Cyrus is pretty much semi-aquatic at this point. Spends all day at the pool’s edge (or straight up IN the pool and taking sips of water every couple of hours) then spends all night in predator mode. Two more days until a new prey release into the enclosure (2-3 dubia roaches, at least one of which are his favorite: full-grown adult males)

Long story short, I purchased a ZOO MED REPTICARE 60 watt Infrared Heat Projector from chewy.com (which I use a lot for my cats’ supplies and always have good customer service experiences with!)

The first bulb arrived with what looked like corrosion, so I was able to have a replacement sent. I just received the replacement, and it looks similar.

Do these look normal to y’all? Would you use them? Any thoughts on alternative brands? Thank you in advance!

i have been complete infantilised with reptiles my whole life, having my parents denying me having a snake :(, i looked at other alternatives and landed on chameleon. i do an animal care course at my college and they have previously had a chameleon which unfortunately passed a few weeks after getting it, i don’t think it was due to the college care because i know they are exceptional, it was a rescue after all. however this makes me a little nervous having one as my first reptile. money really isn’t an issue, there is no way i would get one if i didnt have the proper equipment needed and could give them the best life i could and more.
i guess what im asking for is if its a good idea because i do know how difficult owning one is and how quickly their health can decline, and maybe some advice for owning one?
thank you :)

Hi all, currently I have my 18x18x36 on the floor but I’m looking to get a stand for it as my cat likes to sit on the mesh (no reptiles yet)

I mostly know fish tanks so I’m not sure what rating I should be doing for a terrarium. There’s maybe 5-8g of soil in it, so around 10lbs (guesstimating), so should the stand pictured work? I can see a structural concern but I’m tempted to brace it after I get it

Monitors and tegus are regarded as the smartest, but what group is the dumbest?

Edit: Husband got home and saw the setup - he was thrilled! We're now debating what to put in there, so I'll update when we've secured the package. 🦎

This almost completed terrarium build from a curio cabinet is a surprise for my husband, who has been on a work trip all week and is finally coming back this afternoon. I still need to drill a small hole in the top for the misting cord and add another layer of polyurethane on the inner part of the door, and touch up a few spots on the wall with silicone and substrate.

Based on some suggestions on a previous post during the process of making this, I think we'll be looking at getting either a gargoyle or a few day geckos as it's first occupants. I'm also hoping to find a couple longer branches to provide more climbing space. Thank you to those who provided guidance with this!

If I have both probe 4 and 5 being used at the same time, they both show an error that the probe is missing .... But if I set 4 to disabled then 5 works, and if I set 5 to disabled then 4 will work!!!???? Do I just need to contact customer service?

Hi, I upgraded recently and got both jungle dawn and T5 lumenIZE products.
I have the app set up and the custom schedule I want. The light does not go off at the end of the day despite being set as 0%, does anyone else have this issue?

Saw this guy creeping on me on a walk.

I'm excited to raise up this little girl! Parthenogenic yellow spotted night lizard. She's already been much more showy than I expected her to be.

Just bought this and I can not for the life of me get this to work.

I've been able to insert the tube, rotate 90° until it clicks and is secure. But everytime, I turn on the switch, the tube will flash on for a bit then turn off.

Only one time, I managed to get it fully on, but then after a bit turned off again.

I also noticed that with the tube inserted, some of the pins on one side are still visible, I'm not sure if that's normal. See the pictures. Plastic feels a little flimsy, but even squeezing both sides inwards doesn't help.

Can't go back to the store for a few days, so any help is appreciated meanwhile.

● Basking spot: 34–36 °C
● Temperatura ambiente do terrário: 28–29 °C
● Zona fria: 21–23 °C
Nunca me tinha acontecido isto com ele.

Hi all,
I am looking for a PVC enclosure for my blue tegu. He is currently in a 8x4x4 grow tent and I am looking to upgrade. He is a little guy, about 2.5 feet long and does not use his full enclosure so I think I am going to downsize a bit.
I was thinking maybe 6x3x3. My upper budget is $1000 but I would like to stay around $700-$800 if possible.
Thanks!

As usual shes waiting by the feeding area for the lights to go off LOL

About to switch my leopard gecko to bio-active, have had her since July. Everything’s been great since tonight I saw two of these tiny bugs crawling, never seen them before. Does anyone know what they are or where they could have come from?

I spent over an hour searching and crying my whole house. I thought okay I’ll search the enclosure one more time. Then I felt him when I grabbed the cork bark. Silly mf literally morphed into his bark

Caught my snake yawning and its so cute
