Seeking Success Please Give Me Hope :(

I just need to feel like it’ll happen. There have been 6 babies announced or born in our family/close friends just this year, and I’m older than all these women too (30). We’ve been trying since last October. I started Zepbound in February, and went from 206lbs to 160lbs. I started having regular cycles around June, but still nothing*. I’ve been on metformin, prenatals, inositol, and vitamin D the whole time. I’m about a week late, but still negative. I did stop the inositol last cycle because it’s expensive and I wasn’t sure it was working. I’ve started taking it again because of my late period. At one point I was using Inito tracking to see if I ovulated, and it said I did. I stopped using it because I assumed with one ovulating cycle AND regular cycles, I must be ovulating like normal now. When I finally start my period again, I’m going to track with Inito again to see if I ovulate. Tomorrow I’m going to call my gyno to get started on letrozole and get a timeline. I’m dreading my friend’s baby shower in November. She’s always been pretty tone deaf about my struggles with pcos, even outside of babies. I can’t look at my 3 new nieces without hating myself, and I don’t want to be this way.

Can someone tell me I’ll get there? I’m so tired of crying every day and the disappointment of seeing these negative tests for a whole year.

*I know it’s not recommended by all doctors to TTC on GLP-1.

Advice Needed What male factors make an IUI worth it or not?

• Upvotes

I’m 36, ovulatory PMOS with acne and high AFC. Been trying for 7 cycles, 3 of with leterazole + Ovidrel + progesterone. My last cycle I ovulated 3 eggs but still not luck. I’m debating trying one IUI before moving into an IVF in the new year but it is costly and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it.

My husbands DNA frag is 5.44% and he’s completed 2 sperm analysis (one in July, one in mid September). His total concentration and count is high both times (159M+) but his morphology on the first was 2%, second 1%, and progressive motility dropped from 38.5% to 28.1%. He’s been using supplements and made lots of lifestyle changes but his dad passed away and I’m not sure if stress impacts, but I was suprised to see such a drop in progressive motility. The docs have been less concerned because of his high total count.

Do people think between my PMOS and his factors at least one round of IUI is worth it?

TWW/Symptom Spotting Weekly Thread - October 18, 2026

• Upvotes

In the TWW? Here's your place to post all things symptom spotting and making it through the TWW. Feel free to connect with others on similar timelines, and discuss anything related to the TWW. Please do not ask if you could be pregnant, as only a test and a doctor can answer that for you.

Seeking Success High amh and monitored cycles?

• Upvotes

Hello ladies, for start I am 29, amh is 18, 21 bmi (lean pcos), been trying for 8 month, and I have been diagnosed with pcos since I was 20. Last October I stopped my birth control and periods have been irregular ( last couple od months have been consisted around 37 days, and I sometimes ovulate on my own). Last cycle I did sono hsg and everything was clear, and I started 2.5mg of letrozol this cycle. I was wondering did anyone have success with this high amh without a trigger shot (my doctor didn’t mention anything so far about that) and in general how was your journey with letrozol, how many cycles did you try. I am also taking thyroid medication, inositol, vitamin d and omega. Thank you! 🩷

Seeking Success Letrozol + trigger + metformin + progesterone, give me some hope !

Currently on my first letrozol monitored cycle.
Have been ttc for 15 months now, got pregnant twice but had one mc week 5 and one mmc week 10 after seeing a heartbeat in February. Nothing since then.
I’ve got diagnosed with pmos while testing the rpl panel. I do ovulate on my own, normally around cd 17-20.
My doctor put me on metformin 2000mg in August, did endometritis screening (results still to come) and started me on letrozol 2,5mg.
I’m supposed to trigger tomorrow.
Please give me some hope for this. I don’t even know if my fear for another mc or my fear of not getting pregnant anymore is bigger at this point. Since we’ve started trying, 90% of my friends got pregnant (ofc all first try or not trying at all). Both my due dates have passed and I’m about to have to go see my SIL being pregnant with twins and “finally giving the family some grandchildren”.
I’m so scared nothing will work and I’ll be damned to be in this vicious cycle forever..

