Title. Got pulled over and noticed the police officer was wearing Meta Glasses on top of wearing their body camera. Is this legal? I was truly taken aback by that it's got to be an insane violation of privacy and data collection for Meta. Insane.

I am on Medicare and my doctor is retiring, so I need to choose a new one. One thing I have learned is that it is best if the PCP and specialists I see are part of the same ecosystem, e.g. Piedmont, Emory, Northside, Wellstar, etc. If I stay inside that system, all of my doctors can see the other medical activity, my prescriptions, etc. if I mix and match, I have to gather alll of that for them.
I used to be in the Piedmont system but am now in the east side and considering the Emory system. Anyone have experience with both and can compare, or otherwise have opinions?

Does anyone know whatās going on with the sudden emergency shutdowns of the four different sections of the I-285? My husband and I are currently heading southbound away from Atlanta on the I-85 when we received the Public Safety Alert from the Georgia Department of Transportation shown in the first picture which states that the closures are expected to last until 5AM on Monday, October 19.
When I clicked on the GDOT link (https://www.gaalert.com/Closures) provided in the alert, at the top of the page, it states āThe following 4 emergency closures have been activated. Click "Register for this Closure" if you are within the shaded boundary of a closure. Registration will advise Georgia authorities of your location and provide you with updates as they are available. Please refresh this page regularly for updates.ā
We are in Atlanta fairly often and have never received an alert like this before from GDOT or from anywhere else for that matter.
Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to provide any additional information and/or context.

Its just an absurdly long/tall escalator. I don't have to take it daily, but whenever I do take it it always makes me nervous when I'm going up knowing there's that much escalator behind me, and going down is enough to trigger acrophobia.

Iām taking my 11 year old daughter to see Olivia Rodrigo at State Farm Arena. I managed to get section T17 for a decent price however Iāve discovered that we donāt have actual seats at the railing bar and itās more like general admission. Iām assuming thatās why it was so cheap. Me and my daughter are both very short, under 5 foot. Iām now very worried that she wonāt be able to see over the bar or over other people if they get in front of her. Has anyone stood at T17, whatās the experience like?
Iām aware of rate my seat websites but canāt find anything for general admission for that section.

EDIT: Thanks all for the great recommends! I tried Oakland Cemetery but they were closed for an event so I just went to Atlantic Station for their free 2 hour parking. Shout out to the Cantina there for having Tropicalia on tap and of course Dos Equis and Amber!
Hey all, i am dropping a couple of people off wt the Fox Theatre for a 2 hour show and then oicking up and was wondering what was somewhat close by to do where I could also park for free or very cheap. Varsity might work but im not sure i will be hungry and I just went to Ikea not long ago so dont really want to go there either.
Dont mind driving a little bit but I do need to be back to pick them up after the show also. Any ideas, especially not food because not real sure how hungry i will be.

I got a $16 ticket for using Peach Pass lane in a part of town we don't go to. I don't want to spend ten hours trying to dispute $16 so I just went ahead and paid the stupid thing, but I am curious with all these new AI cameras making mistakes - has this happened to anyone else in the last month or two? Have you gotten one of these? They charged us twice - within a few minutes of each other too. Super sketchy.
Is this just a one-off mistake or is this a huge thing happening? I've never had this happen until now.
Edit : I should specify that I received a letter at home. the website I paid at was mypeachpass.com which is legit.

The last time I for sure knew was this year April.
And also please tell me what your experience has been if you have visited the airport while ICE was stationed there.

My friend has a layover in Atlanta. She gets in town at 1am on Saturday and her flight is at 9am that morning. So we have about 5 hours from 2am - 8am. What should we do when only so much is opened.
She mentioned Magic City, Iāve never been. Iām partial to Cheetahās but they close at 2:45am.
I wish Atlanta had more spots that were open late night that wasnāt just food.
Iāve been out in the A, but Iām not outside outside. I also know the times are crazy, but I know thereās something we could possibly get into.

I didnāt see any near Yacht Club, EL Myr, or Brewhouse today. The parade is tomorrow at 1pm. Are they going to have any Port-a Potties, or is it the businessās carrying the burden and hopefully are compensated. Just asking.

At this point, I've heard negative things about every company. Rates keep going so doing some shopping. I've heard service can be more important than the actual company as long as you avoid the true bottom feeders.

Hey Redditors,
Iām hoping someone might be able to identify this filming location from the 1996 TV series āProfilerā? While the series was filmed in Los Angeles, the pilot episode (where this photo from online was taken) was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, where the series is depicted to have taken place. According to commentary, this location was filmed outside of Atlanta. Any information would be amazing.
Thanks heaps š

Hey yall,
Been living here close to a decade and finally got to experience the right of passage of having my window smashed in and vehicle rummaged through.
I park on street in Virginia Highland and they hit all of the cars on the street and even a cluster of people that park next to the street. I was just wondering what other peoples experience with this has been? I typically leave it unlocked and have been rummaged through multiple times before; one time they even sprayed a ketchup packet on the seats which was super annoying. Breaking the window stinks. As I understand it they are looking for guns so they dgaf about other valuables - case in point ignoring my ray bans.
Anyways what can we do as a community to better deter this? Do you have any humorous car break in stories? Do you have any tales of justice? Idk this was a super shitty day

NOTE: Found it!
My car keys fell off keychain while walking the beltline from around 8:30pm to 12:00am 10/16 on the east side trail (lady bird to shake shack) as well as Stereo, Lloydās pizza and Krog street
Itās a Lexus smart key with a laminated white/blue tag that has at least the following on it:
Lexus ES 300h
If found please, DM me. Thank you. Also if youāre aware of other communities to post on please let me know.

I'm looking for a yoga studio that is mildly heated at most (room temp up to 80s), and a more meditative, relaxing and restorative vibe as compared to the pop-music-blasting, high speed flows in 95+ degree packed boxes I've experienced so far (highland, yonder). But I don't mean yin yoga. I prefer vinyasa because I do want a physical challenge, just not cardio... I have other workouts for that. I truly hate how hot the studios all seem to be here.
Anyone know of any yoga studios around town that are not swelteringly hot, play more relaxing ambient music, and flow at a more typical true vinyasa pace?
