Favorite Tree in Sacramento?
I know a lot of you have a favorite tree here in Sacramento, let’s see it! Tell us why it is important to you. Here’s mine on Vallejo Way across from Cal Middle School. I love it for its size, the way it shades not only the house but the entire street, and because of the memories that I’ve made along this street passing by this tree many times in the past. 🌳 🌲

Lavender Heights businesses form alliance to push for changes to Sacramento parking rules
20+ businesses have formed the Lavender Alliance to address how extended parking meter hours have led to loss of customers. One found himself with a $92 ticket after expiration.
They want to meet with Mayor Kevin McCarty and Councilman Phil Pluckebaum to revert meter hours back to 8-6, and not charge for holidays or Sundays. They also have concerns regarding public safety.

Thousands of state workers walked off the job for a one-day strike. What happens next?
From the story...
- Thousands of California state workers took part in a one-day SEIU Local 1000 strike amid a bargaining standoff between the union and the state.
- Many striking in Downtown Sacramento said they are open to walking off the job again if negotiations remain stalled. Union leaders maintain the workforce is willing to take more action.
- The union has gone without a new contract since July, and many workers on strike said higher wages and more telework flexibility are key priorities.

If you’re considering going to dentists of Arden… I’d advise against
Few weeks ago I went into dentists of Arden to become a new patient. I haven’t been to the dentist in a while because I didn’t have insurance. So during my new patient appointment they told me I’d need a deep cleaning which would be $900 WITH insurance. Like most people, I’m pretty suspicious with dentists and decided to get a second opinion from someone my stepmom recommended.
The new dentist asked me to have the Dentists of Arden email them my X-rays they had taken for a second opinion. Tell me why I had to call them two separate times to ask, both times they said they would and never did. The receptionist at the new dentist office then called herself and they told her they would email me the X-rays. Guess what they didn’t do. So in total it took three phone calls from me and one phone call from another dental office for them to get me my X-rays. 4 phone calls total. Sorry, if you can’t handle sending an email, what makes you think I’ll trust you with my teeth?
Anywho, I just went into the new dentist office and they told me I don’t need a deep cleaning, just a regular one and it will all be covered with insurance. Even without insurance it would’ve been $125. Big difference compared to $900!!!!!!
It’s really unfortunate how dentists prioritize profit over patients. Newer dentists seem to be real scam artists. If you’re given a crazy price from a dentist. Always get a second opinion. $900 is not something most people can spare nowadays.

AT-RISK URGENT HUSKY DOG LOOKING FOR A HOME!
Neveah has been Front Street’s longest-term resident, having been there since May. After her previous dad was hit by a car, he brought Neveah and her dog friend to Front Street to recover, but he never returned. Her dog friend has since been adopted, while Neveah has continued waiting. Now, she’s AT-RISK!!!
Neveah (A689105) is adoptable at Front Street Animal Shelter! 🧡
She's a healthy 8-year-old, 102-pound husky mix and a total Velcro dog: loyal, affectionate, and happiest near her person. 🐾
🦮 A leash-walking pro: minimal pulling, great at redirection, and she isn't reactive to animals who are far away or across the street. If one gets very close she may pull, so she'll do best with a confident handler.
👃 Curious and sniffy on walks, so plan for plenty of stops
🦴 Treat motivated and a quick learner
😴 Plays for a bit, then naps the rest of the day
🗣️ Vocal like a husky. Most of her grunts and growls are happy talk
Ideal home: 0 to 1 dogs, with slow, proper introductions. A neutral large male dog may be a good match as she is currently co-kenneled with a male dog. No cats or small animals. 🏡
Her adoption fee has been covered! 🎉
📍 To adopt: visit Front Street Animal Shelter in person, 2127 Front St., Sacramento
🕐 Hours: Opens Daily 12-5 pm
Pet profile: https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/21701c5b-0f4c-486a-b8d3-aee7556217f3?tracking=39aa7ac1-9b22-4deb-afdf-4030d1c3ce40

Car Wraps?
I work off Fulton and I see SICK wraps on cars all the time. Just this morning I passed a purple/green duo Mercedes that was GLOWING in the rain.
My Question is, wheres the best place to get that done? I have a little car I'm not stressed about the price, but who is doing these sick holo/duochrome wraps?!
