Does anyone else feel like people in this sub can be unnecessarily rude and condescending for absolutely no reason? Like in this particular sub there’s just a level of nastiness that is so strange, idk if it’s jealousy or what?

I understand that not everyone is going to agree with you, and constructive criticism is one thing, but some of the comments are just straight-up nasty.
People come here to ask questions, share experiences and learn from other dancers, not to be spoken to like they’re stupid for not knowing everything already.

We’re all in the same industry, and you’d think there’d be a little more understanding, especially considering how much judgement we already deal with outside of work.

You can disagree with someone without being unnecessarily nasty or talking down to them. Being rude doesn’t make you more experienced, smarter or better at your job. It doesn’t even make you more money. Some of you are miserable and you need to lay off the drugs and/or go to therapy.

In short, some of you forget you were new to the game once too, but now you act like being experienced gives you the right to look down on everyone else. Humble yourselves, because being a bitch isn’t a personality trait. 💋

I used to dance from 18-27. I ‘retired’ when I had an amazing job opportunity in real estate. Market tanked after covid & got pregnant at 31. I’m currently 100% dependent on my current partner for money & im having weird feelings about him not being faithful. I have no proof yet but I’m making my escape plan.

I rly didn’t wanna go back to the club but I refuse to work 40 hrs a week just to put my girl in daycare and have someone else raise her. I figured I could stack a few 100K for the next few years and then quit again.

Words can’t describe how much I hate the average Cuban strippers in Miami

1. They steal customers.
   
2. The cheap extras. I’m all for extras, but they should be priced adequately. They’ll do the absolute fucking most during those cheap extras. How are you supposed to compete with that while charging high-end prices?!
   
3. They have no desire to improve. If you’ve been in the U.S. for years, you should speak English, but they don’t because they don’t aspire to improve.
   
4. They actively try to make non-Cuban dancers feel uncomfortable because they want to keep the place full of Cubans.

It’s killing me. I just moved to Miami and I’m having trouble working because I have huge contempt for the Cuban strippers. After telling customers my prices (on the high side and refusing $25 dances to try to get a champagne room sale instead), a Cuban usually comes and offers her cheap prices!

I wanna start by saying that I've been dancing for a year and a half, and I'm really not the type of person to let mens opinions or comments get to me. I'm bisexual with like a 98% preference for women and I've never found a single customer attractive so I couldn't give a fuck if men like me or are attracted to me. I've been groped and smacked at work without consent, and have had guys pay for the cheapest dance just so they could nut in their pants, but I've never gone home and cried after any of that.

Last night it was extremely dead in the club, maybe only 4 groups of customers in all night. The club has a rule that for the first two hours we open, customers get seated by a staff member and only the girls sat at tables closest to them are allowed to approach them first. I got unlucky and since I wasn't sat close enough I didn't get to talk to any customers so I was just sat around bored for hours. My club also has a rule that only the same ratio of girls to the groups of customers are allowed to approach, so if its a group of 4 then 4 girls can go over etc.

There's a famous footballer thats a regular at our club, he probs comes in like once or twice a week and last night he decides to stop by with like 6 or 7 friends. The closest group of girls go over leaving 3 of us on the floor, and I didn't really care at first like you win some you lose some and I'm not the type to be concerned or upset about other girls making their bag, if anything I'm always hyping girls up and happy for them. But then one of his friends decides to go sit with the two other remaining girls on the floor and he invites them to come to vip with the rest of the group. They all head downstairs and I'm literally the only girl left on the empty floor by myself.

Can't lie it stung a bit. I'm an alternative girl and I understand that I'm not everyone's taste and I don't care to be, but damn it made me feel like I was back in college watching everyone with their big groups of friends whilst I go to the smoking shelter alone wondering why nobody wants to be friends with the weird autistic girl 😅

My manager comes up to me and asks me if I'm okay and says he can try and get me in the room if I want, but the shit 0 night topped off with bad endometriosis pain in my ovary just got to me and I was fucking done and said I'd rather just go home. Manager asked if I was sure and then let me go, I practically stormed tf out of the club. Bouncers asked me on my way out why I was leaving early and I just said "because" and stormed past them and left. Then yeah basically went home and cried. I think I'm due on my period soon and was PMSing which always makes me feel a little extra sensitive and depressed, I've definitely had worse nights than that but the whole situation just felt kinda humiliating.

