I made a card game where every card is a real species with more than 180 different chameleons

Hello

I recently came across the IUCN Red List and wanted a fun way to discover the species on it, especially the ones close to extinction or already gone. So I made AnimalsMasters, a free card game that runs in your browser.

You open booster packs (a free one arrives every 30min) and collect cards of real animals: each one has its photo, facts about the species and a map of where it was observed. The rarity of a card follows the Red List, from Least Concern to Extinct, so the rarest cards are the species that are closest to disappearing. You can also trade cards with friends. And also play daily challenges to learn about more than 40 000 species

The data comes from iNaturalist, Wikidata and Wikipedia. I'm not a professional, so if you spot a mistake in a species page, please tell me and I'll fix it.

https://www.animalsmasters.com

Which species would you want to see in the game? Do I miss some?

Black stripe down my chameleons torso

Post image
• Upvotes

I recently rescued this juvenile male veiled chameleon, I am a very new reptile owner to be frank but ive been dedicating a lot of time to trying to give this guy the best life he could live. Today after feeding him i noticed he developed a black line going down his side. I did some digging and learned this could be due to a multitude of reasons, most notably stress/ aggression or maybe thermoregulation? Ive already been having problems identifing what his colors mean since his previous owners did not take good care of him (hes been an ashy grey since I got him, due to dehydration I think) but this is the most alarming pattern I've seen yet. Does anyone have any idea what this could be from?

(Also if he looks upset its because i just misted his tank and he does not like that lol)

TLDR: Big black stripe on my chameleon,, stress, anger, thermoregulation, or something else? All input would help 🙏

Just got it all set-up for him - I am hoping my interior decorator skills are lizard approved.

I am going to add 6 live tropical plants are OK for chameleons and that will be the finishing touch. Will post photos again after adding the final touch.

I have an adult vailed chameleon. last night she layed eggs, she had never been introduced to any male before. Right now she seems to be moving slower than normal. Should i be taking her to a vet right away or is there anything i can be doing to monitor her?

Looking to Rehome My 7–8 Month Old Veiled Chameleon + Complete Setup (SoCal)

Post image

Hi everyone! 🦎💚
I’m currently looking to find a loving and responsible new home for my male veiled chameleon, who is approximately 7–8 months old!
Unfortunately, I’ve recently moved into a new place that doesn’t allow pets of any kind, so I’ve had to make the difficult decision to rehome him.
He’s a very friendly little guy, and I’ve really enjoyed having him! I’m hoping to find someone who has experience with reptiles or is knowledgeable about the specific care that chameleons require.
Everything I currently have for him will be included!
Glass enclosure with front-opening doors and a mesh top
Water fountain
Decorations and accessories inside the enclosure
Remaining food and supplies
Everything else I currently use for his care
The enclosure alone originally cost me approximately $190–$200, and I’ve invested quite a bit into his entire setup.
Asking $350 OBO for everything. I’m open to reasonable offers, especially if it means finding him a wonderful home!
I’m located in the Los Angeles County area of Southern California and would prefer local pickup.
I’m not getting rid of him because of any behavioral issues. Unfortunately, my new living situation simply doesn’t allow me to keep him.
If you’re interested or have any questions, please feel free to message me! I’d also be happy to provide additional pictures of him and his setup.
Thank you! 💚🦎

This is my brand new 1.5 year old parson’s chameleon. His name is Cobalt. He is currently in a 3x2x4 for quarantine, while his 6x3x5 vivarium grows in. He will be having a varied diet of dubias, BSFL, crickets, and an occasional treat of silkworms and hornworms. All will be gut loaded. I have 2 monsoon multi misters set up to spray for 20 seconds and 3 times a day. If you have other advice, please tell me. Also, sorry the pic is blurry. I took it from 30 feet as I was leaving

Question Help?

Hey, I’m gonna attach some photos, but I have never had an enclosure this big as he is my first chameleon. (I’m gonna get him a new hibiscus tree) I could really use some help decorating it and lighting it. His old habitat all of these plants completely filled up to the top. So he had plenty of cover and clutter. However, in the photos that I’m showing now obviously he does not. Any help? (I haven’t even moved over his current lighting situation or mister. These photos were just immediate takes.)

EDIT: I have his lighting and water situation done. I’ve had it done I just took those photos before moving everything over.

Feeding a Panther Chameleon

Do these guys need to be hand-fed every time, or can you just release the bugs into the cage and let them figure it out? I put a mealworm near him and it wriggled around — he snatched it right up. But when I put five roaches in a little tray nearby, he ignored them all day.

Question What are people talking about when they say not to use branches from "sap producing trees" in a chameleon enclosure?

I am currently making a nice enclosure for my veiled chameleon, but I am getting stuck on what branches to put into said enclosure. Something I have noticed pop up in almost every video and care guide for proper chameleon enclosure set up, is to not use "sap producing trees" inside, as it can irritate their feet. I am confused by that as every tree produces a sticky white sap when cut... Are they just referring to trees that produce harvestable sap (like maple?) or do they mean to only use dead/ dried branches?

By the way if you want to know I bought him and changed his enclosure since 19 September and I bought his bigger enclosures since 26 September

Am I doing things right?

Hi guys, it’s my first time owning a chameleon I did a ton of research here and online I was also watching this yt channel chameleon Neptune? Maybe you can tell me if it’s any good.
She’s a female panther around 5/6 months old.
I’ve had her for 2,5 weeks now.
I’ve been feeding her small dubia roaches which was recommended by the seller but I’m in the middle of buying those jumping ones (idk how they’re called in English).
I was giving her water with pipette but she wasn’t a fan, she had a pebble waterfall but wasn’t interested in it so I switched to homemade dripper. Now she’s investigating it but since she’s not the brightest she didn’t see that water droplets fall down.
I’m misting a few times a day.
I know that I should switch from bulb uvb to those longer ones but I bought as an alternative because those were sold out. So it should arrive in a few days.
When it comes to her warm place I’m measuring her temperature with laser (her back only) and I think it’s alright - mostly 30,5 C
She used to climb metal net so I had to make more distance between the bulb and net so she won’t get burned. Now she’s only staying where she should.
What else… ?
So she switched her skin which went smoothly only took her a few hours.
She pooped twice and it indicates that she’s slightly dehydrated so I’ve been giving roaches more water veggies and that’s why I switched to dripper.
I tried giving her live plants but she tried to eat the dirt so I took it out and now she only has plastic vines she doesn’t eat it luckily.
I think that vines should be more spread out so she doesn’t feel cramped but i didn’t want to stress her out so I left it for now.
And also egg bin will be added in like a week or something because I want to to a little more research.
And lastly she seems happy she’s walking around, she eats normally, she explores, she doesn’t like being taken out yet but I think she needs to get used to me a little more. She learned to „puff up” her neck which scared me a little for the first time.
Let me know what you think but please be kind 🙏
I’m doing the best I can and I’m really worried about hurting her or something so if you can give me any helpful advice I will be very grateful
