Product Help Best Series for Hard Fps Xbox shooters

I need a new headset as a gift to my husband. He's been rocking the hyperx cloud 2 for 3 years and the mic is just static and driving me insane during our ranked games lmao. I've been using my cloudx since 2021 and it's still great. So I'm wondering if I should get him that since it's cheap and solid. Or try the steel series for the first time? I've seen a lot of recommendations but also some avoids. What one is best for Xbox for heavy fps shooters and needing to hear every detail. Wired or wireless, doesn't matter which. We play PC shooters as well but he has a PC headset already so needs to be really good for Xbox.

Discussion PS5 3D sound on or off with Arctics Nova 5?

• Upvotes

I have an Arctics Nova 5 and do use the game presets from the SteelSeries app. I used to have 3D audio on for my ps5 in the past with my older headset that honestly wasn’t very good. I know that some people like the sound with 3d audio on and some people like the sound with it off. So I’m wondering what your opinion is and why you have it on or off.

Product Help Are the Sensei side buttons removable?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I just switched from Logitech to the new Sensei mouse.

And I want to know how to clean it in the future.

On the Logitech mouse I had (the one in the picture) the side buttons can't right off.

From experience, a lot of stuff gets stuck in-between the buttons.

So I'm wondering if I can do that on the sensei too.

I'm too scared to break it day 1 lol

Product Help Arctis 3 Ear Pads

Hey y'all, recently the left ear pad of my Arctis 3 headset started falling off, so I was wanting to get replacements pads, on the website it seems the Arctis series basic aren't in stock, so I was wondering, would the pro pads fit? Or are there any 3rd party pads that are known to work well, a quick google search sent me to Wicked Cushions but I've been getting mixed reviews about them, so if anyone knows a good place to get some replacement pads, that'd be appreciared!

Product Help I finally fixed SteelSeries base station distortion (Arctis Nova Pro Wireless)

Note at the bottom of SteelSeries GG, after updating all the firmware and swapping to a higher quality USB C Power Cable and unplugging the audio out line, I found disabling "Live Preview" to make the distortion magically disappear. Previously it would go away temporarily when I power cycled the base station but now it seems to be just gone... or atleast it's sounding better than ever before. Fingers crossed it lasts.

Product Review BEST STEEL SERIES HEADPHONE: ACRTIS PRO WIRELESS

The Arctis Pro Wireless, came out in 2018. Ive been using the Arctis Pro Wireless for quite some time now, over 3 years now. I recently decided to upgrade, nothing wrong with the headset other than the mic being dog water. I ended up purchasing the Arctis Nova Elite and was super unsatisfied for it being their flagship headset. The weight, the clamp force just about did it for me. The audio wasn’t better in my opinion to my Arctis Pro Wireless either. I was not able to pin point anything with the Elites, could not hear a thing, nothing was clear to me. I made sure all the tuning was correct and nothing helped. Keep in mind I only play fps, been playing ranked Rainbow 6 throughout all of this testing. I had the Elites for a good month before i decided to return them. This made me curious to try out the Arctis Pro Omni and was also unsatisfied. I really wanted to like the omni’s because of the better mic but after testing it compared to my Arctis Pro Wireless, I really do believe the Pro Wireless has the upper hand. An 8 year old headphone, pretty wild. The Pro Wireless just sounds more clear, the clarity is insane compared to the Elite or Omni. The easiest way i can put it is, the Arctis Pro Wireless is more immersive, gunshots, footsteps have more depth and directional accuracy. I can actually pin point where these sounds are coming from. The omni and elite sound flat and dull. And again, i made sure everything was dialed in with Sonar. Another important factor was the feel of my Pro Wireless, technically the Pro Wireless is heavier than the omni however, because the clamp force is NOT strong at all, the Pro Wireless feels much more lighter on your head, better weight distribution all around the head. They are much more comfortable than the Omni and Elite to the point I forget they are on my head. Felt immediate discomfort with the omni and elite. For reference I wear a size 7 1/4 hat. Long story short, the ARCTIS PRO WIRELESS IS THE WINNER! (8 year old headphone). I ended up just purchasing a Yeti 2 to replace the terrible mic on the Arctis Pro Wireless. Nonetheless, the Arctis Pro Omni takes second place for me, with the Nova Elite coming in third. The Omni actually sounds pretty close to my Arctis Pro Wireless, but the Pro Wireless still wins by a good margin when it comes to clarity, detail, and sound separation. The Omni sounds washed out in comparison, whereas the Pro Wireless delivers a much more punchy, clear, immersive experience.

