Mod (other) HOI4 Mod Flowchart (1700s-2200s)
A flowchart of every HOI4 mod (that I'm aware of) that takes place between the 1700s and the 2200s.
Please check our previous War Room thread for any questions left unanswered
Welcome to the War Room. Here you will find trustworthy military advisors to guide your diplomacy, battles, and internal affairs.
This thread is for any small questions that don't warrant their own post, or continued discussions for your next moves in your game. If you'd like to channel the wisdom and knowledge of the noble generals of this subreddit, and more importantly not ruin your save, then you've found the right place!
Important: If you are asking about a specific situation in your game, please post screenshots of any relevant map modes (strategic, diplomacy, factions, etc) or interface tabs (economy, military, etc). Please also explain the situation as best you can. Alliances, army strength, tech etc. are all factors your advisors will need to know to give you the best possible answer.
Below is a preliminary reconnaissance report. It is comprised of a list of resources that are helpful to players of all skill levels, meant to assist both those asking questions as well as those answering questions. This list is updated as mechanics change, including new strategies as they arise and retiring old strategies that have been left in the dust. You can help me maintain the list by sending me new guides and notifying me when old guides are no longer relevant!
Note: this thread is very new and is therefore very barebones - please suggest some helpful links to populate the below sections
MP Country Guides
Help fill me out!
Guide to Combat Tactics and Doctrines OUTDATED, BUT STILL USEFUL
If you have any useful resources not currently in the Reconnaissance Report, please share them with me and I'll add them! You can message me or mention my username in a comment by typing /u/Kloiper
As this thread is very new, we are in dire need of guides to fill out the Reconnaissance Report, both general and specific! Further, if you're answering a question in this thread, consider contributing to the Hoi4 wiki, which needs help as well. Anybody can help contribute to the wiki - a good starting point is the work needed page. Before editing the wiki, please read the style guidelines for posting.

Did a Democratic Germany in Road to 56, went heavy into navy, and I had some Coastal Defense Ships from the navies I took, and well this one took it like a champ when fighting the Italian Navy
i kinda started playing hoi4 because of tommykay, and even tho i dont watch him much anymore, i never thought people in the community would actually dislike like him, as well the road to 56 mod. i do somewhat understand the tommykay dislike, but i don’t understand why a lot of people in the community dislike RT56 so much i do understand that vanilla DLCS just mog the mod now, but i do like the focus trees for the south american, middle eastern, and south east asian countries.
So, in this event that happens (almost) every game, the response of every nation is "Ask the Belgians how well neutrality defended them in 1914". Well... not EVERY nation, exactly. If you play the Belgians, apparently their response is "Neutrality must be backed by force".
I don't know why, but these little details seem pretty cool for me

It's saying that "The German Reich" has reasons to reject. I AM THE GERMAN REICH. Historical path and trying to call Italy into the Polish war

Title.
No but genuinely, not even pro youtubers use it or anyone like that
I have like 1 k hours on hoi4 and would say i’m decent but fuck man people on multiplayer are so mean. it kinda sucks for new players, but i have also had my fair share of good experiences too, just seems a lot more toxic than other game communities that are smaller.

New player here. Was looking for a good map mod, but I only found ones that added new states, while all I wanted was to slightly improve the borders of existing states for some alternate-history irredentism, i.e. mostly 19th and 18th century borders. So I did it myself.
Things fixed:
Plus some other minor changes here and there. State borders that are also national borders have been kept intact, and I believe I have always kept any city or region a state is named after within that state.

Just finished beating up the Soviets for the first time and wanted to share. Reupload due to R5.
One thing I do have to say is that I probably could've won it one or two years earlier if the Soviets just WEREN'T THIS BIG!

Torpedomaxxing and spamming them out seems like it could work in SP anyways

For those that don’t know, all operating systems have an in built screen recording function.
Windows
If you press Win+Shift+S you take a screenshot of a specific window. You draw a box around the image.
If you press Win+Shift+R it records your screen.
Mac
If you press Cmd+shift+3 or 4 it either takes a screenshot of the whole screen or gives you a box.
If you press Cmd+shift+5 it records your screen.
Please stop using your phone, it makes the Soviets being broken into 108393 counties look like a Picasso drawing.

In rt56, US fascist focus tree has these two at the end. What are the differences between these two focuses? I tried both for about 6 months and I did not see any noticeable difference. Are they the same in nature?

Are there any good Christian Fundamentalist tags/paths in hoi4, mainly in modding? I heard of some from The Fire Rises like Okhlobystin's Russia and the LRA in Central Africa and a few KX but I'd like to hear some paths recommended by the community. Please give some of your personal favorite Christian Fundamentalist paths in the comments 😊

Hello everyone 💖
I wanted to present a project by a friend of mine: a mod for Hearts of Iron 4 centered on the universe of the game "The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante. In times of the fall of the blessed arkenian Empire"
A dark fantasy game where you live in the blessed Arknian Empire, where a man's fate is decided from birth — whether you are a human or an Arknian — all under the gaze of the Twin Gods.
Arknians rule the world and humans; they have blue skin and are better at everything, but humans greatly outnumber them and are very important for making the empire function.
There are 5 great noble Arknian dynasties: Milanidas, Morongue, Orgrif, Diamant, and Tempest, each one controls a region. And with this mod you will be able to control one of the great dynasties and try to achieve success in the times of the fall of the blessed Arknian Empire, when the commoners are increasingly tired of noble tyranny and religious movements promote freedom and equality. Besides that, this mod intends to do something quite unique with its storytelling, incorporating visual novel elements, the goal is to make it feel like a completely new game.
What's already done?
He is working alone right now and needs any help to bring this project to life. Anyone who is interested and wants to see news or join the community, or can help more directly —whether by being part of the development team or giving advice — all of that will already be something very important and appreciated by us.

I can't for the life of me figure out why my efficiency isn't improving. All planes have been in the zone the required amount of time (showing green in their lists on the side). All airbases have fuel and are in supply. There is no overcrowding as I have no allies participating. Another major air zone with similar planes has 100% (actually 110, but it's raining). Can someone enlighten me? Can someone at Paradox please put WTF causes problems right there next to the number that tells you to fix things?

For example say i have 1 field marshal with 3 generals, then i get some new divisions so i need another general, but then i assign the new general they wont follow the field marshals orders without re-making thrm, which causes my army to move around like headless chickens letting the enemy, in this case the ussr against poland-lithuania take loads of land from me. Is there any way of getting the general to instantly follow the field marshal

Playing as Christian Democracy Italy (for you stalkers its different run than my last post), capitulated France with paratroopers and have control of Britain at Dover. I paradrooped into VPs to capitulate, but failed, but manage to hold Dover long enough for my army to come over. I'm in a vary dire circumstances, comrades please help.
TLDR: Paradropped on Dover, bad army holding on for dear life.
EDIT: Lost all troops shown in picture, no longer holding in Dover, took ~23 divisions from Yugo puppet. May have to get more paras (I have no more)
