Midrange small Android tablet doesn't exist?

I always seem to stumble on categories with very little choice or options. I expect the rumoured iPad mini refresh to be insanely expensive. So I was looking for some decent android options as an alternative for that specific screen size (more or less 8")

Just the right size for some light reading or stay connected on a short trip.

When you start looking, it's either tablets at the complete low end, which would be atrocious to use, with zero slightly nice features. (samsung A11, Lenovo tab one) or premium Android tablets from Oppo or Xiaomi with china roms (no small tablets of either officially in the European market)

I get it, the customer for a premium feeling small tablet probably doesn't exist. Either parents want the cheapest small tablet for the kids to destroy every six months, or large and premium

Apples iPad mini is probably the only luxurious small offering out there.

However, I think the next one will offer features no one asks for in this kind of device (faceID, 120Hz, Oled, whatever, ...) making it unnecessarily expensive. It should just be a spec/Soc update and call it a day.

need help choosing a tablet

i have to purchase on from walmart or walmart.com

preferably under $75 as my funds are limited.

what im looking for is a tablet with a big screen and lots of storage.

i want to be able to download multiple games and apps without getting a popup that i have to uninstall apps to install a new one.

i borrow my moms app to play games, i would love to finally remove junes journey from her tablet so she can have more space because that game takes up so much i guess. like whenever there is an update, i cant update it without being told i need to uninstall other apps just to the update.

and yes i know about cleaning tablet storage and clearing cache but still.

i want to get my own tablet when there is enough space that i dont have to unistall games to install others or just so i can update junes journey.

also my mom has had an issue where she takes a lot of pictures and then it says shes out of space and cant take anymore so a photo gallery being unlimited or at least being able to hold more than a hundred or so photos would be preferable

but im not tech savvy.

i dont know what GB or MB or RAM mean and i dont know how much i need to have a tablet with with lot of storage and good battery.

and again my only option is walmart

i know unlimited storage probably doesnt exist but for my price range what is best?

so for example is this one good?

What is the best option?

Hello, I have xiaomi pad 8 and I'm a gamer, I only play codm but really focused and dedicated to that game... Should I charge and wait for my battery until it's done and then I will play or should I play while charging (with cooling)... Because I see some streamers using the tablet (specifically xiaomi pad 8) for many hours and it's plugged but with cooling or cooler... Take not xiaomi pad 8 doesn't have bypass charging so should I do the same?

Good tablet for reading/using in bed?

Hai everyone, I wanna know a good tablet for primarily reading. I have an old Kindle and it’s definitely convenient, but I’d like something a little more open. I want to be able to put my own pdfs on it while still having some decent ebook capability on its own.

I also like the kindle for how lightweight it is, and the e-ink screen is probably better for my eyes, especially if I’m reading it right before bedtime.

I’d also like it if it’s a more normal tablet, something j can watch YouTube or something on. Is there anything that’s both a decent e-reader and is able to act like a more normal tablet? That might sound weird lol but a good e-reader is my main goal here

What is the most important thing you look for in a tablet?

I want to get a new tablet but budget aside, I am looking for one with LTE support and so far there aren't many (Samsung and Apple are out of my budget). I am eyeing the Infinix Xpad 30 pro with LTE support and AI functionality for work but the firmware support stops me from getting one. Another one is Oppo Pad 5 with LTE support and Matte display but is a larger display and heavier.

I know not many are looking at LTE when it comes to tablets but I have one extra physical sim card and always not using it so it is a waste. Can anyone recommend one? I hope it has stylus support too so I can take notes in my workplace.

I'm starting statistics courses and need to use SPSS. Is there any way to make do with a tablet?

My laptop is 20 years old and doesn't even run properly because it still has windows 7. I have a huwaei mate pad 11. Money is very tight right now so I cannot update my laptop with higher RAM, cannot buy a new one. Maybe sell the huwaei tablet, it was a gift and I haven't opened it yet, and buy a slightly more expensive tablet.

Do you guys have suggestions?

Advice on which tablet to buy

I’m looking to get a tablet mainly for watching videos, and occasionally annotating PDFs. Planning to use it for around 4 years at least.

I’m torn between these options:
iPad A16 ($738 including Pencil)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE ($600)
Xiaomi Pad 8 ($708 including Pen)

(prices in Singapore Dollars)

I use iPhone and Mac but apple ecosystem isn’t that important for me because I won’t be transferring files that often.

After trying these out in the shops, I like the Android screens better… but I know iPads will last a long time. Idk about Android tablets as I’ve never owned one before. Anyone who has used Android tablets can chip in?

All these are within my budget, including the Apple Pencil. Which one I should get? Any other advice?

What tablet should I buy?

Hello, I came on here to ask for advice and recommendations.

I had an iPad 5th gen since 2018 and I’m planning on buying a new one since my current iPad is worn out.

I usually use my iPad for reading,YouTube and comics and I use it almost daily.

I’m planning on buying an android since I do want to download apks and stylize it and stuff like that, and I will buy one with a big storage since I will be using it for the long run.

As long as the price isn’t mind boggling I won’t mind how expensive it is since I will save up for it.

I will appreciate any recommendations or advice.

(Sorry for any bad grammar)

Battery drain without any usage

Hi everyone,
I picked up the iPad (A16) about a month ago, and initially, the battery life was incredible. However, over the past 2–3 weeks, the drain has gotten noticeably worse.
The biggest issue is standby drain with zero usage. Even after updating to the latest software and keeping it strictly on Airplane Mode, it's bleeding battery rapidly. For example, I charged it up to 80% last evening, left it sitting untouched on Airplane Mode, and when I checked it later, it was already down to 71% without a single minute of screen-on time.
So far, I've tried:
-Checking for and installing the latest software updates
-Leaving it in Airplane Mode overnight/during downtime
Since it’s only a month old, this is pretty frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this with the newer iPads, or does anyone have tips on what might be causing it or how to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Tablet recs for manga

I’m looking for a tablet preferably around $100 range as I’ll only be using this for manga. I usually read single page so anything from 8-9 inch would be good but wouldn’t mind a larger one as well.
