Thinking about moving to an area a little north of Acworth, still Acworth address… close to Altoona.
Have lived in Alpharetta for 15 years, kids grown… have to drive to Buckhead about 3x per week, but can leave early in AM and early afternoon commute home. I’m used to 400, not sure how 75 compares.
Typically keep to ourselves politically, I’m pretty moderate Republican, wife is Democrat, some moderate tendencies.
Are there good restaurant choices? How is the downtown area, etc? Anybody able to compare/contrast Alpharetta and Acworth?
TIA

I’m currently apartment searching and I want to tour The Brookstone and The Knox. Anyone that currently lives there can tell me about your experience?
It’s right in my price range and a good location! Thanks in advance :)

Meet FCAS foster Amy! 💖 This 7yo, 60lb (looks smaller, she’s muscular!) shepherd mix girl is certified BFF material! 👯♀️ She’s been our easiest foster thus far and has been such a polite, happy houseguest. She’s incredibly affectionate, will lean in for hugs, and loves to stand and put her paws on your shoulders if you’re seated eye level with her. 🥹 She makes the cutest little grunting noises when she snuggles and her head tilt game is STRONG! 😆
She may technically be a senior (suspect she may be a bit younger), but she’s still got plenty of pep in her step! She’s super playful, loves fetch, and has a blast running around the yard and playing with our resident Shepsky. 🐾 She also settles quickly, sleeps through the night, LOVES to cuddle, and doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety (only short-lived protest whines and quickly gives up 😆). All in all, 10/10 good girl! 🥰
✅ Potty trained - no accidents! 🤞🏽
✅ Leash trained - pulls, but manageable
✅ Crate trained
✅ Non-destructive
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Excellent temperament
✅ Knows commands - sit, stay, shake (both paws)
✅ Good recall
✅ Treat/food motivated
✅ Non-reactive (treats, toys, food, etc)
✅ Easily handled
✅ Easy to bathe/dry/brush/trim nails
✅ Spayed
✅ HW negative
Amy’s kryptonite? Cats. 😩 She’s shown pretty strong prey drive with our senior kitty, so she would do best in a feline-free home. 🐈⬛
We also don’t know how she does with kids, but I imagine the only issue might be that she can get excited and could accidentally cause little children to topple over. 😅
She has an Embark DNA test in progress, so curious to see what her breed mix is…👀
Amy is currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA and available for adoption through LifeLine Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services. Click the link below to schedule a meet & greet with her or feel free to message me! 👋🏽

Hey everyone. Looking for a second chance type place to stay for my brother. He has been severely down on his luck with his wife and kids and in need of an apartment. I have money to get multiple months rent for him but I am unable to cosign. So he will need approval on his own. He is currently staying in a hotel which is just too expensive to keep up. If anybody has any recommendations that would be amazing.

Hey neighbors! Just a quick heads-up that the annual Riverfest Arts & Crafts Festival is taking over Etowah River Park this Saturday and Sunday (Sept 26–27).
Just a few helpful logistics if you are planning to go:
It's the Service League of Cherokee County's absolute biggest fundraiser of the year. Every dime raised from the gate goes directly into casework helping local kids with utilities, clothing, dental care, and school supplies.
Come hungry because the concession lineup looks incredible this year. Let me know if you have any questions about parking or layout—hope we get some beautiful fall weather for it!

My elderly mom just moved here. She went to a salon in Florida every Friday for a wash and blow dry but it was so inexpensive. Like, I think she paid less than 40.00 including tip. She has a short bob and very fine hair. Any recommendations? Is this going to be a huge fail on my part trying to find someone who will do this?

Hello neighbors!
I’m moving my disabled mother in with me but don’t have enough room in my current house. I’m in desperate need of a 3+ bedroom with master on main or one level as she can’t manage stairs.
It can be in Canton, Woodstock, or Acworth. Prefer by owner because I’ve loved my landlords and they’re so much better than an agency. Since we need to be approved and move quickly, we can pay 6-12 months in advance.
I have a senior dog and she has a cat. Both are housebroken and well behaved, I’ve lived in my current rental for 7 years and the landlords will attest that my dog has caused no damage. It would be three people (myself, my mom, my teen) living there.
I appreciate any leads! 😊

I’ve been dealing with ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation for years now and I’m just not sure what works to get rid of it. I have PCOS so I get neck hair and I’m really insecure about it.
I am making the choice to try laser hair removal and would like any affordable recommendations or places that treat my coarse hair and pcos hormonal hair. I also have dark skin so places that work well with darker skin types would be great too!
Thank you in advance :))

Does anyone shop at the antique store? I seen something online I was wanting to purchase but I live in Indiana I would pay for the item plus shipping and also pay a fee for helping. Message me. Thanks

Hey everyone! 😊 I’m hosting a little paint night next Thursday, September 24th, at the Acworth Community Center and still have some spots open!
We’ll be painting a cute little fall pumpkin picture 🍂🎨 and Amanda will walk everyone through it step-by-step. It’s $30 and all the proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Chili’s.
If anyone is looking for something fun to do next Thursday, come hang out and paint with us! ❤️
Follow the QR code for registration.
Feel free to comment or message me if you have any questions!

Seems like a natural addition to nostalgic Main street. That being said what type of hobby supply would you like to see? I am a scale modeler/diorama builder myself.
