Just got my new baby!
This is my brand new 1.5 year old parson’s chameleon. His name is Cobalt. He is currently in a 3x2x4 for quarantine, while his 6x3x5 vivarium grows in. He will be having a varied diet of dubias, BSFL, crickets, and an occasional treat of silkworms and hornworms. All will be gut loaded. I have 2 monsoon multi misters set up to spray for 20 seconds and 3 times a day. If you have other advice, please tell me. Also, sorry the pic is blurry. I took it from 30 feet as I was leaving

Looking to Rehome My 7–8 Month Old Veiled Chameleon + Complete Setup (SoCal)
Hi everyone! 🦎💚
I’m currently looking to find a loving and responsible new home for my male veiled chameleon, who is approximately 7–8 months old!
Unfortunately, I’ve recently moved into a new place that doesn’t allow pets of any kind, so I’ve had to make the difficult decision to rehome him.
He’s a very friendly little guy, and I’ve really enjoyed having him! I’m hoping to find someone who has experience with reptiles or is knowledgeable about the specific care that chameleons require.
Everything I currently have for him will be included!
Glass enclosure with front-opening doors and a mesh top
Water fountain
Decorations and accessories inside the enclosure
Remaining food and supplies
Everything else I currently use for his care
The enclosure alone originally cost me approximately $190–$200, and I’ve invested quite a bit into his entire setup.
Asking $350 OBO for everything. I’m open to reasonable offers, especially if it means finding him a wonderful home!
I’m located in the Los Angeles County area of Southern California and would prefer local pickup.
I’m not getting rid of him because of any behavioral issues. Unfortunately, my new living situation simply doesn’t allow me to keep him.
If you’re interested or have any questions, please feel free to message me! I’d also be happy to provide additional pictures of him and his setup.
Thank you! 💚🦎

Feeding a Panther Chameleon
Do these guys need to be hand-fed every time, or can you just release the bugs into the cage and let them figure it out? I put a mealworm near him and it wriggled around — he snatched it right up. But when I put five roaches in a little tray nearby, he ignored them all day.

Question Help?
Hey, I’m gonna attach some photos, but I have never had an enclosure this big as he is my first chameleon. (I’m gonna get him a new hibiscus tree) I could really use some help decorating it and lighting it. His old habitat all of these plants completely filled up to the top. So he had plenty of cover and clutter. However, in the photos that I’m showing now obviously he does not. Any help? (I haven’t even moved over his current lighting situation or mister. These photos were just immediate takes.

Question What are people talking about when they say not to use branches from "sap producing trees" in a chameleon enclosure?
I am currently making a nice enclosure for my veiled chameleon, but I am getting stuck on what branches to put into said enclosure. Something I have noticed pop up in almost every video and care guide for proper chameleon enclosure set up, is to not use "sap producing trees" inside, as it can irritate their feet. I am confused by that as every tree produces a sticky white sap when cut... Are they just referring to trees that produce harvestable sap (like maple?) or do they mean to only use dead/ dried branches?

Question Question for Panther Chameleon Keepers in Florida
Earlier this year, I built a large outdoor bioactive enclosure for my male Panther Chameleon. I live in Central Florida, and I’m wondering what nighttime temperatures you bring your panthers inside at, especially during cold snaps. His enclosure is too large to easily move indoors.
I also have a Jackson’s Chameleon in an indoor bioactive enclosure that drops to around 65°F at night. Would it be okay to temporarily swap them between enclosures for a few cold nights?
My other option is to bring my panther inside in an unused 24x24x36 butterfly enclosure with some branches, but it wouldn’t have a fogger.
Once daytime temperatures get too cold, I plan to have someone help me move his large enclosure indoors. I’m just trying to figure out the safest option for the occasional cold night until then.
What would you guys recommend?

