Discussion It sucks that the Steelseries app is going to be discontinued on Mac - some of us use our headphones at work

When you open the app it gives you a big notice that the app will not work in future versions of Mac OS.

The support page says you should just use Windows.

But I use my headphones at work because that's when I need them the most. And work is on a Mac. Like many software developers these days I use a Mac at work. Because Windows kind of sucks for software development.

That's all, just venting. I would expect a premium company like Steelseries to be able to develop something that works on Apple processors. So I'm going to reconsider buying from this company the next time I need a new set of headphones.

I'm sure some of you are going to pipe up with some kind of work around like a keyboard switcher... Come on. I'm sure I could work around this. But you know what else will work? The company providing working software. Because when I bought these headphones they definitely had Mac support.

Discussion Do you think they will make a mmo mouse style for the sensi pro

Hey all I've been looking at buying the new sensei pro mouse cause I really like the concept of the rechargeable batteries, and they only thing that's putting me off from buying it is the face it isn't an mmo style. I really love mmo style mouses so I'm having a very hard time justifying the purchase of the sensei pro. So do you think they'll ever make a mmo style or should I just get the sensei pro

Product Help Steel Series Aerox 9 Wake up 4 Years Later

How is it that there hasn't been a patch to make the Aerox 9 not connect faster after waking up from sleep? It HAS to be a software thing because instead of waiting 30 seconds to a minute for it to wake up I can LITERALLY turn it off and on again and it immediately connects every time. I've done research and found archived posts from 4 years ago that I cant participate in which is why Im making one now to follow up. Reddit users correct me if Im wrong because I hope I am.

I love everything about this mouse except the ridiculous time it takes to wake up from sleep. Well actually the buttoms on the side are hard to press and wish they were mechanical but other than that its been amazing.

Product Help Aerox 5 Wired Stopped Working

• Upvotes

I’ve tried just about everything from online forums, I’ve updated the firmware, tried resetting my mouse, even cleaned out the sensor but my cursor still doesn’t move. All buttons work without issue. Any ideas on how to fix this or is it ggs for this mouse?

Product Help QCK Performance Balance not flat

I got this mousepad like two weeks ago and the center sits flat but the sides of it and around the edges have like an air pocket under them, so for every night these last two weeks ive laid books along the sides to try and get it to flatten and ive seen like 0 improvement.

Do these pads just never flatten fully on the outer edges because of the base they use or do I need to get like a hydraulic press and flatten it out? Im starting to wonder if maybe the issue wont go away regardless and im just curious if anyone else has had this problem and what you did to fix it.

Discussion Arctis Nova Pro users, does audio cut out after a few seconds when you listen over Bluetooth?

I have an Arctis Nova Pro that I bought years ago.

It has an annoying issue. When I am connected over Bluetooth to my phone (Android 17) and I watch a video on YouTube / Instagram / Facebook I will get about 2 seconds of audio and then the audio will stop playing but the video will keep playing. So I have to stop and start the video to get the audio back.

Happens whether I'm connected to the base station with 2.4G or not.

So I thought this was an Android issue, but then I just connected my Soundpeats earbuds to my phone and did the same thing and the audio does not stop playing.

Does anyone else encounter this? I have talked to support about this in the past and got nowhere with them. They say it doesn't happen.

Discussion I made a free, open-source app that makes the Arctis 7+ mix dial work on Windows without SteelSeries GG (vibe coded)

I like my Arctis 7+, but I didn't want GG running all the time just so the game/chat dial works. So I made MixDial, a small tray app that reads the dial straight from the dongle.

Full disclosure: it's vibe coded. I built it with an AI coding assistant rather than writing it by hand. I've been using it daily on my own headset, and the whole thing is a single C# file, so anyone can read exactly what it does.

What it does

  • Turning the dial balances chat apps (Discord, TeamSpeak, Teams…) against everything else
  • Tray icon shows the current mix, plus an optional popup while you turn the dial
  • Battery level and charging state, with low-battery and connect/disconnect notifications
  • Pick which apps count as "chat" right from the tray menu
  • Start with Windows, and app volumes go back to 100% when you quit

Works with: Arctis 7+, 7P+, 7X+ and 7+ Destiny on Windows 10/11.

How: without GG's virtual audio driver, Windows sees the headset as one output device, so MixDial sets per-app volume instead (same as the Windows Volume Mixer). No driver, no installer, no telemetry. It only reads from the headset and never touches its settings or firmware.

Close GG first if it's running, or the two will fight over app volumes.

Download / source (MIT): https://github.com/dialworks/MixDial

The exe isn't code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn the first time (More info → Run anyway). If you'd rather not run an unsigned exe, you can read the source and build it yourself with the compiler that already comes with Windows.

Unofficial and not affiliated with SteelSeries. Feedback and bug reports welcome, especially from 7P+/7X+ owners, since I've only tested it on my own headset.