TTC advice

Good morning!

We have been trying for a child since February. Last month I started ovulation tests and temperature measurement in order to better understand my body, because I have a cycle of about 35 days with fluctuations (30-40 sometimes).

last month I had a positive ovulation test on the 24th day of my cycle.

The temperatures were as follows:

24th 36.1

25th 36.2

26th 36.4

27th 36.6

28th 36.4

29th 36.6

30th 36.3

31st 36.4

32nd 36.3

33rd 36.4

34th 36 and late in the evening my period came (luteal phase 9-10 days)

In this cycle I had a positive ovulation test on the 21st day of the cycle and temperatures:

21st 36.4

22nd 36.1

23rd 36.6

24th 36.5

25th (today) 36.1

I have the following questions:

  1. Is it possible that I did not ovulate in this cycle?

  2. Is a 9-10 day luteal phase a deterrent to conception?

I should note that I have been taking myo-inositol since June 22nd to improve ovulation and the cycle, but I still don't know if it is effective.

Thank you in advance!

BBT and ovulation

Hello everyone. I am so desperate.

14/10 I had a positive LH test (temperature 36,4). 15/10 36,1 , 16/10 36,6 , 17/10 36,5 and today 18/10 36,1.

What is going on? I feel helpless

Discussion BBT for dummies?

BBT?

Hi all— I’m super duper new to all of this. We’re having secondary infertility. I was able to conceive my first two kids by just “going with the flow” and my youngest is three… we’ve done unprotected baby dancing for years in hopes it would happen again, but just hasn’t and we’re ready to have another.

Can someone explain BBT to me like I’m 5? I understand how OPKs work. I definitely don’t ovulate regularly and have started Ovasitol about a week ago.

I got my period just recently and am on CD2. I get my period about every 29-38 days or so. Very give or take on what my body decides it wants to do.

Seeking Success Staying positive after failed medicated cycles

I just finished my 2nd medicated and monitored cycle of letrozole. This cycle looked very positive, I had 3 mature follicles (24mm, 18mm, & 18mm). Uterine lining was thick and progesterone looked great on it own. Went through the two week wait and just got my negative with my period arriving the next day. How do you stay positive and keep going after everything went right but the cycle still failed? How many medicated cycles until you were successful?

Starting TTC next week with PCOS and endo. Scared and just looking for good vibes ✨

So happy to have found a community for me. I’m 23 and have PCOS and endo.

As far as PCOS goes, I have high follicle count, 6.8amh, and very irregular cycles (100-200 days). My hormone levels are normal as well as normal CD3 labs, prolactin, BMI, no hirsutism.

In terms of endo, I had laparoscopic surgery with an endo specialist a few weeks ago. They found one 0.5-1mm endo lesion on my rectal area but did not excise it due to bleeding risk. They called it “stage 0.5 endo.” Tubes looked good.

Now I’m starting 2.5mg Letrozole medicated cycles next week. I pray it works….

Both my paternal aunts had endo and failed Clomid and IVF in the 1990s. My dad was the only one to have kids of the three siblings. My mother’s family had no known fertility issues. I’m starting my own journey now and I’m hopeful but so scared. I don’t have any specific questions but just want to connect with this group and express gratitude that it exists!

Progesterone 57nmol/L on blood test but no symptoms or BBT rise

Hey everyone, I've recently started my TTC journey and this month did a hormone panel out of curiosity as I also have a low libido. I've been doing OPKs as well as using the natural cycles app with wearable band to measure my BBT.

The first two months I had an obvious increase in BBT a few days after a positive OPK, followed by sore breast/nipples up until my period.

This month, I had a positive OPK on the 7th of October accompanied by ovulation pain. However, in the days since I have had no increase in BBT and no breast tenderness. I assumed I just hadn't actually ovulated. However, I then had the hormone blood test on the 12th October which said my progesterone was 57nmol/L. Everywhere I look says this means ovulation occurred. Now I'm confused! Has this happened to anyone else before?

