Repair Help 22 equinox rs 1.5t fwd oil change question
Does it really only take 4.2 quarts of 0w20 full synthetic? This will be my first time changing the oil myself and I’ve been led to believe it only takes 4.2 quarts. I’ve never had a vehicle that took less than five so just double checking. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Discussion Car and Driver’s 2028 Camaro rumor report — V8 power, Alpha 2 platform, and a potential 4-door body style. Thoughts?
Car and Driver recently published a report regarding the potential return of the 7th gen Chevrolet Camaro. According to the report, GM might build the new Camaro on an updated Alpha 2 platform alongside Cadillac sedans, offering both 2-door coupe and 4-door options while keeping a high-output V8 engine option alive.

How do you feel about Chevy expanding the Camaro badge to include a 4-door model alongside the coupe? Do you think keeping a V8 in the lineup is the right strategy against Mustang and Dodge Charger?

Discussion 1996 Caprice B-Body with an LS1 Swap.
Hey everyone! I'm looking for some general insights on swapping an LS1 into a 1996 Chevy Caprice.
Setting the cooling/hot-weather issues aside for a moment, what are the community's general thoughts on this swap?
How do the pros (like ditching the Optispark, weight savings, and aftermarket support) weigh against the headaches?
What are the main mechanical hurdles (like transmission/bellhousing fitment, custom oil pans, wiring, and headers)?
Would love to hear from anyone who has tackled or seen this build. Is it worth the effort compared to keeping the stock setup or building an LT1? Thanks!

Discussion Help if you can I’m confused.
I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado c1500 5.7l
I had the head gasket replaced about a year ago and probably driven her 6 times in between then and now.
Each time I’ve driven her she’s burning oil through the exhaust and some dripping at the exhaust just behind the block.
Mechanic that performed the job told me it’s just residue from the job but idk … I’m not losing any oil according to the dipstick.. what do yall think?

Repair Help Fluid leak from where?
I have a 2007 Saab 9-7x which is basically a 2007 Chevy trailblazer
I recent notice fluid dripping from the bottom and took a look under and found the spot it’s coming from. I don’t even know the name of the piece, but any ideas of where, why, what’s dripping.

Choose this because it's Wednesday Service for Software Update - Nothing was done?
I recent brought my 2024 1500 into a service center because I had seen there was a recently release for the infotainment center software and I had never had updated it before.
The infotainment did not allow OTA updates, check for updates was greyed out and said to contact dealer.
I was at the dealer for almost 3 hours at which point I asked him if there was a status. He claimed that the updated did not take and they had to do a "global reset" which was finishing and at that point they said they would try again. At 3 hours, I felt like more progress would have been made and I questioned that it felt like nothing was actually happening to the car. The service person became EXTREMELY defensive and unprofessional. Mind you my tone was not raised or stern just curious.
I asked for a ride back to my place because I couldn't wait what could have been another 2 hours or more. While waiting for the ride, the service person said they were going to bring the car around because all they need to do is send GM an email to reset the VIN for the update queue and that it should trigger it.
When i got into the truck, the profile, bluetooth pairing and everything was still present, so no "global or factory reset" happened. It felt like my truck had no service performed.
Now two days later, the check for updates is still greyed out with the same message.
Does this sound like they did nothing? What SHOULD have happened?

Repair Help 2023 Chevrolet Spin Active 7 1.8 Automatic – Is my transmission a 6T30 or 6T31? Need help identifying a 14-pin connector
Hi everyone!
I own a 2023 Chevrolet Spin Active 7 with a 1.8L engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
I’m trying to replace the external electrical connector on the transmission because its locking tabs are broken. I found a 14-pin connector on AliExpress advertised as compatible with GM 6T30, 6T40, and 6T45 transmissions. I also found a wiring connector listed for the 6T30/6T31.
Can anyone confirm which transmission is fitted to the 2023 Chevrolet Spin Active 7 1.8 automatic: the GM 6T30 or the 6T31?
Has anyone replaced this connector on a Chevrolet Spin or a similar GM vehicle? How can I confirm the correct connector and part number before ordering?
I would really appreciate any advice or links to the correct part.
Thanks!

Discussion 2012 Impala Radio Upgrade
Hi everyone, I have a 2012 Impala with a replacement JVC radio which I despise (PO installed it). It's been bugging me a while but now I'm finally getting around to do something about it. I want to get one of those replacement touchscreen radios with Android Auto, and I can get one relatively cheap since I work at O'Reilly. Is there a specific size or mount kit I need to look for?
I've also been looking for a 1998-2011 Ford Ranger. Would a replacement radio for the Impala fit the Ranger? I'm reluctant to spend tons of money on something I can't transfer to a different vehicle.

Discussion L87 Recall - paid cash for Tahoe and now we're getting juiced.
Paid cash for a 2021 Tahoe High Country, engine let go two weeks ago still under warranty. Dealer says they have no timeline on an engine replacement, and they dont have any loaners. Called the crybaby line at GM and they suggested we RENT a car and maybe they might pick up some of the bill later. You have to be kidding me.
Anyone have any other avenues for making this right? My wife has an ailing mom and has to drive across town a few times a day. Now its snowing, so walking or biking isn't an option. What are we supposed to do here?

Repair Help 2020 Chevy Blazer
Good evening, everyone
My wife and I am our child. Just took a trip from Bismarck, North Dakota to Minneapolis Minnesota. It was about six hours. However, while we were there, I noticed that we were getting the “steer assist is off drive with care” error message. I didn’t know about this relating to a faulty thermostat or sensor, but while we were driving, I was confused as to why the car was not blowing cold air. It would blow hot air no issue. Check engine light never came on. We drove 6 hours like this.
We got home and chilled for a little bit and then we drove to Sam’s Club, which is roughly about a five minute drive from our house and then back home. I wanted to check and noticed that the coolant level was super low, and the picture will be attached.
I’m a little bit nauseous about what to do here and the cost of repair for a potential radiator leak or even a thermostat or sensor repair. I’ve seen estimates from around $250 up to $12,000. Does anyone know about this issue and if so, what did it take to fix it?