Am I doing things right?
Hi guys, it’s my first time owning a chameleon I did a ton of research here and online I was also watching this yt channel chameleon Neptune? Maybe you can tell me if it’s any good.
She’s a female panther around 5/6 months old.
I’ve had her for 2,5 weeks now.
I’ve been feeding her small dubia roaches which was recommended by the seller but I’m in the middle of buying those jumping ones (idk how they’re called in English).
I was giving her water with pipette but she wasn’t a fan, she had a pebble waterfall but wasn’t interested in it so I switched to homemade dripper. Now she’s investigating it but since she’s not the brightest she didn’t see that water droplets fall down.
I’m misting a few times a day.
I know that I should switch from bulb uvb to those longer ones but I bought as an alternative because those were sold out. So it should arrive in a few days.
When it comes to her warm place I’m measuring her temperature with laser (her back only) and I think it’s alright - mostly 30,5 C
She used to climb metal net so I had to make more distance between the bulb and net so she won’t get burned. Now she’s only staying where she should.
What else… ?
So she switched her skin which went smoothly only took her a few hours.
She pooped twice and it indicates that she’s slightly dehydrated so I’ve been giving roaches more water veggies and that’s why I switched to dripper.
I tried giving her live plants but she tried to eat the dirt so I took it out and now she only has plastic vines she doesn’t eat it luckily.
I think that vines should be more spread out so she doesn’t feel cramped but i didn’t want to stress her out so I left it for now.
And also egg bin will be added in like a week or something because I want to to a little more research.
And lastly she seems happy she’s walking around, she eats normally, she explores, she doesn’t like being taken out yet but I think she needs to get used to me a little more. She learned to „puff up” her neck which scared me a little for the first time.
Let me know what you think but please be kind 🙏
I’m doing the best I can and I’m really worried about hurting her or something so if you can give me any helpful advice I will be very grateful

Tips on getting my chameleon to trust me hand feeding her?
(First off, I apologize for posting here quite a bit the last few days, but I just like getting other people’s help with her)
This is Ozzie. She’s a female veiled chameleon who I believe is around 3-4 months old (they unfortunately didn’t have an exact DOB when I got her)
Ive been trying to hand feed her every day in the hopes that it’ll build up trust, but most of the time she won’t accept it, and even when she will it’s only ever when I use the tongs seen in the video.
For around every 4 times I try hand feeding her, she only goes for it about once, and again, even then it’s only ever with the tongs.
I should say that this isn’t a problem about her not eating in general, as she will hunt and eat the bugs I put in her cage, and she doesn’t seem malnourished at all. I’m just wanting to see if yall have any tips on how I can hand feed her and/or build trust in general.
I should say that I don’t believe she is fully stressed out or scared, as she won’t run away or hide from me and she almost never has the spots that indicate that she is stressed. I’d say it’s just that she’s more so cautious of me currently.
This could also be because I’ve had to make some improvements to her cage over the last few days, so that might also be why she’s cautious of me.
I know that this is also because she’s still pretty young and so probably more cautious, but I figure that it’s also really important that I try to build trust in her growing months.
Sorry if that this was a pretty long post for a not too urgent issue, and I should say that I believe she is perfectly happy and healthy in every other sense (though obviously tell me if you notice anything about her that seems to say other wise).
Any advice on either how to hand feed her or how to build trust with her in general is appreciated!

Question Feeding questions
Hello guys! My veiled chameleon is about 2 months old now! Weighs about 15 grams. And I am wondering when to start introducing new food types to him. I’ve basically only had him on crickets as I didn’t believe anything larger could fit in his mouth safely. At about what size/age should I begin introducing Dubias, worms, etc? And I’m currently feeding him about 10-15 crickets a day. Should I continue feeding that much? Or less?

Boy or girl?
I’m pretty sure he’s a boy, but Google keeps telling me he’s a girl, so I’m just confused.
Also, best way to care for them? I’m sure he’s around 2-3 months. He doesn’t like mealworms, but will gobble up crickets quick. He comes to the glass whenever he’s hungry, about two-3 times a day, and eat around 5-6 at a time.
How many times should I be misting his terrarium? How long should the light/heat source stay on?
Any information is greatly appreciated! I want to give this little guy the best environment to be and get old in.

Water cup placement and DIY enclosure
Just finished my DIY enclosure! Spent about a week working on this for my beautiful girl. Just wanted to get everyone's input on my water cup placement, I've only had her for 2 days now and I haven't caught her drinking from it. I have a dripper set up to drip into the cup every few minutes. Should it be higher?
**Last photo is Chloe side eyeing her new camera.

DIY enclosure tips
Hey guys I got a chameleon recently. He is a year old and came with a 18x18x36in tank. This is obviously to small and I’m wanting to upgrade him. I’m all honesty I don’t really want to spend $300+ on a new tank when they seem so simple to build. Has anyone built their own? What materials did you use? I’m think of using 1x1 wood dowels and think metal window screen. My main concern is that on top where the heat goes the screen will melt/catch fire so if anyone has a brand recommendation that would be awesome!