Product Help Help with arctis nova 7

I’m having a really hard time getting my arctis nova 7 to work properly. I’ve had it for about a year now and any time I try use it the audio quality just sounds muffled/underwater, not sure how to describe it. It also never shows as connected on the steel series software despite being following all the steps (plugged in, turned on etc). Anyone else experienced the same issue?

Product Help SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds right earbud not charging properly

I recently bought the Arctis Gamebuds as a first swap from headphones to gaming earbuds, I love them and their customizability, but after very little use I've already noticed that when I put them in the case, it often doesn't charge, even though it sits just as flush in the case as the left earbud, and it also seems to deplete its battery quicker than the left earbud. I've cleaned the contact points with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, and the case is also in good condition, the product being brand new in my posession.

What can I do? Is this something for which I should look forward to be fixed with an update? Is it just a faulty product?

Sonar Help Do you have to Use Sonos ?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I Just purchased the elites, and I love them soo much it’s not even funny. I was using the Corsair virtuoso max before these and I hated how heavy they were, but I loved the mixing of Bluetooth and 2.5 wireless, hence why I pulled the trigger on the elites.

I’ve been using the elites for about a week now, for both my work computer and my gaming pc, however I have noticed how obnoxious it is to use Sonar, and how it forces you to use its virtual sound mixer . I have a sound bar that I use on my personal computer to play music while I work, then toss the headphones on when I get calls. However With Sonar windows doesn’t always know where to send the music to, and I’m having to kvm over to the personal computer and switch and close apps to get the music playing on my sound bar, it’s obnoxious

So question, is there a work around with Sonar that I can set an eq maybe with the mobile app, so that it saves to the game hub, and I can remove Sonar off the desktop? Let me know if you guys have creative work arounds or struggled with this before.

Product Help New Software Update Made This Product Worse.

The latest Software update SteelSeriesGG122.0.0 has made my headset and sonar impossible to use. The software doesn't always launch and gets stuck on the opening screen, and when it does launch, it no longer allows me to shut down and select my default sound output. I have had to uninstall completely to hear any sound from my default device. Ridiculous

Product Help Horrible quality headset

Arctis nova 3 have been a very good headset in terms of quality and comfort, but not even a year into use they have become almost unusable, every single usb c cable gets loose and almost impossible to keep connected for more than a few minutes. Will never purchase another steelseries headset.

Sonar Help Constant complaints from teammates about too much audio from mic.

I play a few games on consoles with a Nova 7, along with using it for my Vox headset pickup for my bass (10/10, best headset I tried for this). But, when I play anything multi-player, they all complain about too much ambient noise from my mic. Neither my PS5 or XBSX settings seem to affect this, nor in game settings. Is there a way I can turn down this distraction for my crews? Thanks!

I've heard these headphones have a ton of issues, but again they're pretty cheap and from what I've heard they're also pretty comfortable and the sound quality is great. I'm only worried about the reliability.

Product Help No more sound goes through headset

I have an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and everything was going fine. Since I had to change the battery during a game, I have no more sound going through the headset. Sound is working as I have the sound of the dac menu or the headest buttons but the sound from windows just doesn't work.

When I select Realtek audio source, it works well for through the computer speakers. Anyone had any experience or this? Tried resetting dac, restarting computer, reinstalling steelseries gg.

Product Help in game issues

i just recently switched over to PC gaming and had to get a wireless headset. went with the arctis nova 7 gen 2 wireless. i it connected to my PC with the 2.4Ghz dongle, but i’ve tried for 3 days now to use it for in game audio and voice chat on DMZ to no avail. i could hear my random teammates day 1 but i can’t hear anyone in my party and they can’t hear me either, and now even the gameplay audio is gone for me. i did have to go and allow microphone access to COD and Discord, and i can hear and communicate just fine using the headset with discord on my phone but i would really like to be able to use the in game audio and communication channels as intended

Product Help MMB not working on Sensei 10

Any easy way to fix? Mouse wheel scrolls but button doesn't click.

Didn't spill anything on it but mouse is used heavily so could just be wear and tear. Mouse is 6 years old so for sure no warranty.

Product Help PC and SteelSeries App not picking up Arctis 7 Pros

I have been using this headset for over 12 months and never had an issue until today. When I turned on my PC the amp didnt turn on. After a couple of repeated unplugging and replugging in of the amp, it turned on and connected to my PC. Ever since this happened I havent been able to use my mic and the SteelSeries software isnt even picking it up as an option to use. Any ideas?