Vent Was supposed to start medicated cycle tomorrow

Was supposed to start medicated cycle tomorrow but the fertility clinic called and said I had to come back Monday to bc my blood pressure was too high today. Has this happened to anyone ?

Today they said it was slightly elevated in the past but had never mentioned it to me?? Super frustrated. It could be just a 3 day delay, but they said the dr could also send me back to my PCP which could be another few months of delays before we can even start our FIRST medicated cycle (which we’ve been waiting 4.5 months to start) which has like a 10% success rate which just feels like nothing

Cystic Acne Remedies?

Hi everyone! I am looking for recommendations anyone has for cystic acne, especially in the jawline region.

I stopped taking spironolactone in December 2025, about two months before trying to conceive. While taking spiro I had virtually zero breakouts. We are still trying in October 2026, and my cystic acne has gotten worse with each cycle, and has flared up when I’ve needed to take progesterone to induce a period.

Has anyone found anything that has worked for them that is safe to use while TTC? I’ve tried the spot treatments, pimple patches, etc but I am really looking for something that’s not a topical. I have a dermatologist appointment but not until the end of November. Looking for suggestions to bring up with my derm at that appointment.

Thanks!!

Vent Friend complaining about pregnancy

I have been TTC for 3 years officially and unofficially like 6, my husband and I never used protection. We have 3 losses under our belts the most recent last week.

My best friend knows this and has a 9 month old and is in her second trimester with her second and shes been constantly complaining about her child and pregnancy. And I've been there for her but I'm just at a point right now where I cant.

She knows about the recent loss, I did gently tell her I mentally cant handle the venting right now and i a pretty sure she forgot.

I'm not like extremely mad at her and shes not a horrible person I'm just frustrated and really sad especially tracking this cycle to make sure the Letrozol worked and I get my period even if its later than usual. It also doesnt help that theres 3 women pregnant in my church and one of them was a few weeks ahead of me and I'm just.. not expecting my baby on mother day anymore and kinda wanna sleep and not wake up again.

Caveat: I am slightly depressed but won't ever do anything I love my husband and my life, I have a great support system so please dont read into the sleeping forever thing. Its just how I feel right now.

Discussion 2 day light period - any thoughts on impact for TTC?

I’m 36 TTC for 7 months with PMOS (acne/high androgens/high AFC). I was on birth control for a long time but both times I can recall being off it (for 6 months, and then again now for 11 months) my period has been a 2 day light bleed, with 3-5 days of brown spotting after. I’m confirmed to ovulate on my own each month. I’ve been followed by my RE for 3
TI letrozole, Ovidrel, and progesterone cycles. SIS is clear, tubes open, no polyps or fibroids.

The docs have never been able to comment really on the short period, does anyone have simialr experience and what has your doc attributed it to or what have you further investigated?

Seeking Success Birth control to help hormones and get pregnant in the future? Is it recommended?

In 2024 I got nexplanon. After 5 months of constant bleeding I removed it in February of 25 and decided I wanted to have a baby anyway. Got a positive test at the beginning of May.

I had a mc and ever since then I have had no success im wondering if I should try birth control again. I really hated nexplanon and I almost passed out getting it plucked out so i wouldnt do that just for funsies but probably the pill.

Has anyone had a doctor recommend this? Ive see a few posts here and there but not kuch follow up info.

I am scheduled to see them next week to discuss letrozole but if they continue pushing the discussion out like they have I might ask for birth control while I wait and maybe a few months of it will help? What do we think?

Sad So tired of not ovulating

Just a vent, I guess but always would love to hear other people success stories and vents as well.
My insurance doesn’t cover anything fertility, including letrazole.
My husband and I both agreed to wait at least another year and a half before committing to spending thousands on treatment.
I do ovulate 3-6 times a year (usually 4) and the lack of chances we get is devastating me.
I’m now on month 4 with only one ovulation, we timed everything perfect and still a no go.
Yet everyone around me is becoming a mom, even though I’m the one who has wanted this the most/longest.
I’m ready for my announcement, but I’m sure even when the day comes, I’m so traumatized by this process that I won’t be able to be truly happy until my baby is actually here.

