Been here for a while but can't find subreddits where you can actually find good people or make genuine friendships. I'd like some help please

Hello guys can you suggest the best communities here and also on discord it will also be helpful for all of us to get to know more about some great things.

So, I've been undecided on rejoining the IMVU community- I've lightly read the official subreddit, and been cautious on what I post there lately. I digress, I've wondered why I've had "relationship/dating issues" as a guy- but then, If I made a female avatar once- I could have been seen as a "liar". (Even if I'm Male- with some Fluid, and I was a different account- with barely any existing friends from my "Male" account.) (also: I was trying to talk to Lesbians- to try to find friends, and maybe learn more about identities, and perhaps, myself.) So, my question is which Subreddit would I post this question at..?

I’m reaching out because I need help covering the cost of specialized medical testing in Romania.
I have unexplained hematological problems, and despite the investigations carried out so far, their underlying cause has not been identified. My doctors have recommended whole-genome sequencing (WGS), whole-exome sequencing (WES), and mRNA sequencing to look for a possible genetic or molecular explanation.
These tests are currently the only way I may be able to identify the cause of my condition and receive the appropriate treatment. The total estimated cost is approximately €5,000, which is more than I can afford on my own.

I’m posting this here because I am in a very tight spot and really need some help and guidance from this community.

I recently applied and got accepted back into a call center job, which I am so grateful for, but I am facing a major hurdle: I currently have zero funds for my daily commute fare. I am almost completely done with my pre-employment requirements, and I already have my medical certificate finished.

To give a little background, I used to work as a call center agent in Davao, but I had to resign three months ago to take care of my sick mother. My father passed away two years ago, and I am the only one working hard to support us here at home. While I was home, I tried to survive by doing sideline work at a local coal-making area (ulingan near us) just to have something for our daily needs, but unfortunately, they stopped operations and moved to another place.

My orientation is scheduled for this coming October 21, and my official start date is on October 28. My workplace is located at the Diamond Tower near SM Lanang in Davao City, and I have to commute daily all the way from Manay, Panabo City. Because I don't have a boarding house in Davao, I have to travel back and forth every day, and I simply don't have the starting fare for my transportation.

I am not a desperate person by nature, but so many problems have piled up all at once, and I really don't want to lose this job opportunity because of transportation barriers.

To reassure anyone willing to help, I am more than willing to provide daily updates, pictures, or videos once I start working just to prove that I am completely telling the truth and honoring any assistance extended to me. I am also happy to provide any other details, proof, or documents needed right now.

If any kind soul is willing to extend a hand or a small assistance for my starting fare, I would deeply appreciate it.

ok so i am for the Bostin children's hospital making a gridfinity case for the endocrinology diabetes department and need to find a few things for said project the entire thing is 3d printed but 6 screws and a ice pack that i need to find (the main reason I'm making this post) if anyone can point me to a subreddit that would let me ask for help searching for very specific items in this case a small but durable ice pack that doesn't exceed 5 inches in length and 1/4th of and inch in width and 4inches in height that would be amazing sorry for the rant

My friends aren't here. Everyone's moving forward, and some days I feel left behind. I love my family, but I miss new faces, random conversations, and laughing about stupid things.

I love writing, and I'm trying to become a ghostwriter and content marketer.
I've been writing on X, but I want to find people who are figuring things out too.
I'm brand new here and can't even tell which communities to join or how to get involved without doing it wrong.

So, a few questions:
1. Which subreddits are good for beginner writers or people building alone?
2. How did you start getting involved when you were new?
3.Is there a place here where people just talk about nothing important?

I know there are some DIY reddits but the ones I've seen to be for experienced people sharing their home improvement projects.

I just have a situation where one of the wooden slats on my bed is chipping into the frame and I'm hoping to get advice on what to do before it gets worse.

Does anyone know of a reddit that would be appropriate to ask this question? I am a total novice to DIY and a bit worried they'd laugh at me in those other groups.

Seriously, i cannot even make a post in some subreddits when i really need help or just wanna discuss something because creators of subredit make a rule "low karm = no post", but this is the most stupid shit, reddit is place where any weird dude can downvote you because he can't control his own anger or he just do this because others did this too.

The site seems like it skews younger (at least my feed does recently). I’d like to see more comments and posts from older demographics. Any recommendations are appreciated.
