They asked the driver if there’s an up-charge for this and the driver said to leave a tip. Is this so he doesn’t get in trouble for selling alcohol? Or can he still get introuble. This is so dumb to have in your car. Especially driving around in the day this won’t last. if he gets pulled over it won’t look good. Why do some drivers just do too much instead of just driving point A to point B.

this is also a wakeup call be careful what you do in your car because riders record you and post you online without you knowing

It was only a 20 min ride...

Sure, but ask Uber for a small fuel surcharge- NAH, suffer in your jocks peasant.

I am wondering what amount of tip drivers consider a successful trip. I try to tip well and rarely go below $10, even if the ride itself is only $10. But I am on vacation and averaging probably three trips per day, and more than $50/day in tips alone. It’s getting kind of expensive and I wonder if I am going overboard.

And to show you how I feel I'll leave it in the comments

Just had a passenger who said the driver before me pulled up and didnt match the description. The driver on the app was older and driver that rolled up was in his 20s. Same car and license plate though. Just different driver.

She questioned him and he canceled and took off. What the fuck. Why is this a thing?

I told her how to report him and apparently 'driver did not match' was an option.

Uber really need to stop playing in the top drivers face like this. 😂😂

Finished up a ride and started heading to the next one only to realize it’s a scheduled ride. Though aww crap I’m gonna be way early probably, but once I stopped and was able to see the pickup time I realized that the pax was scheduled to be picked up ten minutes ago. Messaged the customer to apologize and explain I didn’t even know it was scheduled but would be to her shortly and that I didn’t know why they gave me a pickup when I wasn’t even dropping off my last rider until five minutes AFTER her scheduled pickup time. She spends the entire ride complaining about it, understandably, and I don’t disagree with her. Then she spend almost the full five minutes in the gas station at her stop, I still get her to work 7 minutes before she has to clock in, and right as she’s getting out of the car she scolds me and says next time don’t accept a scheduled ride I can’t get to on time, like it’s my fault that they even offered it. I even tried to explain earlier that she probably had another driver cancel so they assigned me last minute because no one else was closer, so anyone else would have gotten her even later. But no she had to blame me. Immediately went from 5 stars to 1.

Is uber worth it nyc area Jersey city ? Especially uber eats . I don’t usually do driver at all because most people in my area currently suck and like to shit in your car for fun so I stick with food

Ok guys, I usually don’t post but I see a lot of what goes on here, for context, I woke and drive in the Boston area. In 2024 I had an issue with a duplicate account and we actually got the issue resolved. Yesterday at 3am I was prompted with the insurance card update so I sent it in. And 5 minutes later deactivated for duplicate account. 30 calls later, an appeal, everything for the agents to just say the account has my information, my picture, my license. When in 2024 we got this cleared up and fixed. That second account deleted. What’s my next steps to deal with really getting this fixed.

I haven’t done Logan runs in a while ….

For drop offs can you do curbside and if yes, do I need uber paperwork to show MSPolice?

For pickups that’s at the ride share lot right? Thank youuuuu

More Uber games and greed.

I had an area surging, so I put on area preference, go online, surges disappear. Which, okay, no big deal... Uber always does that, I just need to log off and go back online to get the surges to stay.

Log off, surges re-appear, put area preference back on, go online, surges disappear.

Log off, surges re-appear, put area preference back on, go online, surges disappear.

Log off, surges re-appear, put area preference back on, go online, surges disappear.

Log off, surges re-appear, put area preference back on, go online, surges disappear.

...log on without area preference, surges stay.

Not a huge thing, unless Uber starts spamming rides while trying to put area preference on while logged in. But still, shows what a POS Uber is to program that.

Curious if anyone else experiences this though?

What would you do?

Just curious if you guys use this function or not? Never used it before today, but accepted a ride (new requests show up on my cars touch screen and it doesn’t show full information like it does on the phone). At a red light, on the way to pick up I realized their rating was a 4.56, and the name was just “Q”. Immediately cancelled.

God bless my fellow drivers navigating these wonderful Philly streets @ night.

Sorry! I'm a passenger. I didn't see anything here about non drivers being unable to post. But here is my question. My college is 4 miles away. My Uber driver complained the entire time after she picked me up that it's wasting a lot of her gas. Like literally the entire ride. It wasn't just one comment. I didn't really know what to say. But I did tip extra than I normally do. I always assumed you were able to see the pay and how far away it is before accepting. She is the only one ever who has said this ever since I started taking Uber to and from college.

(I can't drive since I am epileptic and I need to be seizure free for 6 months before my neurologists signs papers that I can drive as I did get reported to the DMV (in case I get asked why I don't drive myself)

I live in the middle of nowhere and the main route to town is a freeway. Due to vertigo issue I can’t travel above 45 mph. There is a back roads route to town that covers that, but it’s not one of the established routes on map apps. I’m worried I’ll scare the driver by asking to take a backroads way after they arrive to pick me up

Is there a way I can map out my own route on uber app so they won’t be surprised when I ask to take another route?