Praying tonight is good bc I need it after that bs 🙏🏻

What's this week's goal for you? I'm aiming for a smooth $2,000. This is a perfectly normal goal in my area, as, we have real strict laws and slower night life.

How are you planning to do it? Message high paying regulars first and see if they're available. Scatter lower pay regulars throughout your shifts so you can get some extra cash flow on the bad days.

Pay attention to your club and what's been doing well. My club has been slow, those that make the most need to be quick and on their feet the entire shift. That means I need to set my locker up for quick changes and refreshers. Otherwise I'm going to be prone to spending too much time picking/changing outfits.

Identify your own problems. I am easily distracted and haven't been on top of asking for tips. I'm also trying to reduce my phone usage when I'm at work, so it'll be locked away for a period of time.

And please stretch. I sure as fuck haven't been and regret it every single time. Your joints and muscles will thank you for a 15 minute pre-work yoga session.

If you struggle to stay focused, try to break your goal down by item and then that into lap dances or VIP rooms.

𖹭 EXAMPLE -> $500 goal = $300 rent ; $40 new bookshelf ; $100 dental work ; $60 savings challenge

Then turn that into lap dances ->

"I only need two dances for my new bookshelf"

"5 dances, so my dental work is covered"

"I gotta get one mini vip room under my belt to finish rent up."

It keeps me motivated and hyper focused on my goals. Don't forget to figure out what you're gonna eat after work, too.

I’ve blocked 6 of my customers in the past few weeks because they wouldn't stop blowing my phone up. They want a girlfriend that they can talk to but don’t want to spend girlfriend money. Don’t want to come to the club when I’m working yet have the time to try to talk to me all day. Make it make sense.

Last week I had a guy texting me 3-5x a day, nearly everyday I told him when I would be working and he would immediately change the subject or say some stupid shit like “make that money“ or “working hard?”. During our last conversation I said bet, you want to talk about yourself all day? Let me hold $300 for some painting supplies, it’s my day off and I need to paint, radio silence, that’s what I fucking thought. Haven’t heard from him since then.

One of my big hitters, a 55 year old divorced dude was also texting me nonstop 5-20 times a day. He would text me photos of himself and random golf bullshit. On my final straw with him he had texted me 12 times within a couple hours. Complaining about me not replying and getting super insecure. I said bet “sorry babe I’m at the mall! Looking at some golf clubs for myself! Will you buy me this set?” Then I sent him a photo of a set of golf clubs that I act wanted. First he starts talking about sex. Then he attempts to go off on me, saying he’s just looking for a friend and feels used by me. Mind you he has never sent me money before. Blocked him before he could finish typing, because what do you mean using you? Let me USE this block button. No wonder both of your wives left you.

Another regular who I had cut contact with months ago started texting me again at the end of September. He had been a loyal customer so I entertained him for a few messages so he could come in to see me this week. Instead of confirming that he’ll stop by he starts text bombing me life updates, I’m like “congratulations, see you Thursday to hear all about it :)” and he insists that I go over to his apartment so he can put a baby in me……I’m like ”I’ll see you in VIP! We can have a champagne baby!” and he says that I only want money, goes on a tangent about “y’all females want a sucker” Bruh…..I AM A FUCKING STRIPPER WHY ELSE WOULD WE BE TEXTING???? I blocked him too.

My solution to this? I started giving out my OF link instead of my number. It’s somewhat helped so let’s see how this goes in six months from now.

Always the worst dj’s, creepy asf, smelly & annoying. Never play what you ask them & always have their hand out at the end of the night. The one club I’ve been at for several years now STILL dogs me out. DJ hates me for whatever reason, I don’t fucking get it esp when I’ve gone out of my way to make him money, tip him well too. I complain to management and they do nothing, worst part is it’s not just me complaining either. Wish they’d fire them atp tbh I’m so over it. I loved dancing since a lil kid. Ballet of course. But now, in my early 20s, I love swing, tango (the hardest to do well) belly dancing and even the Charleston. Fave is swing . Very acrobatic...and the retro clothing of the 1940 is so cool. What about you?
