Dog hit
To the woman who hit and killed the dog in
Del Paso Heights, I hope your mental health and car is fine. I know you were in shock and don’t expect to hit a dog. You pulled over checked on the dog your car then went to the police station. Me and some by standers checked on the dog..
the dog died right in front of me. Whimpering, my fist time seeing a dog get hit and die in front of me. I never want to experience that again and hope No one ever does. I’m extra emotional as my grandfather passes away on Tuesday and I saw him take this last breath as well. I’m traumatized, Reddit help me out lol
Edit: thank you Reddit community for being kind. I did reach out to a couple of people before I made this post. Most of their response to me was “it’s just a dog,. You never see a. Dog die before?” So I knew the Reddit community would come through! Xoxo

Google Maps why do you keep asking me to exit on 15th street???
I know how to merge. I promise I have driven a car before. I have even merged coming onto business 80 from 5 in rush hour traffic with the hell construction before. And yet you persist in asking me to exit on 15th street because??? Do you think I can't merge ONE LANE OVER for some reason???? You ask me to get off and like a fool I do and then!! you ask me to get back on!!! So I can exit on 34th! WHY THIS MAKES THE MERGE HARDER!!! NOT EASIER! THERE IS NO OBSTRUCTION IN THE ROAD TO NEED TO DO THIS WHY DO YOU KEEP PUNKING ME LIKE THIS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PICK ONE EITHER HAVE ME GET OFF ON 15TH AND SEND ME UP ALHAMBRA OR! KEEP! ME! ON! THE! FREEWAY!

Thank you for your support at tonights performance of The Fall of the House of Usher and Annabel Lee. Next Friday I will perform The Tell Tale Heart and The Raven. I start between 6:00 and 6:15. If you face the rose garden, we will be to the left if you walk towards the pond. A small area with benches. Camp chairs are good if you've got them.

Do mail trucks just fill up at regular gas stations?
We saw this mail truck at a 76 pump and thought it was way funnier than it probably should’ve been. I’d always assumed they filled up at government stations, so seeing one getting gas like the rest of us felt like seeing your teacher at the grocery store.
Was it actually filling up? Delivering mail to the station? Both? Any local postal workers willing to solve this very important mystery for us?

Sacramento City Unified forfeiting $1.8 million in unspent arts funding
edsource.orgSchools had three years to spend their funds, and those that missed this year’s June 30 deadline will have the amount of unspent funds deducted from their next Prop. 28 allocation.
Sacramento City Unified, for example, spent about 71% of its $6.2 million allocation, returning more than $1.8 million in arts education funding to the state, according to expenditure data.
In a fiscal crisis, and giving unspent money back. Brilliant.

Hit and Run
Around 4pm today a red Chevrolet hit my family (the black car) the video itself is blurry but the actual hit occurs at 0:16. You may need to zoom in to see what happened. The hit and run occurred on Mack Road and any information about the car would be helpful! The Chevrolet should have noticeable damage on their hood. This isn’t the black vehicle’s POV this is the POV of a passerby behind us who happened to record the incident thankfully. I’m not asking for anyone to apprehend the person who did this. Any information about the person and their vehicle’s whereabouts is more than enough. Thank you to everyone who helped my family!

Crackdown on bike and scooter commuters
On Tuesday 10/20 at 11am Sacramento City Council is meeting to come up with a plan for increased enforcement for e-bikes.The say they don't have a budget for police to do it but want to find another department that has funding to police e-bikes and scooters, as well as lumping electric dirtbikes into the same category. Instead of addressing the e-motos, They are lumping all electric two wheeled vehicles together for increased enforcement, and fines. They are citing the number of riders hospitalized at UC Davis Medical Center Inc easing 500% in the last few years as a reason to crack down on e-bike and e-scooter users. Most of those riders were hit by cars, but enforcement for cars is almost non-existent.

Learn basic electrical skills
Yo!
I want to learn to replace my light fixture and outlets. I’ve seen some YouTube video but I’m still a bit nervous doing it. Wondering if there’s some course or class in sac or surrounding area where I can learn or practice!
