpected introduction of hardened mother Tessa and her daughter Olivia. The two broken families navigate trust, uncertainty, deadly scavengers and "Sick" in their search for a home among the apocalyptic ruins of Northeastern United States.
Dedicated listeners of the audio drama can expect new scenes, new dialogue and new action over four planned issues that will cover the first season of the show. Witness the complete visualization of the story that has only been told in an audio format. Haven't listened yet? Check it out wherever you get your podcasts.

Indie FanArt
I came across a indie comic called "Gonad The Ballbarian" and thought it was a killer concept and comic. So I did this fan piece inspired by Frank Frazetta's 'Death Dealer'

Hi. I draw a lot of 80's and 90's comic art. HGhost Rider. Drawn by me (with great respect to Javier Saltares). Hope you like it.
The main of Ghost Rider was drawn in pencil on paper. I drew the background, the bike, as well as the flames and the rest of the spikes in photoshop, where I inked and colored the piece. All vintage colors and textures were done via Debaser by TrueGrit.

YULE Volume 2 is the frightening folklore anthology you've been waiting for!
Yule. Geol. Weihnachten. Winter Solstice.
Before the soda drinking bears, before the bright red suit, and before the litany of saccharine films & music that saturate every holiday season, there was cold and night and fear.
The award-nominated collection of short horror comics returns to examine Yule, Winter Solstice, Jacob Marley, and a slew of other terrifying folklore from around the world, from well-known tales of the Mouse King to the lesser-known Kukeri, and all the bizarre traditions in between.
Don't stand idle, back YULE Vol 2 today! Just in time for spooky season, being delivered by Christmas. Whether as to extend the month of fright, or just to make your holy night even less so.
Contributing to this book is an all-star lineup of talent, with each team producing tight-and-terrorizing tales based on 16 different pieces of worldwide folklore:
Jacob Marley - Dillon Gilbertson & Zack Traum
Pére Fouettard - Lesly Julien & Minerva Fox
Werewolves - Ian Mondrick & Frederik Hornung
Nisse - Fellhound & AHG
The Grither - Kat Baumann
Mouse King - u/alairebowen
Yule Cat - Casper Binnett
Joulupukki - Christa "Cabbage" Harader & Han Seelie
Carnival of Mumathones - Morrocco
Kukeri - Sierra Barnes
Saint Knut's Day - David "DB" Andry & Desolina Greigo
Tschaggatta - Don Cardenas
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight - Grant Stoye & Heather Vaughan
La Befana - Amy Chase & Alex Schlitz

Outerspace Whispered ‘Noir’: New Advance From Short Film Project.
Hi there all! How’s your week going?
I’ve actually been working on a sci-fi short film project for a while now along with CC Cynan, being the time to showcase my favourite storyboarding from it.
I definitely appreciate the experience of exploring abandoned worlds where I’m summoned to illustrate isolation and desperate silence under my own criteria.
Stay tuned for the frameshots’ black and white, for sci fi is ‘the’ match to noir.
For more previous works, my portfolio and contact info are in the bio description.
Thanks!

Being told to dial back the cliche of my characters first victim’s creepiness. I’m pretty happy with it, I was watching spawn while drawing all the different sketches. What do you think?
It’s not ai generated. My character is being forced to be an assassin for the devil (MalDeus) and this is his first hit.
I guess it’s a little cliche but I think it’s pretty good and it’s fairly easy to sketch up pretty quickly…