Discussion Letrozole symptoms; peeing a lot

TW: early mc

Hi! My husband and I have been trying for 14 cycles now and have one 6 week miscarriage from cycle #1 to show for it. No luck for a year. My OB started me on Letrozole 5mg once a day (CD3-7.) I take my last dose tonight and was wondering how other people were feeling while on it? I know this has been asked before (and yes! I did speak to my doctor. I moved to be with my husband, so I don’t have a huge community where I am. It’s just nice to feel like I’m not alone) but I’m just seeing if there are new perspectives. I am peeing SO much on my first round of Letrozole.

I did have bloodwork and urine done, no issues there. What other symptoms did you guys have? I had breakthrough bleeding yesterday Earlier in the morning but it was gone by late morning, my OB does not seem to be concerned, I guess this is normal. I’ve had muscle pain in the same spot behind my knee and in my ankle since day 2 but it has not been progressively getting worse.

I don’t see my OB for ultrasound until CD 21, does this feel late for a monitored cycle? I can ovulate between cycle days 16-26 so I think it’s hard for them to guesstimate.

Sorry if this is kind of all over the place, we had to say goodbye to my kitty and I’ve been exhausted 🫠

TLDR:
Wondering what everyone’s symptoms were on Letrozole, talked with OB but trying to feel connected to community.

Edit: fixed TW

Cervical mucus, but no positive LH

My last cycle was the first time tracking, I had a classic cycle with cervical mucus(that I only checked the day after ovulation so I couldn’t know for sure) and a positive LH strip, and a good progesterone blood test a week later.

I get between 3 to 6 periods a year.

I have had egg white cervical mucus for the last six days, most notably the last three days I have found a lot. However, my LH is still nowhere near ovulating.

When I got my estrogen test tested, it came back completely normal a few months ago.

How long do you see cervical mucus before you ovulate

Advice Needed Letrozole and trigger shot

Hey, im new to the group, ill preface this by saying I dont have PCOS, my wife does and her and i are currently trying to conceive. We are working with Shady Grove Fertility in Eastern Pennsylvania, we love them so far but they are recommending timed intercourse with Letrozole and a trigger but the price per round is a thousand dollars which we don't have. We are looking into just seeing if she can do letrozole and no trigger as the biggest barrier with conception at this time is the lack of ovulation. Any advice and thought are greatly appreciated thank you!

Advice Needed First FET for IVF and clinic is insisting on Assisted Hatching

I'm really struggling with whether trying to argue with my fertility team about AH is worth it. I'm 27 (turning 28 in a few weeks) and am hoping to undergo my first round of FET soon. I went through 6 failed rounds of IUI.

My issue is that I received my treatment plan and assisted hatching is on it but I don't see it as necessary at the current time. I've done the research and read multiple studies and reports that indicate that there is no sufficient evidence on the performance of AH. Additionally, my insurance did deny coverage of AH because of this lack of evidence so I would be covering it out of pocket. Affording it isn't the issue but the out-of-pocket cost did play a factor in my research and decision.

With this being my first FET and my age, I don't believe its necessary but my clinic is being very insistent about it. I have 15 embryos and am willing to take the risk of failure.

The advice I need is, should I just give in and go along with the AH? What has been your experience with AH? Did you chose not to do AH and later regret that choice?

Advice Needed Advice needed- no ovulation

I started Ovasitol in July for high testosterone. I just got it rechecked and it had dropped to 44 from 65. I used Provera in September to induce a period and now currently cycle day 27 with no signs of ovulation. I’ve been on Ovasitol for 3 months. Should I continue? Add metformin? I’m just shocked I haven’t ovulated by now. Any advice?

Increased Progesterone

I just started 400mg of progesterone 4 days ago where I was at 200 previously but I never got my period after I finished it this last time. I’m now bleeding, not just spotting, and I still have the 6 days left to take it. Did this happen with anyone else to bleed like a period in the middle of the progesterone cycle?
